Sage huffed out a breath and rolled his eyes, though the other demon seemed more embarrassed than him, so he stayed quiet. Everyone there knew he could kill Roxie if he wanted to ....he just chose not to. He seemed rather bored when Hades arrived, and he bowed to the man with gritted teeth, not willing to bow to many people. But this was for Max and Charlie....so he could suffer through it he supposed. He scowled slightly when Hades asked him the question. "Max and I can fight. Charlie's learning to walk," he said bluntly. "Though she can throw a punch pretty well."

"Interesting..." he said looking Sage over then looking to Maxine and Charlie sidestepping over to them "Aren't you two an anomoly..." he said "You're famous you know... in our world anyways you are..." he chuckled "The first human to ever become even a half demon without going to hell... and of course the first half human demon to be born from a human..." he said giving a small smirk "I can't wait to see what the two of you bring to the table..." he admitted glancing at the demon who had been insulting them "I wouldn't be so quick to judge..." he warned "Especially not when i'm in the room... Me or Sage here could throw you into the void without even thinking about it... You should bow in their presence instead of insult them." Hades scolded before with a snap of his fingers the demons were paired off to spar, Charlie was now being held by Hades and Sage and Roxie were against another, Max was against the demon who had insulted her family and Hades sat back in his chair his attention on Max and Sage while Charlie sat in his lap demonstrating her powers by making the horns on his helmet grow bigger, she was stronger then usual but after a moment it was obvious that Hades was guiding her and encouraging her powers and keeping them under control, Charlie just seemed to be enjoying herself.

"Ready to kick my ass again?" Roxie asked snapping her fingers and changing into her more usual outfit (similar to Max's only leather and with a red shirt underneath the jacket.)

Sage grit his teeth when Hades sidestepped him and started talking to Max and Charlie like they were some kind of fancy statute. But he held his tongue and relaxed a bit when Hades seemed to like Charlie and Max. He was definitely ready to spar when he announced it, and was even more glad when he was paired up with Roxie. They could have a good match, but she wouldn't kill him either. And, of course, he wouldn't kill her. But he could be at her, and they both knew it. He gave Roxie a wide grin, changing into his usual gothic outfit. The black ripped jeans were surprisingly easy to spar in, and the black tank tops were light and flexible. And black boots...well, they were just black military boots, which spoke for itself. "absolutely," he chirped, readying his dagger. It was small, and looked like nothing much, but he was deadly with it...deadlier than the huge broadsword other demons held.

Max remained quiet, she didn't speak to Hades and she refused to unless he asked her a question. When Charlie was separated from her however that's where she took issue... at least until she saw that Hades wasn't trying to hurt her... and she wasn't upset to be away from her and Sage... she was skeptical to say the least but for now she couldn't wait to wail on this demon that was for certain.

Roxie smirked and nodded happily racing toward him "No powers for now..." Hades added quickly "I wanna see what you demons can do on your own." He smirked glancing around at the crowd curiously, of course a few hundred demons that were over reliant on their powers either didn't move or were wimps when it came to hitting one another... But he was impressed by Roxie and Sage and even Max was holding her own against the demon. Roxie laughed as she struck a blow to Sage's face "Come on you little punk ass demon show me what you got." She teased.

Maxine was battling it out with her demon and so far they were fairly evenly matched close combat wise it surprised her to think that she and this wise cracking demon were on the same level as her.

Sage wasn't very happy with how things were going. Charlie seemed to be fine, but he was partially distracted and a bit disturbed by Hades playing with his daughter. He didn't like it, and he didn't trust the man. Though, when Roxie got a hit in, he sort of hugged out a breath. He fought quite well without his powers....in fact, he did that all the time before to pass as human, so he had no issues with it. He supposed the quicker he could finish the spar, the quicker he could get his daughter out of hades slimy hands. So, he sort of just scowled and lept at Roxie. It was quite clear he could be at her fairly easily...even if she was super strong.

Roxie laughed at him "Come on Sage you and I know you can fight better then that..." She told him quickly pinning him again "Stop worrying about him... if he wanted to hurt her he would..." She assured him "You don't think Max would be allowing that if she didn't think Charlie was safe do you?" She asked knowing that "Safe" might not be the best word considering who's hands Charlie was in but still.

Sage scowled slightly, gritting his teeth when Roxie pinned him again. "So sorry for not trusting Hades to hold my daughter," he growled, though he wasn't angry at Roxie, and she knew that. "Max is sparring too," he pointed out. "We don't have much say in this." But he bucked Roxie off easily and lunged at her again. He just wanted this to be done and over with. He wanted to go home, and not worry for once.

"So?" Roxie replied "She's protective over that kid... do you not remember how far her ability can reach?" She reminded him "She rescued your ass and left Charlie with her conjured wolves... if she wanted to rescue Charlie she would even while sparring some pig headed demon..." She retorted falling backward with a hard thump as the demon Max had been sparring with flew over their heads and knocked into another pair of sparring demons. She was covered in bruises and blood but she was still on her feet as Hades let Charlie go back to her mother "Impressive..." he admitted with a nod letting her have a break while he watched the other demons... now he paid close attention to Sage and Roxie as the two of them battled "Why are you holding back Sage?" He asked raising a brow.

Sage huffed out a breath and rolled his eyes at Roxies remark. "That's all well and fine, but you can't expect me not to worry," he grumbled. This was all really hard....and he was over stressed and he was distracted. He didn't like anything that was going on here, not at all. He turned to face Hades with a furious look on his face, though he was obviously trying to keep his cool. "Why? What do you think," he huffed. "My mind is on other things! I know how Roxie fights almost as well as myself...I've fought her, killed her, and then fought with her countless times," he grumbled. "Besides, I respect you but I certainly don't trust you, so I'm trying to keep an eye on my daughter and my pregnant wife, who you currently have fighting demons," he hissed pointing in Max's direction. She was pregnant of all things....she shouldn't be fighting, especially not fighting someone who was actually hurting her. "I can't trust any of these other bozos not to try anything either, so I'm trying to keep an eye on both of them," he added, throwing an arm around to gesture at the other demons, still glaring at Hades with blazing eyes. "I'm a father and a husband first, and a demon second," he informed the man. May e yelling wasn't the best idea, but he was fed up with it all, and maybe a show of power to care for his family was what Hades would want to see in a demon. Besides, if he could tell he was holding back and they were still having a good match, then he could tell he was a good fighter. "There's a time for fighting and a time for peace, and this.." he said, gesturing to Max, and the child near her, "...is not a time for fighting. You of all people should understand and respect that."
