Malakai Negri - Kai woke up with fresh bandages, but alone. "Cam?" he called out. "Cam?" he called again, now getting worried. "Cam??" He called, starting to panic. "Cam?! Where are you!" he looked around, panicked. "Cam! Please no! Please, don't leave me!" he started crying. |

Camery Valatieri - Camery wandered back to the ward quietly, admittedly still exhusted. She probably looked something like a zombie, with that little teddy bear cliched close to her chest and clothes that were far too big for her. Whatever. It didn't matter.
Though, when she heard Malakai calling, her pace quickened to a quick jog. She came in quickly, and took his hand in an attempt to calm him down. "I'm here, I'm here," she promised, squeezing his hand.
She looked him over for a moment, and dipped her face close to his. "I'm here and I'm not going anywhere," she added gently, giving him a slightly concerned look as she tried to wipe his tears away. She'd hoped she'd be back before he woke up... she wanted him to know she was always right there with him. |

Camery Valatieri - Camery wrapped her arms around him tightly when he held her, and pressed a light kiss to his forehead again before she moved to wipe his tears. "I love you too," she murmured gently. "I promise I'm not going anywhere," she added softly. "And im definitely not leaving you. We're getting married, and we're gonna have kids and grow old and gray together, remember?" She reassured him softly. She then smiled, handing him the teddy. "I brought this for you. I know you don't like them or whatever... but it's yours," she chuckled. |

Malakai Negri - Kai smiled "I remember," he murmured lovingly. "Till we're gray and old," he agreed with a smile. He took the bear from her when she handed it to him. He smiled. "I love it, because its a gift from you," |

Camery Valatieri - Cam nodded when he agreed, a small smile tugging at her lips. "Til' we're grey and old." She rested a gentle hand on his chest after a moment, and gettle ran her thumb around. He definately looked better now. Less swollen... even his wings were starting to heal, but it would definately be a while until they were fully better. She smiled as he took the toy from her. She knew he'd said he wasn't allowed to form attatchments to to things like this... but if he liked it just because she'd given it to him, that made her feel just a little better. "I love you so much." She pressed a soft kiss to his forehead after a moment. "Good. Because you'll be getting lots and lots of gifts from me in the next few days," she promised with a bit of a whisper. She felt like she needed to make it up to him, somehow. She was still in shock that her parent's had even let this happen. "You'll be back to normal in no time," she whispered gently, looking up at his wings. "Think you'll be able to fly again?" |

Camery looked up at him after a moment, and brushed her hand along the hard bone at the top of them. She hoped he could fly. She hoped that one day, he gorgeous wings would be the same sa they were. It didn't matter if they weren't. She'd loved him with or without them. She leaned in to press her lips softly to his, her fingers running gently up the hard bone at the top of them. "Do they hurt?" She asked a softly. |

"Just a dull ache. The nurses numbed it pretty good," he muttered, looking over his wings. There were stitches everywhere, but there was just a cluster of them in the top corner, where those nerves used to be. That's what he was gonna miss the most. |

Camery nodded after a moment and looked back over at him. "With any luck they won't even scar," she whispered reassuringly. She leaned in to peck his lips again softly. She ran a hand up to his face, her thumb on his cheek as she let out a gentle breath. "You know how handsome you are?" She asked with a chuckle before sitting up. "I need to go eat... is there anything you'd like?" (feel free to do a little time skip if it seem right!) |
