Sage chuckled and sat down next to Luther. "I know. But you're willing to learn, and really that's all that matters." He shrugged. "Once you get the basics down you can incorporate the basic skills into all the backing and hacking you guys do. The issue is just that you're all so focused on hitting hard that the guys out there don't think for themselves or know the basics of fighting. Which, if they go out to fight people on the streets, is going to get them all killed." He shrugged.

Luther nodded slightly, slumping back in the seat. "I suppose that's true. I'm not the best warrior here, but I do think you'll have issues with all of us. We've been training like this since we were young, same movements and drills, throwing our weight around, really. The only difference is that my kingdom prefers its knights to be able to defend themselves. The knights out here just want to attack. No... what's the word... self-preservation. They don't care if they get killed or not." He shrugged slightly. It was true... the kingdoms trained similarly, but they had their differences. They both relied on size and strength, but Luther's kingdom couldn't afford to lose all that many men. So, they'd had defense drilled into them when they were pretty young. As he thought, he heard light steps padding up behind him. "Man, I was really hoping my future husband would be able to beat a lowly tavern boy," Anya sighed dramatically, purely to be of annoyance to the two of them. Luther cocked his head back slightly with a small huff before looking away again, rolling his eyes and looking towards the guards, who were full force back into their training now.

Sage merely snickered at Anyas comment and huffed out a breath. "Yeah, that's gonna be an issue. If they don't care about dying, they don't have much motivation," he muttered. He knew that one from experience...and Anya knew it, though Luther didn't. But it was probably shown through his tone that he at least knew what it was like. And while he could honestly care less about dying, he also was stubborn enough that his motivation was to stay alive out there. These guys didn't have any of it, which, admittedly, would be an issue. "And Luther, remember I've been killing and fighting since I could walk."

Luther nodded slightly, giving a light chuckle. "Well, I'd assume so. I wouldn't expect anyone to be as good at this as you are without it being apart of your daily life." He noted with a gentle smile. He wasn't at all upset that he'd lost... he had no reason to be, and honestly, it'd be good to get used to everything Sage had to say. "We'll all get a hang of it, I'm sure. Have you gotten anything written out for your schedule thing? I'm sure it'd be better getting it to ger sooner or later. If your training is anything like the way you fight, then I don't see much of an issue with it." He shrugged looking back to Anya for a moment, looking rather unamused by the whole her being there thing. "Why don't you run along and talk to your mother? Soften her up a little. Make things easier for Sage." He shrugged slightly before flicking gis wrist in the direction of the castle.

Sage snorted and shook her head. "Street kid, remember? Didn't really go to school so my handwriting is crap," he chuckled. He patted Luther's shoulder with a grin. "I might have to hire you. It's no good to make a plan if the queen can't even read it." Then he made a face and looked over at Anya. "You do realize that nothing you say will soften her up right? She just hates me with a passion like everyone else but you two." He grinned. "Makes life more fun," he all but giggled.

Anya rolled her eyes slightly and stuck her tongue at Luther... he was trying to get rid of her, she knew that. He probably just wanted to talk to Sage without Anya chiming in with some annoying comment, in an attempt to piss either of them off. But to hell with Luther, he was a bit of an ass hat. Luther shook his head slightly at Sage. "It's not fun when you get kicked out, though. Anya can go soften her up a bit, I dunno, make sure she's happy so that when you talk to her, she's not already pissy when he gives her this." He shrugged, which only earned him a slap over the head. "Sure, whatever helps Sage." She grumbled, clearly a little annoyed by his attempt to get rid of her. But she wandered off anyway, given that he had a slight point, and she wouldn't have been much help with this schedule.

Sage grunted and shrugged at Luther's point. "If you think there's even a slight chance it'll work, fine with me," he muttered. He threw Anya a look over Luther's shoulder, finding it odd and slightly amusing that the guy wanted to get rid of her to spend time alone with him. "Though, I have absolutely nothing done so far," he chuckled. "So Anya might have to talk for quite some time while I attempt to chicken scratch something out." It was an amusing thought, so he laughed again and slapped Luther on the back in a friendly manner, though it might have been harder than what he should have hit...he wasn't really sure how hard to make a friendly hit. But both he and Luther were a bit rough, and he was a big guy so he could handle the pack of a hit Sage's somewhat skinny arm (at least compared to Luthers arm) could bring.

Luther wrinkled his nose slightly, giving a slight grunt in reply. "Anya could talk forever if she wanted. And her mother isn't the type to shut her daughter up, so I'm sure we'll have plenary of time." He shrugged, clapping his hands together as he hopped up again. "Lets go to a parlour and sit somewhere to write this up." He noted as he pointed back towards the castle again. He knew shewing Anya off was maybe a little odd, but Sage was his friend - and quite frankly, Anyas never ending conversations were a bit too much for him so early on in the day. That was probably why she came out - purely to be annoying, because she knew she was.

Sage chuckled and shrugged. Luther had a point....Anya did talk a lot. And all the time, unless they were just content to cuddle, though he couldn't exactly tell Luther that....he doubted it would end well. "Yeah, let's see if we can manage to come up with something decent," he chuckled. He was sure they would, but they also didn't have a decent amount of time, either. Maybe he should have worked on it a bit yesterday. Oh well, he'd figure it out. Half of him knew the queen probably wouldn't listen no matter how good it was, but he still wanted to shove something good in her face, so he walked along with Luther.

Luther shrugged slightly as he opened up the walls, happily taking in the warmth of the castle. He looked at Luther with a slightly cocked head. "Have managed to write anything at all? Or thought of anything?" He questioned quietly, a curious tone in his voice. He did have some ideas himself, in regards to keeping the guards fit and healthy, but the training was all on Sage. He hoped it'd be good... so that it wouldn't give the queen another reason to laugh at the boy. That was pretty much what she was doing... making fun of him, trying to convince him he wasn't enough to be here. Yeah, he wasn't meant to be here, but oh well. Sage was his friend now, and he didn't have many of those. He'd like it if they could run around like madmen and cause trouble together.
