Also, im totally envisioning Jack as like a 5'7 guy with a slightly curved jawline and bright eyes, thin shoulders, and barely any muscle XD. Paired with light brown hair. Yeah. )

Quinn nodded shakily, trembling slightly. The bolt of fear that had passed through her when she realized Sage wasn't there was gut wrenching, and she NEVER wanted to experience it again. She glanced at Sage worriedly as he spoke, but nodded, understanding. "Try to be quiet." She informed Jack, thankful she couldn't hear Frynn's Loud voice yet. She sidled away from Sage for just a couple seconds to look at Jack's wound, frowning slightly. Knowing Sage was in pain, but also knowing she couldn't do anything, she quickly and silently went inside, grabbing some stuff for Jack's wound. After it was treated she went back to Sage's side, grabbing his hand again to show she was there for him. This time seemed worse than most, and worry showed plainly on her face. Thankfully, less than an hour later, the moon disappeared and the sun started to peek over the horizon, sending rays of light over the treetops. It was finally over.

Jack let Quinn treat his wound, then tried to stay out of the way, worried for Sage. The process seemed EXTREMELY exhausting and painful, and it made him glad he was a human.

(Dude, me too. Would not want to live that out lol. And yeah, that sounds like him xD)

Sage didn't know how much longer he lay on the grass, attemting to be quiet and not wake the kids and pretty much failign at it. Somehow, neither of them woke...they must have inherited their grandfather's deep sleeping habits. Which, in this instance, he was thankful for. He let Quinn come back, thankfully letting his head rest in her lap when she moved to stay there. Everything still hurt like hell, and he was definitely losingmore blood than he should this time around...but she was there, which made it much better than a cave, alone. He felt bad about waking her....but he'd have woken her no matter what, apparently. When he noticed the sun appearing through the trees anad the pain slowed before staying at the just really sore body stuff, he let out a sigh of relief. He could quite honestly cry if his ego wasn't so big. "I'm ok," he rasped through heavy breathing, once it stopped.

Quinn stayed by Sage's side, her hand gripping his, her emerald eyes trained on his sweat soaked head. She kept her hand on Sage's. As he spoke, her expression softened. "That one seemed worse than usual." She said quietly, gently cradling his hand. "Are you doing okay?" She asked Sage, then looked at Jack. "Are you doing okay, too? You both lost a lot of blood." She glanced at the ground, the blood covered ground, then looked back at Sage. "Is there anything I can do?" She asked with a joyless smile, looking around carefully.

Sage let out a sort of heavy breath in response to her comment about it seeming worse than usual, and nodded slowly, eyes drifting shut then fluttered open as he fought to stay conscious. He'd like nothin gmore than to let hismelf pass out...but laying here was cold, since he was covered in blood and sweat at the moment. It was rather sticky too, and wouldn't make the soreness any better. "I'm alright," he sort of slurred. "Least, I will be after like three days of sleep," he added with a rather giddy sounding laugh. Wait, this wasn't funny. But...he was giggling like a little girl. He was chalking it up to the blood loss. "Help me in bed," he asked with a shrug. "Get me out of this and into clothes that aren't freezing would probably also be smart," he added, definitely on the verge of passinng out as all of his senses went in and out.

Quinn brushed his damp hair out of his eyes, the look of concern still plastered on her face. At his quiet words, she looked doubtful, but his next ones just convinced her he needed rest. Lots of it. She hooked an arm under his arm and helped him up, trying to bear as much weight as she could as she led him to the bed. The babies were, miraculously, still asleep. She then helped him change into clean clothes, hoping he was warmer now. "Are you feeling better? Nevermind, you don't have to answer that. Just rest. You need it." She said quietly, staying by his side for the time being, as she guessed Jack would be fine for a little while.

After they went inside, Jack took a better look at the job Quinn had done on patching up his leg. It was rather impressive- obviously not her first time, which made him a little sick to think about. Poor them. He didn't leave yet, however, as now seemed like a very bad time to just ditch them. Instead, he sat on the ground outside, leaning against a tree and waiting.

Sage did as much as he could to help Quinn out, though he probably seemed like just a giant baby with a dirty tongue to her at this point. Once he'd gotten changed and was able to flop onto the bed, Quinn covered him up with the blankets which he melted into with a grateful breath. He gave her a soft smile in response to her comments, closing his eyes briefly when she moved his still camp hair out of his face. "Thanks, babe," he sort of rasped, reassuring her with another "I'll be alright," before he pretty much just...passed out, more than thankful to be here, with her, and not still stuck in some cave. Possibly with a bear. That wasn't the best judgment on his part, but it just proved how out of it he could get, he supposed.

Quinn looked down at Sage with a faint smile. "You're welcome, I don't doubt that, and get some rest." She said quietly, watching him konk out. Now, she knew she wouldn't get back to sleep in the next couple hours. She probably wouldn't want to fall asleep for days after this, but that was beside the point. After quietly feeding the babies, before they started screaming, Quinn sat with Sage for a bit before she walked out and over to Jack, sitting down with a small sigh. "Thank you.. so much. I don't know what I would've done without you." She flashed a grateful smile. "Jack.. I don't think it's a good idea for you to walk all the way back on that leg. It was torn up pretty badly. Would you mind staying one more day?" She asked quietly, a bit tentatively, glancing at him.

Jack had just let his eyelids drift shut when he heard quiet footsteps, and Quinn sat down next to him. He opened his eyes again, offering her a smile. "My pleasure." He answered, then glanced at his leg with a wince. "Honestly, I don't want to limp back on this leg either... I don't think I have much of a choice about the staying. If you'll have me, that is." He commented, stretching out his leg with a wince. "How are you doing?" He asked with a slightly concerned glance. "I don't know how you do this... live out here, with just Sage to help, feed two babies, take care of the garden- it all seems like a lot of work." He mused quietly, staring off into the distance.

Quinn nodded. "We'll have you." She answered, then fell silent until his question rolled around. " I kind of have to. Not like I have a choice. But Sage keeps me going, and it gets easier when you get used to it." She smiled faintly.

Sage didn't move for a while...in fact, he stayed asleep for that entire day, then through most of the night as well. He woke up briefly around three or so on the morning, and took the time to smile when he noticed Quinn was there asleep next to him and curl up into her, wrapping his arms around her before passing back out. After that, it was more of a normal sleep, and he woke up close to ten or so in the morning. He glanced around the cabin, and when he noticed that everyone was outside, he made the effort to get up and out of bed. It hurt, a lot, but he staggered outside wearily, plopping down heavily next to Quinn, mumbling a sort of still somewhat asleep good morning to her and Jack, and the babies even though they obviously wouldn't understand what he was saying.

Since Sage was mostly out, for the next day Quinn spent quite a lot of time talking to Jack and getting to know him. He was a really sweet, smart, good guy, and he always seemed to be able to see the silver lining and cheer her up. The next morning, a little later, she was sitting outside with Caspian in her arms, who was just staring at everything with wide, green eyes, and Frynn sitting on the ground right beside her, attempting to move and failing over and over and over and over. "Stubborn little thing." Quinn mumbled, glancing up as Sage came out. "Good morning- how are you feeling today?" She asked, looking at Frynn, who was trying to eat the earth. "Gah- Frynn-" She shifted Caspian into the other arm and grabbed the little girl, who protested with a low whine. Quinn sighed a little as she attempted to hold Miss Squirmy, glad that Caspian was super chill. He was content with watching the sky. Frynn, on the other hand, wanted to be IN the sky.

Jack had spent the last day recovering, and honestly, his wound was already a lot better. Quinn had definitely become a friend, and he was quite fond of her, but he managed to keep all not so good thoughts out of his mind for the entirety of the day and a half. He was now lounging by the tree, sitting next to Quinn and chatting with her, when Sage came out. The guy didn't look great, but he could understand that- yhe events of two nights ago were to be forgotten, as they were quite painful.

Sage sort of ran a hand over his face and shrugged in response to Quinn's comment. "Better but still terrible," he noted with a sort of chuckle. Though, when he noticed Quinn struggling to keep a hold of Frynn, he chuckled again and reach over to take the girl from her, pecking the little girl on the cheek and letting her wriggle around in his lap. He figured by sitting with his legs crossed, she had enough freedom to move around but could only get into so much trouble, as she couldn't get over his legs and he was right there. "I think she took all of the energy for both of them," he mumbled fondly, glancing over at Caspian, who was just content to stare up at the sky. He'd always had Frynn's energy though, so he figured he was the reason for it. Which was slightly amusing. Once Frynn Was settled though, he glanced over at Jack and cocked his head slightly. "Was I hallucinating or did you kill a bear," he asked, sort of trying to figure out how to thank the man. He very well could have imagined the whole thing, but the bear had gotten both of them, and Jack had somehow gotten him back here so...he figured it had actually happened.
