It was about an hour later that Lance arrived carrying in a big box for Charlie it was at least two or three sizes bigger then Charlie herself but whatever was in there Maxine could see that her dad was quite proud of his work. "Alright... now that everyone is here Sage and I have a little announcement to make." She said happily heading off and bringing back the positive test to show everyone "Oh that's amazing!" Hailey chirped happily "Congrasulations you two!" She squeaked happily standing and giving Max a hug Quinn joining the two of them.

Sage chuckled when he saw the size of whatever it was Lance was carrying. It was much bigger than Charlie herself, and it was honestly a bit amusing to say the least. But he greeted the man happily, and admittedly a bit curious to see what it was he'd gotten for the girl. They all got settled soon enough, and he grinned over at Max when she announced the big news, and when all the girls clustered together, he did find it pretty amusing. He thanked Hailey, though her and Max were already talking about it.

Hailey, Quinn and Max decided to steer their conversation over to where it was just the three of them talking and let the guys have some guy time. "So you're Maxes dad eh?" Travis asked giving a nod "Glad to see you've come back into her life." He nodded "Just in time too! You get to see your grandkids grow up." He chuckled "I don't wanna miss another minute..." Lance admitted.

Sage was fine with letting the girl go gossip over...girl stuff. He still had Charlie, bouncing her lightly on his lap. He chuckled lightly at Lance's response and then eyes his big package, whatever that was. "Yeah, but that's bigger than she is," he chuckled lightly. "What the heck is it?" He was super curious about it, actually.

"It's a rocking horse." Lance said "Saw it in a thrift store so I got it looking new again and thought Max might like to paint it... it's just wood as of now but it's practically brand new." He smiled "I thought Charlie might like it as she grows up... the box was just the only big one I had that could fit it." He chuckled.

Sage chuckled lightly and nodded happily. "I'm sure Max will have plenty of fun painting it. Mayne she and Charlie can paint it together," he hummed lightly. "He'd handprint on one side and the new baby's on the other, maybe," he mused before shrugging. "It was definitely nice of you," he chirped before looking over at Travis. "How've you been? I don't think I've talked to you in over a month," he noted with slight amusement. He was certainly glad to see his friend.

"Honestly that would be pretty adorable..." Travis admitted with a laugh Lance nodding in agreement. Travis smiled "Yeah its been a bit... I've been busy too I took up a second job as well recently so we can stock away cash and Hailey is trying to start up a small business to take some of the stress off me even though I kinda hate the idea of needing my wife's help to provide for us..." he admitted "But babies are expensive." He chuckled "Plus were trying to save up for a family vacation so... gotta stack away as much cash as we can." He chuckled.

Sage chuckled and nodded then wrinkled his nose slightly, humming in agreement with Travis's comment. "If Max didn't like painting so much, I'd probably feel the same way about her making so much money," he admitted. Roxie, and the whole demon thing ....it kept them provided for, which was why they said he was in the military. He was, just not a human one ....but it was an explanation for a lot of things. "Babies and vacations are two quite expensive things," he chuckled in agreement. "Max and I haven't taken one since our honeymoon, but that wasn't all that long ago. Maybe in a few years we'll go somewhere," he mused with a shrug.

"Let me offer you some wisdom kiddos... don't knock it... I understand you may have been raised differently but it doesn't make you less of a man just because your wife helps provide for your family." He said "There were times I wish my wife could have helped provide for us but in my day women working wasn't exactly favorable... they were meant to stay home clean house, make meals raise kids and the man was the breadwinner." He said "As long as it's equal between the two of you there's no need to make a fuss over it... extra money never hurt anyone right?" He teased. Travis nodded in agreement with a chuckle "That's fair I suppose." He chuckled before looking at Sage "Well at least your last trip was a success..." he teased playfully "Considering you're going to have another kid." He pointed out.

Sage threw Lance a slightly mystified look when he started talking, though he did look up to the man, and he did trust him, so he had to take what he was saying into account. "I suppose so," he hummed. Then he whacked Travis lightly at his other comment rather playfully, knowing what he was hinting at. "Say that to Max and she'll have your head," he teased right back. But then he nodded and gave his friend a grin. "We had a good time." Then he shrugged. "We've been trying for a while, that's just when it happened."
