His mother nodded. "Is there anything else you need, darling?"

Camery looked up at her quietly and shook her head, offering a small smile. "No... thank you, though. It means a lot," she murmured quiely. Her hand ran through his hair and she hummed in thought for a moment. "Would you like me to come and find you when he's up?" She asked.

She nodded. "Of course," she smiled gently at the two of them. She nodded. "Yes please, I'd love to speak with him," she smiled, standing up.

Camery smiled to the woman, and gave a bit of a wave when she left. She found herself watching the soft rise and fall of his back, each breath he took relaxing her slightly. He was so perfect. It did worry her, though. His mother said the spot on his wings were a source of connection. What if he didn't feel that any more? It'd be her own fault. She'd said lots of love would hopefully fix it. She couldn't love him any more if she tried, but she'd be going above and beyond to make him feel special. Make sure he knew he didn't need those nerves to love and connect with her the way he had before. Hell, she hoped he didn't need those nerves to love her.

Kai woke as little bit later. He didn't say anything, he just shifted in her arms, glancing up at her and then nuzzling back in.

Cam smiled softly when she felt him shift, her eyes soft. Her hand ran up the dip in his neck and into his hair, then back down again in a rythmic motion. She sort of hummed a quiet tune, and moved the arm around his side a little as she sat up, admittedly a little stiff and sore. She let him rest for a while longer, before carefully moving him off her to stretch, then settled back down at his side. "Hey," she murmured softly to him once she was sure he was awake.

Cam glanced over at him for a moment, her hand running lightly up and down his neck in a way she knew to be soothing. She offered him a small smile and leaned in to peck his cheek. "How're you feeling?" She asked quietly. She was worried about him... he wasn't acting normal at all. It made sense, his mother had explained to her why. But this was so difficult to work with. "Your mother came by earlier... she wants to talk with you, if you feel well enough," she whispered.

"Better," he muttered, still feeling pretty down and just empty. He nodded when she mentioned his mother. "Yeah... I'd like to talk with her too,"

Cam nodded gently to him, and leaned over to peck his lips lightly. "I'll go grab her," she murmured, pressing her lips back to his again for a moment or two. "Love you," she hummed lightly, trying another smile for him before turning to wander around. She knocked on his mothers door, and offered a slightly more genuine smile when she answered. "Kai's awake, if you were wanting him. He said he wanted to talk to you too," she hummed in a slightly more up beat tone.
