Kai kissed her back. "Love you too," he murmured, forcing a little smile. Kais mother nodded and smiled. "Thank you, darling," she replied, walking with her back down to his room. "How is he?"

Camery looked up at the woman for a moment, humming thoughtfully. "He says he feels better," she breathed, biting her cheek thoughtfully. "I don't think he does," she then added. "He seems so tired. I know he's healing and all, but he wasn't like this when he'd been shot down by Ori," she murmured as they reached the ward.

"He's just sad. Show him a little love, he'll brighten up eventually,"

Cam nodded gently. "I'm trying to," she whispered softly. "It's hard when you're not getting it back, though." She knew it wasn't his fault, but she did feel like it was her own she should have never let him go over there with her. She sighed as they reached the ward, and opened the door for his mother before wandering in behind her, the slight frown on her face turning into a more forced smile as she saw Malakai. He needed smiles... he needed people to be happy for him as of then.

His mother nodded. "Well, he'll get better eventually. And I'm sure if you start something he won't hesitate to continue. He's always been that sort of boy." She said just as they rounded the corner into the ward. Kai was zoned out, staring out the window.

Camery nodded quietly, then gave a soft breath. "I don't want him to continue something just because I want it," she whispered. She wanted him to love her. She wanted him to do something because he wanted it, not just because she'd started something. He wouldn't enjoy it, not really, and she'd just feel guilty that he felt like he had to. She'd love him to death if she had to, but she didn't think that was the way to do it. Admittedly, though, she was feeling a little awkward talking to his mother about this... but it had helped. She was a good woman. She walked around the corner, a small smile across her face. "We're back," she chirped, wandering over to perch on the edge of the bed. "He wants it, trust me. He just won't start it while he's like this. He feels like he's not enough and undeserving of it. Letting him know he is deserving of that would help, a lot," she replied. Kai looked over at them. "hey..." he said quietly, still very off.

Cam nodded quiely, although didn't say anything more. She didn't feel like she was deserving of him. She'd put him in this position, and she didn't want to start something he might not want... but she supposed it was worth a try. Later, when things had settled down for the evening. She looked back to Kai with a small smile, and pecked his lips softly. "I'll got get us some dinner or something so you can talk," she hummed gently to him, flashing his mother a smile. She didn't want to constantly be interrupting their conversations... and he probably wanted some home with his mom. She stood up, thanking the woman again before wandering off towards the kitchen.

Malakai Negri - Kai nodded. "Okay," he replied, kissing her back, watching her leave, then turning to his mother who was sitting in a chair beside his bed. "How are you feeling?" his mother asked kindly. "Better," he replied. "Thats good," He nodded. "Camery told me what happened, with your wings," Kai stayed silent. "Kai, its okay. Camery still loves you so much, it doesn't matter that you don't have the bondage from the touch anymore," "...I love her, I really do, its just... it doesn't feel the same anymore... I love her and I'm still gonna marry her, but... that bond was important to me... now I just feel so distant from her... she could do so much better than me, she shouldn't have to deal with all my issues..." he said shamefully. "Kai, darling, you need to talk to her. Explain this to her. She's trying to help," his mother said. "I know..."

Camery wandered back towards the kitchen, her heart thumping ass he thought about what he and his mother had told her. Oh, god she was was terrified. She still didn't fully understand what it all meant. Did he even want to be with her? That that connection just snapped and all of a sudden Aw was just... some girl? That scared her. She put come food together, figuring it would be better than the stuff in the ward before grabbing some stuff from her room before heading back. She smiled happily to the boy and plopped down at the end of the bed, although kept quiet and waited for them to finish up.
