Cassidy huffed -Man's best friend, huh? I might be a canine like a dog but I'm a wolf. Not a dog- she playfully nudged his hand so he didn't think she was offended with his comment. It took a lot to offend Cassidy when she was such a laid back person to begin with. Growing up she was an Omega in her pack and Omegas helped a great deal with keeping Betas calm just with their presence and they helped with other things too such as watching pups, healing others, and even some hunting with small prey. Eventually they came to the town and she slowed her steps, bringing her nose to the ground to smell for any fresh scents with zombies or even humans. So far she didn't smell anything or even heard anything out of the ordinary. Maybe it would be a quick in and out with grabbing some extra supplies to hoard before someone else got to them first.

Sage chuckled and patted her side. "I think a wolf is cooler than a dog. I'll make the exception for you," he chuckled before looking around and checking for any signs of zombies or living people around them They'd had their fun, but now it was all business...both of them could be wiped out in a moments notice. Turned into zombies. "Wait...you're not human, so if you get bit, what would happen to you," he asked her curiosly. It would be good information to know, because if she could get but and stay the same, the would be great news.

Cassidy stopped and her tail went in between her legs and her eyes looked away from Sage -I would turn into one of them. If I'm in this form and it happens then a Zombified wolf will be running around which is more dangerous than an actual zombie. I could still be turned. I witnessed it happen- she didn't want to remember her friend in the beginning being turned into a flesh eating monster. They grew up together and she didn't have the guts to kill them and put them out of their misery. She shook her head -But let's not dwell on that. I will be fine and you will be fine- her golden eyes turned up to Sage to look at his face.

Sage frowned slightly, and chewed on his bottom lip, thinking. He grunted when he bit too deep and his lip started to bleed...he really had to stop doing that...it was a really bad habit. He licked the blood off his lip and nodded. "Well, I'm not letting you turn into a zombie," he promised her. It surprised him a bit, but it was true. He'd die for the girl, though he didn't need to say that out loud.

-You promise to keep me safe? Oh yeah, definitely might as well be an old married couple by now except we are young- she joked. Cassidy walked up to Sage and she nuzzled his leg to sort of hug him the best way that she could while she was a wolf. It was safer for her to be in her form, especially when her senses were even more heightened and she could protect them both. She knew Sage would protect her if it came down to it, she just knew he would. Cassidy gave his hand a lick and she walked away in front of him to sniff a bit more before going towards a house -Coast is clear. Let's check in here for some medical supplies. Maybe we can bring some utensils or something with us so you don't have to eat with your hands- she giggled.

Sage laughed and patted her head when she licked his hand. He appreciated the gesture, even if she was teasing a bit. "So we're a young married couple," he chuckled. He nodded and looked around. "I've been eating with my hands for a very long time," he laughed. "I'm sure we'll find something useful though. Lead the way, search master,' he chirped, giving a playful little bow, gesturing her to go ahead. He'd be right next to her, really, but this was something fun to do, so why not. They might be on a dangerous mission, but he could afford to be his own dorky self...nothing bad was near.

Her head was held high when he called her search master and she gave a small snort -I kinda like that. It sounds good. Search master. Dun dun dunnnn- her tail wagged and she walked inside when he opened the door and she stopped. Cassidy's ears swiveled in different directions but so far she didn't hear anything. -I think the coast is clear- she started to walk again and she made her way up the stairs but the horrible, gurgled groan from a zombie touched her ears. All of a sudden a zombie was barely down the stairs with it's creamy colored eyes locked on her. Before Cassidy could even react, the zombie barrelled into her and the two tumbled down the rickety stairs. She yelped when her body slammed on the floor at the end of the stairs but she quickly scrambled to her feet. Her claws scraped against the hardwood flooring and she slammed herself into the zombie. The bone structure of the home was rotted so the two actually went through the wall and ended up in the kitchen. Cassidy growled and she grabbed between her jaws a sharp piece of wood from a broken timber and she knocked the zombie down before driving it into it's skull.

Sage trusted her senses, but it was almost too quiet...he opened his mouth to tell her to stay close but before he could say anything she was already wrestling with a zombie. He lept after them, and by the time he had gotten near them, another zombie had popped out in front of him. Sage couldn't help but grin as he grabbed his dagger and lunged without heasitation. The zombie was actually pretty good at fighting back, which gave him a bit of a rough fight, but it was fun. At least it was fun until three others converged around him and he let lose a string of curses. That made it a little bit more difficult....he knew he could win, he'd developed his own aggressive fighting style, getting in close and physical and cutting them down, but it didn't allow for the greatest amount of defense. He was comfortable with it though, and confident in his abilities as he lept and spun and slashed, all the while some form of a grin on his face.

Cassidy could hear more from outside of the kitchen so she ran out of it and jumped onto one of the zombies behind Sage and her jaws wrapped around it's neck before giving one sharp jerk and pulling it's head off. She dropped the severed head and stomped on it with both front paws multiple times until it was dead. Cassidy was panting heavily and she started to circle around Sage while her golden eyes locked on a zombie to his left. The fur on her back bristle and her lips curled back to expose sharp canines when she growled low. Cassidy stuck close to Sage without being in the way to help protect him just in case he couldn't handle them by himself. Now that he was more well fed, Cassidy had a feeling he could take them down easier now compared to a couple months ago.

Sage glanced over at the girl when she came out from the kitchen and grinned wider. She was fine, good. Now he could focus on fighting. And that's exactly what he did...now that he knew where Cass was, he picked up the pace of his fighting, and becoming more and more aggressive as time went on. The zombies were killed off one by one, as he ran around. He wasn't using his powers, but because of his light build he could run and jump at a pretty fast rate of speed...faster than most people, or zombies, could handle. There were always those zombies that had kept their own powers, and they could be tricky to fight. Unfortunately, the last zombie alive in front of him seemed to be one of those. And that zombie lept at Cass, using some form of speed from said powers. Sage cursed, knowing going against that form of speed would be difficult for her, so he used his own speed to lunge in front of her, the zombies nails scraping his face and teeth closing only centimeters from his face as he drove his dagger through the zombies open mouth and through its skull. He staggered backwards after, gasping for air but still smiling. Cass was safe, he'd had his fun, and he was tired, but we'll fed so he wasn't completely wasted after using his powers.
