I don't think my Mom understands how hard this whole gallstone thing has been on me between trying to afford treatment and being faced with economic euthanasia.
Protect, not spoil. Vaccinations are the bare minimum we can offer them to keep them healthy. If they're under our care, we should always do our job to keep them healthy and free of illness and discomfort.
The whole point of pet insurance is to help manage problems lol. The rescue I work at has a perfectly healthy cat missing her entire bottom jaw. There's one with ongoing kidney issues that require IV fluids every day. Gall stones are not enough.
Just told my Mom I got pet insurance and she was not happy. She says it isn't worth it and if my cat's gallstones hasn't resolved I should put him down.
