"Sorry. More so like a ghost than usual." Temperance teased softly, grinning when he essentially passed out. She made her way outside to sit on the steps, running her fingers over her hair for a few moments before she set to work about just what she had been discussing; a ride. Mainly, thinking. It didn't seem like they were near a main road, and even if they were, they were probably too far from New York to get a straight ride there. They also didn't have money to pay for a ride. So, it left her for few options but those in the magical realm.

Zephyr was out for a couple hours before the intense urge to do something overtook his exhaustion and he woke up with a jolt. He let his eyelashes flutter open, then groaned as pain came flooding back. His ribs especially. He rolled out of bed with a wince, standing and rubbing his face with his hands. Why had he ever agreed to go to sleep? He muttered something under his breath and rubbed his shoulder, where a bruise had formed.

By the time Zeph had woken up, through various different methods of mental telepathy, and a whole lot of struggle, T had managed to rustle up a large, winged horse. The mare was a smooth, velvety black with a simple white star on her head. T was on the verge of squealing in excitement, stroking the horse and soothing her with whispered coos. She took a few steps back and opened the door into the cabin, grinning when she found him awake. "Good, you're up. We've got places to be, so, let's hit the road." She hummed, grabbing her bag and looking so utterly excited it would be unbelievable to ruin her mood. "Oh, and, I'm driving." She grinned at him mischievously, moving back outside and hopping lightly onto the mare's back. The horse seemed utterly fine with it, snorting calmly as T stroked her neck.

Zephyr glanced up as Temperence came in grinning like a kid that just got a phone. He had never seen her look like that. "Did you get hit on the head again?" He asked with a slight eyebrow raise, walking out and looking mildly surprised at the Pegasus she had called. He could actually do something like that, but in a different way. "You can drive, but I'm taking a different vehicle." He smiled slightly. He wasn't exactly comfortable being that close to anyone, whether he knew them or not, so it'd be better. Zeph kneeled on the ground and placed his hands on his, closing his eyes for a moment, a look of concentration on his face. A couple seconds later the bony head of a skeleton horse emerged with a whiney. "Meet Opal, my best time skeleton friend." He chuckled slightly, hopping on and looking perfectly comfortable. The skeleton horse had skeleton wings, and somehow someway it could still fly. =defying physics

"No. I got a pony." Temperance joked, smiling at him. She tilted her head and pouted slightly at his words. "Dude. Do you know how long it took me to get Lucia here? And the entire time, you were able to just," She snapped her fingers. "Conjure one?" She huffed. "Would've been helpful to know." She muttered, trying not to seem bitter as she spun Lucia around, winding her fingers in the mare's mane. She reached out and dragged her fingertips gently down Opal's muzzle- or, skull? She wasn't sure. She retracted her hand and paused, watching him for a moment. "How are you so sure Zeus isn't gonna shoot you out of the sky? I kind of figured if you were close to me, and the bolt, he would be less tempted to..." She snapped her fingers, letting a small pop of electricity spring between her fingers. Worry was painted vaguely on her face. "Also, skeleton horse plus Zeus' domain... I mean, are you sure?" She asked anxiously. Lucia seemed to sense the sudden spike in emotion and shifted her weight from hoof to hoof, wings flaring.

Zephyr lifted his eyebrows slightly. "Oop- sorry. It's the easiest power for me. I practiced for years to summon her- its much easier with human, dog, and snake skeletons." He answered slightly sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck and trying not to wince. At her words he nodded. "Okay. You're officially way smarter than me in a sense. I thought about all that, and I decided it was probably easier to die getting struck by lightning than to die getting strangled by his bare fists." He groaned a little, slowly tracing Opal's neck bones with his finger. "Also, is that who caring if I live or die? I'm touched." He snorted. "Lastly, okay fine. You're right it's a dumb idea." He pretty much just vaulted from Opal to Lucia. "Sorry Opal. I called you for no reason. Say hi to Rex for me." He commented, and the skeleton horse snorted unhappily, payed at the ground, and sank into it.

"It's fine." Temperance shrugged, toying with Lucia's mane in a slightly anxious manner. She let out a soft snicker, glancing off as the sun began to descend. "In a sense." She teased. "Mm, you'd be surprised. He hit me with lightning once and it was less instantaneously painful than you would expect. A punch would have been preferable." She shrugged. She roleld her eyes at his comment, flushing slightly. "Maybe a little. You're kind of my only friend, aside from Lucia." She huffed, chuckling when he leapt to Lucia. The mare didn't seem troubled by it. She shifted forward so he could get comfortable, smiling at the skeleton horse. "Bye, lovely." She called, turning Lucia and walking her on down the beach. "Well. Hold on tight." She said lightly.

"In like ONE way in the ENTIRE universe of ways to be smarter than he." Zephyr added haughtily at her comment, then lifted his eyebrows. "Ouch. I would be hoping the lightning killed me instead of just, like, BZZ OWWWW OH GOSH THE PAIN WHY AM I NOT DEAD." He said with a snort, then his eyes almost popped out of his head. "Oh my gosh. You did get hit on the head again. I'm honestly concerned. Did the concussion still hang around or did you just fumble with your words? You do realize you just called me your friend, right? Wouldn't that be against the laws of Temperence's Whole doesn't like other demigods who act a lot like her facade?" He asked with a slightly sarcastic eye roll, but the whole thing was just to cover up a small smile that had formed and refused to go away. He patted Lucia's flank before wondering how he was going to not fall off the back without grabbing onto Tempe for dear life. There's another better way to die. Blunt force trauma. "Hold on tight to what!?" He half exclaimed half huffed as the winged horse launched into the air.

Temperance refrained from a snort at his first comment, grinning. "That might be the truest thing you've ever said." She mocked, laughing at his comment. "I'm sure it would be slow and painful." She added, slightly surprised that he didn't question her on the specifics of... getting struck by lighting by her own father. She scoffed when he went on and teased her, reaching back to smack him on the side of the head playfully. "I should've just let you get fried, you mole." She teased, firmly in her seat when the horse took off. She laughed in exasperation at his comment. "Me, cloud brain! What else is there to hold?" She mocked, grabbing his wrist as if he was going to fly off. She tugged it forward to curl around her waist, asking Lucia to level out so he didn't fall backward. The mare straightened her wings and snorted impatiently.

"Slow and painful." He repeated with a wince. "On second thought Zeus, I would love to be strangled." Zephyr snorted, wanting to ask about what it was actually like but not wanting to push into her personal space. Getting struck by lightning from your father usually was classified as personal. Usually. "I don't live underground, who are you calling a mole?" He scoffed, taking the time to calculate a complicated way to balance himself so he didn't fly off like a kite. "Cloud brain, isn't that you? You could've at least tried something like thick skull or bone head." He rolled his eyes with a snort, though a part of his brain was like *yeah no just fall off. You're close enough already*. He had always been sensitive about getting too close to people. Especially, at this point, Temperencd, because he wasn't quite sure if she'd throw him off because it was a joke and she didn't expect him to take it seriously or just make a bunch of smart Alec comments. "I could hold the AIR. The molecules and atoms! The dust particles in the clouds." He protested, flinching slightly as she grabbed his wrist but not pulling back, as he knew the force would send him catapulting off the back. When Lucia leveled out he sighed a little with slight relief, his hand still tentatively holding onto her for dear life.
