caleb half smiled. he still had his cowboy hat on. "you underestimate me to much" he said. he and his friends had gone through military training but didnt join. they all had more important things at the time

Taylor Browns - "I don't doubt you'd win any fight you'd get into." she clarified. "I just don't want to see you hurt, cowboy. Even if it is just a split lip." she said with a soft smile, poking him in the stomach, right on his bruise, though she still wasn't aware of the bruise. She saw him wince as she touched it, and her smile faded immediately. "Okay, I did not poke you that hard. Whats wrong?" she asked in a conerned tone with a matching expression.

Caleb listened and whinces as she poked him. "It's nothing" he said trying to play it off. When she kept asking he had no choice but to tell her. "Jacob and his friends when they took me kinda pinned me down and beat me up. Now there's a really bad bruise on my torso" he said. He'd been wearing compression shirts more often because it helped with the pain

Taylor Browns - Taylor frowned at him "thats not 'nothing', Caleb. What happened?" she questioned again. She listened, and her worry for him elavated wildly. "Oh my gosh, Caleb! Why didn't you tell me?!" she freaked out at him. "How bad is it? Let me see" she demanded, worried.

caleb looked at her "thats a funny way to ask me to take my shirt off" he joked. he took his short off revealing the bruice that started half way up his rips and down to where his belt sat. then to the middle of his torso.

Taylor Browns - Taylor rolled her eyes and crossed her arms, unamused by his comment. She watched as he pulled his shirt off her eyes widening at the large bruise. Normally she would've been captivated by Calebs body and muscles, but she was just focused on the giant bruise. "Holy shit, Caleb." she gaped at him. "Thats really bad..." she said going over to his freezer and pulling out a bag of peas. She found a tea towel, and wrapped the fabric around the bag of peas. Taylor came back and pressed the frozen peas onto his bruise gently.

Caleb winced. "It's fine just a couple of broken ribs" he said. Caleb half wanted to go to sleep as it was 12.00 at night.

Taylor Browns - Taylor frowned at him again. "Alright, Mr. 'its just a few broken ribs', I'm taking you to a doctor tomorrow. No complaining. Be thankful I'm not dragging you to the ER right now." she said sternly. She kept one hand on the bag of peas, gently holding it to his bare skin. She leaned forward and wrapped her free hand around his neck and kissed his cheek before resting her head on his shoulder. Taylor felt exhausted from the big day, and she really didn't want to go back out into the cold to get back to her house, but Caleb probably wanted her out.

Caleb stood there and tried to protest but stopped. "You can stay in my room I'll stay on the couch" he said. He wasn't letting Taylor go outside and catch a chill.

Taylor Browns - Taylor nodded and pulled away, putting the peas back into the freezer and putting the tea towel back. When she came back she had an idea. It might be a bad one, but it was an idea. "um, its pretty cold tonight... maybe we should just stay together, y'know for body heat." she said, her face flushed pink. She didn't want to stay with him for the extra warmth, she just wanted to cuddle and kiss him. Edited at September 13, 2024 08:53 PM by Burning Rose Equine
