( I added a bit of drama, if u don't like it, I can change it ) Celeste Harlow - Celeste smiled up at Sage lovingly. "Alright, Love, good night." she said softly and gave him one more sloppy, tired kiss on his jaw before she cuddled into his chest. Cuddling with her new boyfriend felt so right, so welcoming, so warm, so loving. Celeste closed her eyes, breathing in Sages scent and falling into sleep. - 4 am - Celeste was easily woken up, so she was woken by the faint footsteps of a man getting closer. She heard their hotel room door lock click open and Celestes body went cold. Shit. The Empress had caught on to her. Fuck, fuck, fuck. Celeste yanked Sage with her, running full speed into the closet. The pair was in the closet in less than a second. Celeste shook Sages body to wake him up. Once he was awake, Celeste sealed a hand over his mouth and brought her other hand up to her face, pressing a finger to her lips, telling him to be quiet. She then gestured to outside the closet where the intruder vampire footsteps echoed from. She released her hand from his mouth and stepped away from him, thinking about Lizzie. 'Don't move.' she mouthed to him and then disappeared to confront the intruder. She found the male vampire bent over Liz, holding a knife by his side to exterminate the little girl. "Don't touch her." she snarled at the man. The man looked up at her, and Celeste wasted no time. She attacked the vampire, moving at her top speeds. She hit the man in his stomach and the man threw the knife out to cut her, and he struck her wrist, cutting her hand clean off at the wrist. Since Celeste didn't have any blood in her system, she didn't bleed. And the sound wasn't as if someone cut flesh, it sounded as if someone had cut through stone. Even if it didn't bleed, it hurt like hell. Celeste clenched her teeth in pain and went around to the backside of the vampire and climbing up onto his shoulders. She wrapped an arm around his neck and pulled up, pulling his head straight off. His body could still fuction so long as the spinal cord was connected, so Celeste had to break his vertebrae apart and pull his spinal cord out, tearing it to shreds. His body went limp, but his head was still alive. Holding the mans head by his hair, she went to her bag and pulled out a box of matches. She walked over to the bathroom and threw the mans head into the bathtub. She pulled out a match and lit it, then throwing it at the head. His head burst into flames, and the man was dead within seconds. This was the only way to kill a vampire. Celeste watched the head squirm around, watching her victim die. Celestes disconnected hand crawled from the bedroom and down to the bathroom, crawling up her leg and side to rest on her shoulder as she stared down at the flames.

(I'm always up for drama xD) Sage had passed out pretty quickly. Normally, he took would have been woken by the door unlocking or opening, but their earlier activities had wiped him out. So, he didn't wake until Celeste woke him, throwing her a confused look as his brain hadnt fully woken up yet. He figured out what was going on soon enough, though, and his eyes widened as panic shot through him when he noticed Liz wasn't in there with them. His baby wasn't safe. He would have ran back out there himself, but Celeste had already ran out. He knew it would be better if he stayed hidden, but once Celeste had sufficiently distracted the man, he darted for his daughter, who was by then wailing loudly. He scooped her up and scrambled out of the vampires way, wincing when he heard the sounds of the bodies being torn apart. He'd been in plenty of fights, and he'd killed plenty of people....but this was a little different. And honestly a little weird. But, once he'd calmed his daughter down and Celeste had killed the....whatever he had been. Most likely another vampire, he moved to stand in the doorway of the bathroom, leaning against the wall there. "The empress will know what happened when he doesn't come back," he murmured. They'd have to figure out something to do.

( Oki! ) Celeste Harlow - Celeste watched the flames until all that was left of the mans head was his charred skull. She turned on the tap to douse the head and put the fire out. Her eyes had changed color during the fight, from the usual gold to angry red due to the protectiveness she felt for Sage and Liz. Celeste turned around, leaving the head in the tub. "I know." she muttered and passed Sage and going over to the headless body on their bedroom floor, her disconnected hand still riding on her shoulder, her right arm ending at her wrist. She picked the body up with one hand and threw it against the wall in the closet, hard. When the body felt limp on the ground there was a crack in the wall from the impact. Frustrated, Celeste raked a hand through her hair and exhaled, calming herself down. If she continued to be this angry she could very well end up hurting Sage or Liz. Not on purpose, of course, but on accident. After a moment of thinking, Celeste went over to her bedside table and grabbed the book, flipping open to the page where it reads what exceptions of what assasins will be assigned. She placed the book down, open, on the bed for Sage to read their options. "Read this. Those are our options." she said coldly, digging through her bag for her healing thread and gauze. Celeste didn't mean to be cold to her boyfriend, but she just got distant when she was mad. She could hurt to many people when she was mad. Eventually she found the thread and a needle. She sat down on the bed, her disconnected crawling down to her handless arm. Celeste started to sew the hand and her arm together, fusing them together once again.

Sage eyes the skull that was left in the tub, letting out a sort of hum. "Well have to get rid of the body," he murmured. "The last thing we need is a cleaning lady coming in here and finding a dead vampire," he sighed, frowning slightly when Celeste tossed the body into the closet. She hadn't done it hard......it had looked almost absentmindedly....but he did notice the cracks that had appeared in the wall. He let out a soft breath after a moment, sort of realizing how strong she was....he'd known she was strong, of course, but this was a side of her he'd never really seen. He wasn't afraid of her....he knew she'd never hurt him or Liz, at least not on purpose. But it was good to know how dangerous she could potentially be. He'd have to make sure not to piss her off too much. He grunted when she handed him the book, sitting on the edge of the bed and turning it so he could skim the pages. He wasn't a very good reader, as he'd never been able to go to school. They'd been too poor for that, and even if they had had money, and he didn't have to work from a young age up, he doubted the local schools would take a werewolf into their atudent population. "Not many options, are there," he mused after a few minutes of struggling to read them all. He tried not to take her cold tone to heart, but he couldn't help but he slightly nervous about how their relationship would wind up if neither of them talked to each other about how they were feeling. If they never confided in each other when they got upset. After a bit though, he sighed and settled Liz down, as the baby had fallen back asleep, and moved over to Celeste, where she was seeing her hand back on. "Let me," he mused. "It's easier to knot it with two hands," he added, taking the needle and thread from her gently. If he'd had a choice, he would have wanted to be a surgeon....he'd done a lot of research, and taught himself to read just a little bit so he could learn, even if it would never actually happen. But he could stich things up pretty well, and quickly at that. Which may prove to be a good thing if they were being hunted.

Celeste Harlow - "Charlene is the cleaning lady. Shes a vampire too, and this isn't the first time I've killed under this roof. The body is the least of our concerns." Celeste responded looking down fumbling as she had to tie the knots. By the way Sage had flipped through the pages, she could tell he couldn't truly read. The answers were only on one page. "Mhm, just marriage, kids and love bite." she muttered, frustrated with her stitching. When Sage offered to do it for her, she willingly handed over the thread and needle. She watched as he stitched her up and thought. Her anger slowly dissolved into sadness. Tears started the flow down her face, dripping onto Celestes arm, Sages hands, and his work. Celeste had only cried once, that she remembered. She cried when she got to the Empress, after she took her in, Celeste became depressed because she couldn't remember her life before the Empress. That was years ago. Decades ago. They had a maximum of 6 hours until the Empress figured it out and came after them. They were going to die. There was no way they would be able to find a pastor to wed them, and they had to be realistic, they weren't ready for that. Celeste wasn't fertile for another 4 months, so that was out of the question. The only mildly do-able option was the love bite. Celeste knew she loved Sage. She wouldn'tve asked him out if she didn't love him, but she couldn't be sure about how Sage felt. If he didn't love her, then they couldn't do the love bite either. Feeling helpless, Celeste continued to cry silently, her vision becoming blurry with tears.

Sage nodded when Celeste mentioned the cleaning lady would take care of things. "That takes care of that issue then," he mused, running a hand over his face tiredly. "I guess it's all easier with no blood," he added with a sigh after a moment. That was one less thing to worry about, he supposed....it was good that she had resources like that around her. Not that it seemed like any of them could help the three of them at all. When she mentioned their options he nodded with a sigh, moving to steadily work at the girl's hand thinking. She wasn't fertile, and even if she was getting her pregnant before the next person got here just wasn't possible. There wasn't enough time for it to all happen. And how the hell would they be able to get married? There wasn't exactly time for that, either. He let out a sigh after a moment looking up at her with a slight frown when she started crying. Things were rough.....he knew that ..but at least if they were going to die, they'd all die together. He wasn't quite ready to give up on it all though. So, he finished the last stitch and set the needle and thread to the side, pulling the girl into a hug, letting her tears soak up onto his shirt. 'its alright," he murmured. "We're not giving up yet," he added softly. He was quiet for a bit, mind running. Finally, he grunted and looked down at her. "What's a love bite anyway," he asked after a moment. It might be their only viable option.

Celeste Harlow - Celeste cried into Sages chest. She already knew how they where going to die. They would take Liz first, killing her as slowly and as painfully as possible, making both Sage and herself watch. Next they would take Sage and do the same thing, kill him slowly, painfully, and make Celeste watch. Then Celeste would be taken down to a cell and she would stay there for a few years remembering what had happened, until someone came and killed her. Celeste didn't want that. She absolutely despised that outcome. "I'm sorry... I shouldn'tve brought you into this..." she sobbed into his chest. Eventually, she managed to settle down and stop crying. At his question, Celeste lifted her head back up to face him. She wiped her face, although it didn't do much. Sage also had a giant wet spot on his shoulder from her salty tears. "Its when a couple is in love, they sleep together, and once they get to the edge of... flooding, the vampire in the relationship would bite the other one. Not deep enough to kill or change, but enough to permanently seal part of them inside the other. "This makes it so that they both smell like each other, and no one other than the love bite giver and recipient, will like-like or find one of them attractive ever again. Its basically being mates for life." she explained.

Sage just held the girl, letting her cry for a while. Sometimes you just had to let it all out, he'd learned that a while ago. He'd taken to absentmindedly rocking back and forth a bit, used to Liz he supposed, but it would t hurt anything with Celeste, so whatever. He was upset too....hed known this wouldn't last but he figured they have at least one decent night together once hed gotten out of the tavern. At her comment, though, he shook his head quickly and moved to tuck a loose strand of hair behind her ears. "I agreed to come with," he pointed out. "this isn't anyone's fault....you're trying to help and I appreciate more than I could ever express," he murmured. When she started to explain the whole bite situation, he sort of cocked his head, eyebrows slowly rising. He had no idea that was a thing, or how it worked but....he knew he trusted her. And if this bite was the only way to save them, then maybe it was a good idea. "Would it protect Liz too," he asked quietly after a moment, glancing over at the now sleeping baby after a moment. It was a difficult thing to try and figure out...but they had a bit of time before someone realized the assassin had failed in killing them. So really, they had to figure this out. And quickly.so much for getting a good night's sleep. But...if there was any chance of it protecting Liz and Celeste, then he'd do it. He'd always choose the option to protect them, no matter what.

Celeste Harlow - Celeste nodded. "It would protect Liz too. She's immediate blood relation to you, so she would also have the scent until she is able to reproduce herself and then she will have her own scent." she explained. Celeste knew what he was thinking. Sage wanted the bite to protect them. But it wouldn't work that way. "Sage, I can't give you the bite if you just want it for the protection it serves. The only way this will work is if you want the bite because you love me, and never want to look at another woman. If I give you the bite for any other reason other than for love, it will kill you." she explained further. They did need to pick a solution and fast. The time was ticking.

Sage nodded when she mentioned it would protect the baby. It did make sense, he supposed. His mind was racing by then, though, and he really just wished he was still asleep. But that wasn't going to happen, so he did his best to will his mind to work correctly. The bite made sense, although neither of them were exactly in the mood, given their current situation. He cocked his head slightly at her words, sighing after a moment and shaking his head. "No, no....I do love you," he promised. "I just....it would be a different situation if she wasn't protected too," he added after a moment, running a tired hand over his face and eyes. He met the girls eyes after a moment though, offering her a small smile. "Believe me, sleeping with only one woman after the tavern sound pretty darn good to me," he snorted. "I do love you," he mused after a moment. "I trust you," he added with a shrug. "If you think it's the only way, I'm ok with it." She was immortal, and he wasn't....so if things wound up not working out, once he died she could go do as she pleased again anyway. He didn't expect that, of course, but it was something at least.
