(I'm always up for drama xD) Sage had passed out pretty quickly. Normally, he took would have been woken by the door unlocking or opening, but their earlier activities had wiped him out. So, he didn't wake until Celeste woke him, throwing her a confused look as his brain hadnt fully woken up yet. He figured out what was going on soon enough, though, and his eyes widened as panic shot through him when he noticed Liz wasn't in there with them. His baby wasn't safe. He would have ran back out there himself, but Celeste had already ran out. He knew it would be better if he stayed hidden, but once Celeste had sufficiently distracted the man, he darted for his daughter, who was by then wailing loudly. He scooped her up and scrambled out of the vampires way, wincing when he heard the sounds of the bodies being torn apart. He'd been in plenty of fights, and he'd killed plenty of people....but this was a little different. And honestly a little weird. But, once he'd calmed his daughter down and Celeste had killed the....whatever he had been. Most likely another vampire, he moved to stand in the doorway of the bathroom, leaning against the wall there. "The empress will know what happened when he doesn't come back," he murmured. They'd have to figure out something to do.

Sage eyes the skull that was left in the tub, letting out a sort of hum. "Well have to get rid of the body," he murmured. "The last thing we need is a cleaning lady coming in here and finding a dead vampire," he sighed, frowning slightly when Celeste tossed the body into the closet. She hadn't done it hard......it had looked almost absentmindedly....but he did notice the cracks that had appeared in the wall. He let out a soft breath after a moment, sort of realizing how strong she was....he'd known she was strong, of course, but this was a side of her he'd never really seen. He wasn't afraid of her....he knew she'd never hurt him or Liz, at least not on purpose. But it was good to know how dangerous she could potentially be. He'd have to make sure not to piss her off too much. He grunted when she handed him the book, sitting on the edge of the bed and turning it so he could skim the pages. He wasn't a very good reader, as he'd never been able to go to school. They'd been too poor for that, and even if they had had money, and he didn't have to work from a young age up, he doubted the local schools would take a werewolf into their atudent population. "Not many options, are there," he mused after a few minutes of struggling to read them all. He tried not to take her cold tone to heart, but he couldn't help but he slightly nervous about how their relationship would wind up if neither of them talked to each other about how they were feeling. If they never confided in each other when they got upset. After a bit though, he sighed and settled Liz down, as the baby had fallen back asleep, and moved over to Celeste, where she was seeing her hand back on. "Let me," he mused. "It's easier to knot it with two hands," he added, taking the needle and thread from her gently. If he'd had a choice, he would have wanted to be a surgeon....he'd done a lot of research, and taught himself to read just a little bit so he could learn, even if it would never actually happen. But he could stich things up pretty well, and quickly at that. Which may prove to be a good thing if they were being hunted.

Sage nodded when Celeste mentioned the cleaning lady would take care of things. "That takes care of that issue then," he mused, running a hand over his face tiredly. "I guess it's all easier with no blood," he added with a sigh after a moment. That was one less thing to worry about, he supposed....it was good that she had resources like that around her. Not that it seemed like any of them could help the three of them at all. When she mentioned their options he nodded with a sigh, moving to steadily work at the girl's hand thinking. She wasn't fertile, and even if she was getting her pregnant before the next person got here just wasn't possible. There wasn't enough time for it to all happen. And how the hell would they be able to get married? There wasn't exactly time for that, either. He let out a sigh after a moment looking up at her with a slight frown when she started crying. Things were rough.....he knew that ..but at least if they were going to die, they'd all die together. He wasn't quite ready to give up on it all though. So, he finished the last stitch and set the needle and thread to the side, pulling the girl into a hug, letting her tears soak up onto his shirt. 'its alright," he murmured. "We're not giving up yet," he added softly. He was quiet for a bit, mind running. Finally, he grunted and looked down at her. "What's a love bite anyway," he asked after a moment. It might be their only viable option.

Sage just held the girl, letting her cry for a while. Sometimes you just had to let it all out, he'd learned that a while ago. He'd taken to absentmindedly rocking back and forth a bit, used to Liz he supposed, but it would t hurt anything with Celeste, so whatever. He was upset too....hed known this wouldn't last but he figured they have at least one decent night together once hed gotten out of the tavern. At her comment, though, he shook his head quickly and moved to tuck a loose strand of hair behind her ears. "I agreed to come with," he pointed out. "this isn't anyone's fault....you're trying to help and I appreciate more than I could ever express," he murmured. When she started to explain the whole bite situation, he sort of cocked his head, eyebrows slowly rising. He had no idea that was a thing, or how it worked but....he knew he trusted her. And if this bite was the only way to save them, then maybe it was a good idea. "Would it protect Liz too," he asked quietly after a moment, glancing over at the now sleeping baby after a moment. It was a difficult thing to try and figure out...but they had a bit of time before someone realized the assassin had failed in killing them. So really, they had to figure this out. And quickly.so much for getting a good night's sleep. But...if there was any chance of it protecting Liz and Celeste, then he'd do it. He'd always choose the option to protect them, no matter what.

Sage nodded when she mentioned it would protect the baby. It did make sense, he supposed. His mind was racing by then, though, and he really just wished he was still asleep. But that wasn't going to happen, so he did his best to will his mind to work correctly. The bite made sense, although neither of them were exactly in the mood, given their current situation. He cocked his head slightly at her words, sighing after a moment and shaking his head. "No, no....I do love you," he promised. "I just....it would be a different situation if she wasn't protected too," he added after a moment, running a tired hand over his face and eyes. He met the girls eyes after a moment though, offering her a small smile. "Believe me, sleeping with only one woman after the tavern sound pretty darn good to me," he snorted. "I do love you," he mused after a moment. "I trust you," he added with a shrug. "If you think it's the only way, I'm ok with it." She was immortal, and he wasn't....so if things wound up not working out, once he died she could go do as she pleased again anyway. He didn't expect that, of course, but it was something at least.
