Axel noticed the book right away, but he knew what it was now. He didn't pry, just perched on the edge of the bed, still working at braiding his hair. It was long enough to take a bit of time to do that. He didn't do it often, but it would make life easier the next morning. "You'll be needing another book soon, much as you write in it," he teased gently.

Duncan nodded. "Yeah," he sighed. "I'm going to bed," he muttered, tossing the book onto his bedside table. "Goodnight," he sighed, closing his eyes. But Duncan stayed awake, thinking... Did he like Axel? He'd never liked a guy before...

Axel nodded with a grunt when Duncan mentioned going to sleep, shifting over to his own side of the bed and finishing his braid before moving to slide under the covers and lay down himself. He fell asleep after maybe fifteen minutes, relaxing next to Duncan.

Duncan remained awake, plagued by his thoughts. He didn't know what to do or what to feel. He'd never really felt like this about anyone. Eventually he drifted off into a fitful sleep.

Axel slept rather well, but woke up early the next morning. Duncan was still asleep, and he found himself just ....watching him. He thought he looked sweet like that, if he was being honest. A smile formed on his face as he lay there, but eventually forced himself up and out of bed to get ready for the day.

Duncan remained asleep.

Axel didn't take too long to get ready, so once he was out of the bathroom, he just settled down on the windowsill again. The sun was starting to come up by then

Duncan woke to the sight of him with the sunlight illuminating his skin. He just froze and stared for a moment. He was gorgeous... he cursed at himself mentally and sat up with a yawn before Axel noticed him staring. "Mm, good morning," he hummed.

Axel had just been looking out the window, though he turned to Duncan when he heard him talking. "Morning," he noted lightly, a soft smile forming on his face when he saw him laying there. He was rather adorable like that...unguarded and happy.

Duncan smiled back. "How'd you sleep?"
