"I thought I'd lost it... it was your grandmothers - I let you down - but its back now. I'll look after it this time," she sobbed, although there was still a slight smile across her face, really just glad to have it back.

He could say it as much as he wanted, but she felt like she'd let him down. She felt like she'd messed up, somehow. She'd let herself down when she'd lost it. It was so important to her, and to him too. But it was back now. Thank the gods. She sort of collapsed into him, holding onto his shirt tightly. "My mother said she tried to stop my dad," she whispered, looking up at him. "I think he's lost it... he always listens to her," she added softly, wiping her face again as she tried to settle down.

She closed her eyes for a moment before letting out a heavy breath of air. She slipped the ring onto her finger and gave a small smile. Hopefully... things would start to calm down soon.
