She glanced up every once and a while, listening to the doctor's words as she scrolled. |

The doctor left to run one more test, Noah sat there, nervously fiddling with his hands. When the doctor came back he wore a sympathetic look. "I'm sorry Noah, the damage is permanent..." the doctor explained softly. Noahs eyes widened and tears welled. He was far, far away from having kids, but he'd always wanted them, and now he was so damaged from Rowan, he couldn't. |

Emery looked up when the doctor said 'damage is permanent' and she looked over at Noah, noticing the tears welling. |

Noah felt so empty, so flawed, so messed up. Noah just zoned right out. He'd started crying slowly as the doctor led them out and Noah got into the car. |

"What happened?" She asked softly once she shut her door, not minding if she was late. |

Noah shook his head, "I don't wanna talk about it..." he breathed, his voice cracking. He still couldn't believe it. He was so hurt, so angry, at himself, at the world, at Rowan. |

"That's fine," Emery said softly, starting to drive back to the house. She dropped him off and as he went to shut the door she spoke. "If you want to talk about it when I get home, i'm fine with it. If not, i'm fine with it too." With that she went back to the campus. |

Noah went straight to the bedroom, curling up in bed and sobbing. |

Emery eventually got home and tossed her empty RedBull can in the trash, setting her bag down. |

Noah was still in bed, sobbing. |
