Malakai Negri - Kai nodded. "Theres gotta be a reason why. We'll figure it out, darling. It'll all be okay..." he whispered gently, kissing her head.

Camery Valatieri - Cam let out a soft sigh and closed her eyes for a moment, turning her head slightly to look up at him. "I know babe," she murmured, resting her head back on his shoulder. "At least she's out of there," she muttered under her breath, giving his arms a gentle squeeze to let her go. She wandered over to their bed a curled up under the covers, her mind reeling. "She sent me letters, you know. Just checking in. She always said things were going well... I don't understand..." she trailed of wirh a heavy breath of air.

Malakai Negri - Kai let her go and walked with her over to their bed, curling up with her. "Maybe it happened right before she got out, we don't know yet..." he murmured. "But everything is going to be okay. You're okay and she's okay, everything is okay," he reassured her, holding her tight.

Camery Valatieri - Cam nodded quielty, and moved to curl into him with her head buried into his chest, a leg wrapped around his hip and an arm around his side, hooking under his shoulder blades. It had become a habit now, and one she rather enjoyed. She glanced up at him, and gave a small nod. "I'll speak to her when she's feeling better... she might be able to say something," she whispered. She gave a small smile at his reassurance, but she still didn't feel all too good about it. "I'm just glad she's safe. Thank you, Kai," she whispered softly.

Malakai Negri - Kai held her close and nodded. "Okay," he replied. "If your mothers willing, Alora can sift through her memories to try and figure out what might have happened to your father," he suggested. Of course, it was perfectly normal for her not to be okay with a 15 year old girl rummaging through her mind, but it was worth a try.

Camery Valatieri - She glanced up at him and shrugged softly. It might be a good idea... she knew her mother wouldn't mind, but that wasn't her worry. If something awful had happened to her, she didn't what that poor girl to be the one to find it. "I think Alora has been through enough without finding someone else problems, babe," she yawned softly. "But if she can't remember... it might be a good idea," she murmured, burying herself into him a little tighter.

Malakai Negri - Kai nodded. "Alora won't mind if it means helping her,"

|
Camery Valatieri - She nodded slowly, thinking for a moment. "I'll see what she can tell me first," she whispered. She didn't want Alora finding things that were potentially hard to hear. She loved that girl, and from what Kai had told her, she'd been through more than enough. She didn't want to add to that. She leaned up to peck his lips, deciding she didn't want to keep him up. It so late already. "Night, hun," she whispered after a moment of silence, settling down by his side.

Malakai Negri - Kai nodded. "Goodnight, babe. I love you...." he murmured, kissing her cheek.

Camery Valatieri - Camery smiled softly at the comment, and rather quickly drifted off to sleep. She woke up early the next morning. She had things planned... she had to see her mother as a first priority, but she wouldn't be up until midday at least, not with all the pills she was on. She rested an arm over her head as she rolled onto her back, a soft hum escaping her. She looked over at Malakai, her eyes dancing over his jaw and chest. She stood up for a moment and wandered over to the other side of the bed, perching on the mattress as she traced the scars on his wings. Her father had done that. He was going to kill him. He had his guards try and rip his very soul from him, and for a while there, they'd succeeded. He was only a shell of a man for such a long time after... he'd only really just started to get better.
