Anya shook her head but didn't try and push the subject. Anya wasn't some spoiled girl born into a somewhat wealthy family. She was quite literally royalty. She could joke about it as much as she wanted, but it wouldn't change a thing. Still, she wasn't going to tell him; he said he wasn't afraid. But really, who wouldn't be a little freaked out if someone popped up as royal? She gave a soft snicker at him before rolling her eyes, "You needed my money as much as I needed you to keep me afloat."

Sage chuckled and shrugged. "Maybe so. But that's not why I continue to spend my nights with you," he pointed out. He knew she was one of the top ranking people, and he had his own suspicions, but he wasn't going to ask ... He knew people had their secrets

Anya gave him a flashy smile, "I couldn't imagine that's the only reason. After all, you enjoy being with me, remember?" She chuckled, referring to his earlier words. "But, you wouldn't have known how simply charming I was then, now would you?" The girl joked.

He rolled his eyes playfully and crossed his arms, giving her a poker face...one well practiced that he could pull off easily. "Oh, gee, what makes you think I didn't see all of that charm when you came into the tavern and argued with me for half the night," he responded sarcastically, but in a teasing manner.

Anya gave him a somewhat friendly glare. "Well you didn't, did you you," she cocked her head curiously. "I know I was being... er... insensitive? to your situation." She brished over when she kept him awake, painfully aware of how much of a burden that was. "And did I reallt argue~" she purred with a chuckle "because I remember being interested in what you were doing. Which, wasn't much a four in the morning." She added teasingly. Sage hummed in playful thinking and gave her a look. "Well, no, I didn't, and yes we were arguing about some things, but mostly I remember you looking very frazzled and not at all like a proper young lady," he teased. He wrinkled his nose up. "Although a proper young lady wouldn't be here with me right now," he muttered to himself and then shrugged it off. Then he gave her a crooked grin. "I could tell you were supposed to be in control of yourself, if that's any comfort at all," he cackled.

"Supposed to be?" She asked with a chuckle. Her parents would agree with that at least. "Tell me Sage, what do you define as a proper young lady?" The girl raised a brow curiously. She found herself pleased to see that he wad teasing her - as proper as she was maybe supposed to be, seeing that the boy was comfortable enough to give out and take jabs was pleasant to see. "There's no way you could have been less... what did you say? Frazzled than me." Anya grinned, "you looked like you had been dragged through a hedge backwards to say the least-" she looked him up and down and pouted childishly, "you still do." Sage grinned back at her. "Perhaps, but I'm not exactly supposed to look like a gentleman or whatever," he chuckled. Then he made a face. "Hey, don't ask me what a proper young lady looks like, I don't look at people like that for long enough to form an idea of that." He grinned. "But you were definitely not all that when I dragged you through those doors," he teased.

The girl scrunched her nose, "I was scared," she huffed, "Don't expect me to look all lady like when I'm scared." Anya chuckled sarcastically. She looked him up and down with a grin, "I bet you'd clean up nice though. Maybe not quite gentlemanly. You need the personality to become a gentleman." The girl chuckled lightly. She looked up with a huff. "I need to get going. Big day of party planning ahead of me." She grumbled, rolling her eyes.

Sage raised an eyebrow. "Well that sounds lovely," he chuckled sarcastically. "Better get you back then, miss," he chirped, going into a over protective servant type of playful banter. "Your skirt is wrinkled, you have dirt on your face, and dear gods is that a leaf in your hair?!" He reached over and pulled a leaf out of her hair with a grin.
