Adele was so deep in thought she hardly heard the prince speak, but she did. She looked up at him and said, "No, it's okay. Thank you." Then looked away again and thought some more. She was surprised to feel a tear rolling down her cheek. She wiped it away, frustrated. "It's just... It's all so confusing." Adele finally let the tears fall. It felt good to cry, letting all her emotions come out and sink into the ground. |

Caelan saw her crying and immedietly grabbed her hently and held her close, rocking her and rubbing her back. "No, don't cry. It's alright, I shouldn't have done that. I know both of our kingdoms would...start a war over this and I shouldn't have done that." He said softly, holding her close |

Adele let him hold her, and her crying slowed. When he apologized again, she looked determinedly (is that a word? :P) into his eyes and said, "No. Don't apologize. I needed to cry... It helped me understand something, anyway." Her face softened, and she reached up to touch his face. "I wouldn't be this disordered if I didn't have a reason to be... If I didn't really like you back." Adele kissed him again, softly, in case he wanted to pull away. After a moment, she pulled back and said, "But I still don't know what to do. Eventually I need to go back to my kingdom, and what will I tell my parents? 'Hi, I ran away before because I didn't want to go to boarding school and marry some stupid prince. And then I fell in love with our kingdom's worst enemy.'? They're not going to take that well. And remember, we both still have to rule our kingdoms." |

Caelan listened and kissed her back before listening once more and thinking. "I...don't know what to do, honestly. I really like you and I want to have something with you and I but the Night kingdom is gonna be mine by the end of the month with the way my father's sickness is progressing and you should live a normal life with someone from the day kingdom. I just eish I could still have you here and you didn't need to go back..." Caelan said softly, thinking. "What if once I'm king, or even before that, I can go and talk to your father about a truce between the kingdoms? Even you said I'm not like how you were told all Night Kingdom people are. Maybe your parents can see that too." |

Adele scooted back so she could look at the ocean. "That's actually a pretty good idea. If I come with you when you try to make the truce, they might listen to you. And if I tell them I like the idea, they'll be even more likely to agree. Though," Adele added, "If I know my father, he'll try to strike a deal that will benefit the Day Kingdom more than the Night. But they'll both be glad I'm talking to them." She rolled her eyes, then continued. "If we leave in tomorrow morning, we might make it before suppertime." |

"Of course!" Adele said kindly. "I want our kingdoms to not get into a war too. War is something no one deserves..." Adele trailed off, thinking about how wonderful she thought the Night Kingdom was in the small amout of time she'd been here. "Though," Adele added playfully, "My parents will freak out if I show up wearing the clothes you got me." She looked at the outfit, sitting on a blanket a few feet away. "But I think I'll wear it anyway. It'll tell them I actually care about this." |

"Will they...do anyting to you if you do where them?" He asked softly, slightly worried her own parents would harm her. After all, that was how he'd been raised but he would never do that to his future children |

Adele realized he was worried that her parents would hurt her, and she smiled to herself. 'He really does care about me.' "No, no, they don't have that kind of teaching method. Most likely my mother and maid would give me a lecture on why soon-to-be princesses should wear fancy dresses that suffocate you." She paused, rolling her eyes. Then, realizing what the price was hinting at, said, "Wait, are you telling me that that's how your parents taught you?" |

"Well, I thought that was just normal...But now that your face and voice are like that, I'm guessing it's not?" He asked, confused. He had been so sure that all parents raised their kids hitting them and yelling at them. "Your parents never screamed at you or punched you?" |
