Maxine laid her head on his shoulder "Well it didn't did it?" she teased as she went for another strawberry. Charlie came running out as soon as she heard the plastic container crinkle "Chocolate strawberries!?" she squeaked "Can I have one mama?" she squeaked "Sure kiddo..." she said semi reluctantly sharing a strawberry with her daughter... of course she wanted to keep them for herself but she was happy her daughter wanted something at least mostly healthy for a little snack.

Sage chuckled lightly and shrugged. "I guess so," he mused. "Maybe I should start saying that stuff more if it gets me love," he noted with a mischievous glint in his eyes. He wrapped an arm around her and smiled over at Charlie, more than amused at how fast she rejoined the family when food was involved. He would have taken one, but Max seemed to want those ones, and there were more in the fridge. He just didn't really want to get up and go get them.

Maxine chuckled "Hushhhhh at least wait until later when Charlie is asleep!" she protested with a giggle. Charlie smiled and hopped up into her fathers lap eyeing the strawberries with a pouty face "Mama is being stingy with the strawberries..." she complained "Sorry kiddo i'm eating for two!" she teased.

Sage chuckled lightly and nodded. "Fine, fine," he whined in a playful manner. He wrapped his free arm around Charlie when she hopped onto his lap and chuckled. "That's why I'm not asking for any," he joked, winking at the girl. "I'll bring you out for a treat tomorrow, how does that sound," he asked her happily. He did want to go out with his family now that he was back.

Charlie giggled happily "Okay! Ooo could we go for doughnuts!?" she squeaked excitedly "Oooh that does sound fantastic..." Max admitted between bites of her strawberry.

Sage chuckled lightly at the two of them and nodded. "We can get them for breakfast tomorrow, how about that," he asked happily. "I can run out and get them and bring them back here if youd prefer," he added, knowing Max may not exactly want to go out somewhere.

Charlie smiled happily at that and nodded hugging him. "Nah we can all get out of the house for a bit." she nodded "Though we might spend a small fortune at the doughnut place depending on what they've got..." she giggled.

Sage chuckled lightly and nodded. He would be glad to go out with his family. "Maybe charlie would like to spend some time with grandpa that afternoon and I can take you somewhere nice after," he added with a wink to Max.

Maxine smiled "Perfect." She cooed "Though I'm curious where you'd take your pregnant wife..." She admitted with a laugh. "Maybe sometime this week you and Charlie can have a daddy daughter day of some kind too?" She offered "Yeah!" Charlie chirped excitedly "Oh can we dada?" She asked eagerly.

Sage chuckled lightly and shrugged. "Just because you're pregnant doesn't mean we can't go out," he laughed lightly. Then he nodded and smiled at Charlie. "sure, him," he chirped. "That would be fun," he giggled lightly.
