Rose's head shot up as she heard her name, but didn't see who'd said it. She rested her head against his bed, leaning on it while sitting in the chair and holding his hand still. She didn't dare let go, in hope he would be okay and not caring if it was a false hope. She closed her eyes slowly and fell asleep, dreamless

Caden fought his way up,wincing at the cramps. "Rose," He said,only slightly louder this time.His eyes open,wanting to shut but Caden forcing them open.

Rose heard her name again and opened her eyes. She froze, not believing Caden had said her name. She lifted her head and looked at him while noticing his hand was warmer than before. "Caden?" She said quietly, a tear rolling down her cheek

"Rose," He swifted again.The lines of poison had spread up to his jaw at this point,looking like pure black veins,rippling across his skin.

Rose glanced at the veins. "Don't ever do that to me again" She said softly, tears continuing down her face

"Water?" He croaks,voice shaky as he asked

Rose nodded, turning and reaching to grab a glass she had been offered that morning but never drank. She handed it to him with a soft smile

Caden shakily grabbed the cup,downsing down the water. "If there's anymore I'll take it aswell." He croaks,looking back at Rose. "It was a accident.You were never meant to find out this way.I was walking out of my study to come tell you that I needed to come here.Should've done it quicker." Caden quietly admits,seeing her look at the veins of the poison. "They'll stay like that,forever.My blood will forever carry the fragments of it,never to be cleaned from it." He says

"I don't care. You're alive and I love you. I'm gonna get you more water. I'll be right back." She said, dropping his hand and darting to grab water. She returned less than a minute later, handing him the water and taking his hand

Caden opened his mouth to say something as she left but did'nt,snapping his jaw shut.He took the water and sipped on it,savoring it. "Holy fuck." He mutters,eyes shifting to his leg,wincing.
