Sage moved to cautiously scoop up the empty bottles, the smell of them making his nose wrinkle and lip curl. He did his best to stay quiet, not wanting to wake his father. He apparently didn't do a very good job though, because he felt a hand grab his wrist, and he paled, trying to back away but the grip tightened to the point where it would definitely leave a bruise. He flinched when he started to yell about ..he wasn't even sure what. He was relieved when the guy simply told him to go get him another bottle and shoved him over. He managed to avoid falling, handing him another bottle and then scrambling upstairs, taking a minute calm himself before sliding into his room, greeting his woman happily.

"Hey. You alright?" She asked, getting up and wrapping her arms around him. "I heard yelling." She commented, holding his face with one of her hands. "What is the soonest you want to leave this place? I can figure out a home loan for us?" She kissed his neck.

Sage offered her a small smile."he was too drunk to hit me this time," he reassured her. "I'm alright." Then wrinkled his nose. "As soon as possible," he noted with a sigh, pecking her head lightly. "We can plan it all out tonight if you want," he murmured.

(Sorry. Was in class) "Yeah. That's probably best. I have about 12K saved in my savings account. We could put that towards the loan. Or just rent a house until then." She started pacing the length of the room, arms crossed and sweating lightly.

(you're good. I'm leaving for calc now so I won't be in for a bit) Sage nibbled on his lip ring and sighed with a nod. "Maybe renting would be best," he mused. It would definitely be cheaper for them. "I have around 15k," he added. It wasn't much but it was something.

"27K will do for an apartment at the least. A couple are down the road and only 3K a month. Food is another thing. For now, though, only you and I are eating. I'm not typically hungry anyways, so I will be cheaper than usual." She walked over to Sage and sat in his lap, tracing his biceps. She sighed. "We should leave tomorrow. Early." She said, crawling deeper into bed.

Sage nodded happily and pecked her forehead when she slid into his lap. "We'll manage. We don't need to eat a whole lot." He was used to not having much money, so he grew up not eating a whole lot. "Yeah," he murmured. "That sounds like a good idea."

She pushed him down onto the bed and climbed on top of him. She snuggled herself on his chest and stomach. "Night, handsome." She muttered, falling asleep.

Sage smiled when she tugged him over, wrapping his arms around her happily. "Goodnight," he hummed happily. He stayed awake for a while, making sure his father wasn't going to barge around drink or anything but he finally did fall asleep.
