Ali glanced over at the black armored knight as he took his worse from a squire. He had no squires and no help. He much prefered to do everything on his own even though he wasn't a neat or control freak. Crow danced slightly, he hadn't gotten out since the day before yesterday and was just as excited to get out as Ali was- though at the moment if anyone asked his name was Felix. Felix Rider. He walked out to a mounting block and easily made it up onto his horse. Having light armor was very good at times. He made sure his reins were in order and spun Crow around before he let Crow prance his way through the courtyard. He was oddly cantering, wanting to gallop but Ali wouldn't let him and was just rocking along with. He was enjoying it as much as his horse was. He did pull him back shortly after though and aimed him at the line-up. He put himself in the seat straighter as he got near, Crow in a collected trot. Then to a walk and stopping right beside a velvety black stallion with white spread over his stomach and flanks. Who was quite well behaved. He looked down the line of other knights. He seemed antsy. As usual.

Her eyes flicked to the prancing horse beside her, a small smile perking her lips at the beautiful horse. Kaden, however, barely gave the knight an acknowledgment, staring lightly off at the stands. He did, however, take in the nervous behavior of the new arrival. Anxious. She had been to enough tournaments bigger than this that the real nerves only kicked in when they were slamming down the straightway at each other.

He nodded back at the knight and settled in, making sure the reins were right once more, though they were. He wasn't really that nervous, he was mostly excited. The nerves were the best part usually. One might call him a thrill seeker. He straightened out his posture and held still. The parading music started up, horns, trumpets and drums started up. Certain Knight's were being led to the other side and some stayed there. In an organized fashion they were being separated based on who they were jousting for the first round.

I think they competed against each other the second round, so theyre on different sides but don't face each other))

Kitty stayed where she was, as she was instructed, waiting to see some exciting rounds. She had to wait through multiple before her own came up. The announcer called her alias over the intercoms and a cheer ran through the crowd. She smiled to herself. While she would never admit it, she did enjoy being a well known jouster. She surveyed her opponent from across the ring. A medium sized, average looking knight with no obvious strength. She hekd up a finger sign to her squire, and he handed up a medium lance, as instructed. She squared Grimm up, letting him prance eagerly before the flag waved (or trumpet I dont remember but whatever). She let him take off, Grimm sprinting down the straight like an arrow. A thing that made her particularly popular with the crowd was often how late she lowered her lance, giving her opponent no time to anticipate where she was aiming for. She did the same thing this time, lowering her lance in just enough time to shatter it, hard, against the other knights shoulder. The other lance glanced off her breastplate as the other tried to both dodge her lance and stay on at once. He did manage to stay on, however. She circled Grimm when they got to the other side, looking down into her choice of lances again, with no squire for her on this side, rather ignoring the cheer of the crowd.

Before too many other Knights had moved off to parade to the other end kf the arena, he was led forward. He got to be looked at before the jousting started, how fun. None of the other knights seemed to be making any line so he just went at his own speed, which was Crow's as completely Crows idea because he started out galloping. Though he did manage to reel his horse back into a far more collected canter. He leaned back, hoping Crow would get the message to calm down more. He was now at the head of the group and was the first in line on the other side. He sat back, watching the rounds eagerly. His interest was slightly piqued as the knight with the dark armor was called out. He knew that name, he'd wondered why that one seemed so familiar. He'd never jousted this knight before. Really though he wasn't sure if he wanted to, he may be quite skilled but to him- Kaden was quite daunting. He did lean forward a little, wishing he could get a better view of it all. He smiled slightly, definitely rooting for the dark knight as he came unscathed to his side of the arena.

The temptation to have her whip her helmet off and let her hair down is so bad right now))

She took another medium lance, spinning Grimm around just in time for the flag. She held him back, letting him take the track slower as he fought her for more speed before submitting. This thoroughly confused her opponent, who was halfway down the length by the time she was a quarter down. At that point, she sped him up and dropped her lance, hitting him squarely in the stomach, her lance shattering on impact. She wasn't so lucky with her opponents aim, though, and it shattered against the side of her helmet. She leaned right from the impact, dropping her lance stub and managing to right herself. She shook her head rapidly, spinning Grimm around, dimly aware of the penalty deduction for her opponent. She blinked a few times, huffing. Dimly aware of the collective hiss from the crowd. No one bothered to pause or check if she was fine. That wasn't how jousting worked. She leaned forward and shook her head hapidly, clearing the fogginess from her mind and snatching a heavy lance from her squire, just in time for the flag. She pulled the same thing, keeping Grimm slow until her opponent got closer. With that, she lowered her lance and ushered Grimm forward, drilling the other knight as hard as she could in the stomach, still managing to shatter the heavy thing she could barely hold up. Her opponent missed wildly for a reason her brain didnt compute, flailing as he fell from his horse. She threw her lance stub down and skidded Grimm to a stop on the other side. It wasn't great, getting battered in the head with a medium lance, especially through her light armor. She manahed to drop from Grimm quickly, her squire running over to assist. She was in the midst of most of the conpetitors from the other side (Ali's side). She held out two fingers to the boy in a pause morion as he reached to help her with her helmet. She held her hand out flat to him and shook her head, no. The boy gave her a concerned look but walked off just the same. She gave a quiet growling noise as she felt the dent made in her armor, leaping quickly back on Grimm.

The short answer for what Ali was feeling was probably one word, and that word would be shooketh. Hits to the helmet always hurt unbelievably bad. Luckily for him he hadn't gotten that many. He narrowed his eyes as she turned and the flag dropped. Surprised he was still on and going. He watched eagerly as he threw the man of his horse. He and several other knights were cheering as Kaden made it back to Ali's side. His hidden eyebrows raised as he spotted the dent. He was honestly most impressed with the fact that he got back on. And it appeared he intended to go for a round two. He wasn't called for a few more jousts but then Felix Rider was introduced, the crowd cheered but he was definitely not as popular as the dark knight, he spun Crow around as he chose a large lance. Unlike usual he didn't want to mess around for his first round. The flag dropped quickly. He barely nudged Crow, he started it off eventfully and reared up before half leaping to start out, he did not slow his horse down. He hadn't studied his opponent at all but at the time that didn't particularly change anything since he still managed to ram his lance into the right side of the stocky man in front of him. Breaking the lance as it slammed into the man and cracked his armor. The other knight's lance missed entirely. He threw the lance down and pulled in Crow's head. As he got himself situated, a squire came running up to the middle area, and a flag was placed over something. A white flag. Ah, damn. He sighed. Understandable though. He nudged Crow to go back across. Passing by the man and exchanging nods. Soon enough Ali was back in line on his side.

She turned to the knights cheering for her and gave them a curt, thankful nid for their support

But DAMN did that hurt like hell. She ended up only paying attention ling enough to catch one round, Felix something. She took note that it was one of those had cheered for her and smiled to herself. She watched him come back quietly, giving him a barely perceptible nod of approval as he passed.
