Ripp felt dizzy, closing his eyes a moment just to slide away into darkness. What felt like seconds later he let out a small groan, slowly opening his eyes to see a girl bent over his, frantically dialing someone. +Oh crap- did I pass out? I can't go to a hospital!+ He thought, jolting upright and immediately regretting it. His shoulder ACHED. "Wait before- you call an ambulance- I'll be fine.. the wound just needs some patching. I can't... afford it." Ripp quickly thought something up, still feeling dizzy. He clambered halfway to his feet and sat back down on the rock, wincing in pain.

(Afford it? Isn't this England?)

Izzy jumped when the boy spoke. "Are you okay? You're bleeding a lot but I do have an emergency first-aid kit at my house... If you're so sure do you think you can make it over there?" She brushed a few strands of hair out of her face, peering at the boy. His hair was wet as if he had been swimming...but what was so dangerous in the lake that it gave him an injury like that? She held out her hand for him to grab.

Rover yapped and the golden Labrador licked the boy's face. "Stop, Rover!" He whined but returned to Izzy's side.

Riptide ran his hand through his hair, squeezing a little water out of it. "I'm... not SUPER okay, but I'm like really-average- okay." He answered slowly with a small snort. "I can make it there. Thanks for the help." Ripp commented, taking in a slow breath before standing up. He was a little dizzy, and it would've been better in Kelpie form, but he couldn't change now. He smiled a little as the dog came up, a small chuckle escaping. "It's fine.. I like dogs." He said. "Lead the way..." Ripp held his arm so that his shoulder didn't move. He hoped this girl didn't get suspicious about the wound- it was unsual. Plus he looked like he had been swimming, which was technically true.

Izzy helped him up, a little suspicious of the wound. After all, how did it happen if he had been swimming? In the end, she decided to think about it later. "I'm Isabella, by the way, but you can call me Izzy, everyone does. What were you doing out here?"

When they reached her house, she hurried to unlock the front door. Izzy pointed to the kitchen where Rover was already laying in his basket. "Take a seat. I'm just getting the bandages from upstairs."

Riptide could tell this girl hadn't looked past it. Well, of course she hadn't- stuff never worked out in his favor. How was he going to explain a TEETH shaped bite on his shoulder? "Blessing to meet you, Izzy, really. I'm..." He trailed off when he realized his name was WEIRD. "John. John Carter." He quickly answered, wincing as he hoped that gap hadn't been a little too long. Ripp hurriedly tried to simulate a somewhat believable story through the throbbing of the wound on his shoulder. He was USUALLY smart-ish, but he couldn't REALLY think through the pain... and... well... if he had to be honest... Izzy was REALLY pretty. And she helped him without a second thought. Or.. without a fourth thought. Anyway. "I was walking at the water's edge when I slipped on some wet mossy rocks. I slipped and hit my head. The wet hair was because I was swimming earlier, but I had gotten out a few minutes before my walk." Ripp tried to explain, wondering if that was even the least bit believable. Saying he had gotten bitten by a werewolf probably would've been more believable. Kelpie's were USUALLY supposed to be in Scotland, and he wasn't TOO far away, but Scottish people and British(English? I'm sorry I don't know what to call them/you -le sob- forgive me for my offensive behavior) people had very different religions/folklore/he didn't really know. THE POINT WAS, he was 99 percent sure she wouldn't believe him. And also that he was Scottish/Irish! That was a problem too! He couldn't have two accents, although he could do them both, his main was Scottish, but this was ENGLAND. +AH!+ Ripp was now freaking out internally. "Okay... thanks again..." He came back to earth when Izzy spoke, sitting down uncomfortably in the chair.

Izzy noticed his accent was nothing like hers. Then again, she did have a slight Spanish sound to her voice. But John didn't sound like her British friends. "Did you move from somewhere else? Half my family are Spanish and they have different accents too." Izzy took out a wipe from the first-aid kit (I have no idea how this works but okay) and gently cleaned the wound. "Ouch, that must have hurt," she commented when John explained that he hit his head on a rock. But that didn't explain why his SHOULDER was bleeding but not his HEAD. Izzy frowned as she looked closer at the wound. Teeth marks? Something was definitely wrong with this John Carter guy. Did he have bad memory and was making up some story? Izzy bit her tongue, careful not to say anything offensive. Who knew how he actually got hurt? This guy could be dangerous...and, of course, she'd just let him into her house. Then she realised something. "I never mentioned anything about wet hair," she muttered under her breath, so quiet that John probably didn't hear her. Why mention wet hair for no reason?

Izzy took the bandages and began wrapping them around his shoulder, thinking carefully. Too many questions and not enough answers. "How come your clothes aren't wet?" This time she spoke out loud.

Riptide winced again, though not at the pain. Izzy was too smart to be around him. But.. she was.. helping him. But he needed to leave! "Oh- yes, I moved from Scotland." He answered, tensing a little as he realized he talked about his head instead of his shoulder. He could tell she was concerned about the teeth marks. Everything was collapsing. Ripp swallowed down a lump of worry, flinching a little as she dabbed at the wound. As Izzy muttered to herself and asked a question, he knew she caught on. "I... they..." He sighed. "Look, I should leave. I'm sorry, and thanks for helping." Ripp said quietly, standing up and backing up towards the door.

Izzy wanted to tell him to stay, he was hurt! At the same time, he was also a complete stranger!

After a second or two, she decided to still help John. "Wait!" She paused, thinking carefully. This was definitely not her smartest idea. "Um..Well, you're hurt so maybe you should stay the night? The nearest houses are across the lake..." She trailed off. Izzy bit her tongue, staring at her shoes. WHY WAS SHE GIVING HIM A REASON TO STAY? Even after she had literally just caught him for LYING to her face! Izzy sighed. "Or I could call your family?" she suggested. Way better than him staying the night.
