Celeste Harlow - Celeste made her way up to her room, after having paid and all. She had been able to get a room, and a boy to sleep with for a very reasonable price, if she did say so herself. As she entered, the room was quite dusty and dank, it surely was no palace, but it would serve its purpose for tonight, as Celeste only had to stay one night. Shutting the door behind her, she walked over to one of the bedside tables and proceeded to take off her jewelry, starting with her bracelet and then her necklace. Her pin-straight, bubblegum pink hair flowed down her back, out of its french twist style, as the pin that was holding her hair up, was now still thoroughly lodged in her victims neck. She was still wearing her little black strapless minidress, and her 5 inch heels, but those where next to go. Celeste was taking out her earrings as the boy she ordered arrived. Turning around to see the boy she realized she had gotten her server. Hm, Well he wasn't ugly, and his body was quite nice too, he'd work for tonight. Though the boy still smelled a bit off to her, but it was late, maybe she was just imagining it or something. "Hello, your the boy who's fucking me tonight, right?" she asked evenly, clarifying.

Sage felt his eyebrows creep upwards slightly in response to the girls rather...crude comment. Well, it could be worse he supposed. At least she wasn't some old creep. So he gave her a shrug in response, cocking his head slightly and humming as if in thought. "I think it's more like you fucking me," he noted in what he hoped sounded like a bit of amusement. "But yes, that'd be me," he added after a moment, glancing around the room. The girl didn't seem like the type to be mean about this or anything...she just seemed to want the pleasure of getting laid, and then she'd be on her way. It was a better type of customer than some of the other woman staying that night, so he supposed he should count himself lucky. But...he just didn't feel lucky having to do this sort of work. He didn't have much of a choice in the matter though, so he eventually had moved a bit further into the room, hands in his pockets as he put on the sort of attitude the other workers used. There were a few that quite enjoyed this line of work, so he generally just copied them. It worked from what he could see anyway.

Celeste Harlow - Celeste pulled her rings off of her long delicate fingers, setting them down on the bedside table along with her other jewelry. She could sense that this boy didn't actually want this. He did a good job at hiding it, but Celeste could read anyone, even the most sealed off person, she could tell what they where actually feeling and thinking. Pulling her hair over her shoulder, she turned back to the boy, separating her hair and starting to make a long fishtail braid in her hair. "Hm.. you don't want this, do you?" she questioned looking down at her hair, before her half-lidded liquid gold eyes flicked up to meet his. Celeste still had no reason to be rude or forceful upon this boy. He already looked a bit tired and sickly, underfed and overworked. She wasn't going to force him to do anything he didn't want to do, she didn't have to get laid tonight. Celeste could very well just go to a different tavern tomorrow and get it done by someone who actually wanted it and had the energy for it. She could tell underneath all of the exhaustion and the mask, this boy was only doing this job for the money. Surely this boy didn't seem the type to be a person to do it for himself, and this place obviously didn't pay much, so there had to be someone he had to provide for, whether it was his parents, friends, siblings or maybe even a wife and child and this job was his last resort.

Sage was admittedly rather surprised by the girls comment, and he halted in the middle of the room from where he was wandering lazily towards her. "Am I really that bad at this," he sort of asked with a chuckle, somewhat shocked that she'd picked up on his feelings. Of course, he could smell the girl, and she wasn't...normal. She wasn't normal at all. But he couldn't put finger on how or why. He supposed it didn't matter....he was too tired to care much about what she said or did. And if she decided she didn't want him in bed with her, no matter what the reason was, he couldn't help but he a little bit grateful to her. Of course, he did wonder how she could tell what he was really thinking, but then again she didn't seem drunk. That may be the only reason most people didn't notice anything...they were pretty out of it by the time he'd gotten to their room. "everyone else is taken though, so if you want someone I'm the only one available," he noted, plopping down into the chair that was settled in the room with a grunt.

( Sry its short again ) Celeste Harlow - "Nah, Its fine, I'll just go to a different tavern tomorrow" she said simply, finishing her long braid that extended all the way down to her hip. She then leaned down and unbuckled the small clips on her heels, slipping them off and setting her feet now flat on the ground. The boys smell still smelled off to her. Still not human, but with a hint of human... what was he? This wasn't any ordinary boy, that was quite obvious as well. Plopping down on the bed, she laid back and pulled out her nail file and started to file down her pointed and sharp black painted nails, shaping them to make them sharper. "If you don't like this kind of work, why do you do it?" she questioned evenly, keeping her eyes on her nails.

(no worries lol) Sage nodded slowly in response to her comments, admittedly rather relieved when she didn't seem upset by the fact that he wasn't really wanting to sleep with her. Though, at her comment he sort of just huffed out a sort of breath, sinking into the chair since it was honestly quite comfortable and he was rather glad to just be sitting down for a few minutes. "Gotta work somehow," he noted. "Don't work you don't eat," he added with a shrug. "And personally I'd rather my whole family not starve to death," he mused.

Celeste Harlow - Celestes brows furrowed hearing his respsonse. "Family?" she questioned, her eyes flicking over to the boy, her expression confused. This boy couldn't be more than 20, surely he didn't have a child, he must be talking about his parents or something. But why would he be providing for his parents? "What are you, 20?" she questioned, now genuinely intrigued by the boy. Celeste wasn't really raised in the world, or at least she didn't remember if she was or not, but she asumed she wasn't. Especially as the first thing she remembered was showing up in front of the Empress in a hospital gown. Though she didn't grow up in this world, and had to learn about the world on her own, she knew normal people didn't have families at 20 and under.

Sage grunted with a nod in response to her comment. "Nineteen," he sighed. "Dad married me off two years ago," he noted. "Something about a handsome dowry or something," he grumbled. "I have a daughter," he added with a shrug, sort of sinking lower into his chair. He wasn't sure why he was telling her this....it was rather a private topic, but for whatever reason he figured she had no intention of hurting him, or his family. Besides, it wasn't like he'd given her exact information."how about you," he asked with a cocked head. Edited at August 18, 2024 08:39 PM by NightClan

Celeste Harlow - Jeez, having a baby and a wife at 19, that was just too much. But getting married at 17, woah, that was a lot. Celeste looked away, and back at her nails, continuing to sharpen them. "I don't know." she said honestly. Truthfully she had no clue where she came from, what her bloodline looked like, who her parents where, why she was so much more powerful than the other vampires, if she had any siblings, or how she got to the empress. No one knew. Celeste had thought about trying to find her parents and figure out where she came from, but she always got too busy with her work. The Empress sure did keep her busy, always giving her task after task. I guess it made sense, she was the strongest of her assasins.

Sage cocked his head slightly in response to her comment. "You don't know," he asked, a bit surprised at it. Then again, it seemed they'd both surprised each other. "Well as much as I'd like to say I'm older than you, you look like you're around twenty," he mused, scanning her quickly. "though I suppose you could be a bit older than that. Maybe up to twenty three or so," he thought out loud with a slightly cocked head. It was a habit he'd always had, thanks to the wolf in him....when he was thinking, or curious, or something of that nature, he'd cock his head, much like a dog would. Though, after a moment of silence he glanced back at the door and sighed. "You don't mind if I just sleep in the corner or something, do you," he asked, admittedly rather hesitantly. "I only get paid if I stay all night, and if you don't want me in bed, I'll just...stay in the corner or whatever," he added quickly. It wasn't much....but even a few bucks was something. And it meant he could sleep rather than clean for a third night in a row. He really did wonder how he did it sometimes. It was honestly probably just pure spite at this point, he could admit that.
