Rowan was calmly carving at a piece of wood, its features looking draconic in nature as he carved small details in the wood. He wasn't one to do this often, yet he found when he was stressed using a knife seemed ever so slowly to calm his temper. He hummed very quietly to himself as he continued to carve, just barely out of reach from his prisoner. 'how foolish,' Rowan mused internally, the man before him he thought was foolish, foolish to run straight into a clearly fucked up trap, straight into a faulty job. Foolish, foolish, foolish. The word kept repeating in Rowan's mind, If he was in the man's position he wouldn't be stupid like that, he would know that it was a trap right off the bat. But he wasn't the man before him. No, he followed the laws, he obeyed. He was nowhere like this man, right? He glanced up from his project when he heard the man's foot barely kick the walls ever so often when he paced. "Quiet down, sit down even," Rowan snarled from where he leaned against the wall, his icy pale blue eyes boring into Sage.

Sage threw a bored look in the direction of the new guard when he heard him speak up. The guy was new...smart enough to stay across the hall from him, and obviously easy to bug. He dismissed him quickly, not breaking stride. He did, however, make sure to clang the shackles that were connected to his wrists and neck against the stone wall loudly each time he neared one of the cell walls. Being locked up like this sucked....he was away from the outdoors, away from the adventure of a life alone and on the streets. Away from the wind that called him from place to place. The sunlight that made his olive skin shine and his golden eyes seem to glow. He could go out, have fun, get laid. Here, he couldn't do much....so he did whatever he could.

Rowan frowned. "Quit that!" He barked, approaching the bars just enough so he could slam his fist into them. As his knuckles hit the metal he barely even flinch, hardly even moved until he pulled back and went back to carving. "So how in the hell did you fall for that botched job pit squeak?" Rowan mused, his gaze being pulled back from his project to stare at Sage as if staring long enough, rude enough it would kill him. Unlike other guards the man's face was mostly hidden, except for the mask Sage hadn't seen before, only revealing the man's eyebrows and eyelids. His eyes were an icy pale blue, almost a mix of seafoam and icicles, they were enchanting in their own right but this man's enigmatic nature in itself was also intriguing. "If I were you I wouldn't have been so gullible, hardly trust any tips, hardly trust your sources," Rowan mused, leaning back against the wall as he finally pulled his gaze away after scanning the man before him one last time. 'foolish, stupid, botched,' Kept repeating in his mind before he quickly pulled his thoughts to something else.

Sage wrinkled his nose when the guard slammed his fist on the bars, continuing to pace. It was faster now, soley to annoy the guard. You wouldn't get anywhere with force, not with him. He'd give what you gave him. The guards hadn't figured that one out yet...if they'd just be decent human beings he'd be fine....he'd escape soon enough anyway. He was simply biding his time. "What makes you think I'm caught," he noted quietly in a cold tone after a moment, moving to lean his forearms on the bars on his door, a smirk tugging at his lips. "What makes you think you didn't do the hard part of getting me in here, at the heart of your operation, without anyone worrying about me being here?" He was completely serious about it too....that was exactly what he'd done. He knew no one would believe him though.

Rowan frowned at him under the balaclava, his eyes piercing through him for a moment before yet again he went back to carving. "Well, you're behind bars, we made sure to blindfold you coming in here, and you have me watching over you. Your definitely caught, pit squeak," Rowan mused, ignoring how he was trying to piss him off. "I could tighten that chain, but you know, I'll let you think you have a lick of freedom," He hummed as he carved spikes into the dragon carving's neck.

Sage chuckled softly in response to the man's comments. The man was foolish to underestimate him....he had no idea who he was. Sure, the guy was probably twice as big as he was, but that didn't mean he couldn't hold his own in a fight. And right now, this man was just making himself a target. "I think you're just too lazy to get up," he snorted in response to uis comment about tightening the chains, moving back to flop onto the blanket in the corner that was serving as his bed, bored nowbthat the new guard wasnt very...entertaining. All he did was grumble out empty threats and carve that stupid ...whatever it was.

Rowan wasn't very interested in Sage anymore, sure he did underestimate the scrawny man just a lick but that wasn't to bad "I'd prefer you hold your tongue," Rowan hissed at the man. "I am for one, am not lazy!" He grumbled as he continued to carve the dragon. He winced as the knife bounced across the wood, hitting his finger and breaking skin. He stared at the crimson liquid as it dribbled down the pad of his fingertip and onto the stone floor, seeping through the cracks of the floor, he scowled as he wiped the wound on the dragons talons, creating a bloody claws effect on the art work.

Sage threw the man a bored gaze when he snapped at him, snorting softly. "What're you gonna do to me if I don't," he muttered, venom coming through in his voice. He smirked slightly when he cut himself, though sort of just moved to state at the ceiling, bored. He always was one for adventure....being cooped up in here like an animal or something wasn't his ideal place. He hated it. But he also knew he could gain a lot of information on them here. So he'd hold on, for now, until he could make his move.

Rowan huffed, ignoring him as he continued to carve the dragon, eventually putting both the knife and his project in his bag. He went back to 'guarding' the man. He rested his palm on the hilt of the sheathed sword on his left hip lazily. He momentarily closed his eyes, Rowan as well preferred the out doors, but he didn't mind his job anyway.

Sage lay around for a while longer before he moved to get off the bed again, restarting the pacing. Apparently important prisoners didn't get the hour to go outside and do things like regular prisoners did, because he was in this damn cell 24/7. He couldn't even piss without the guard standing there, which was fucking annoying. The guard didn't seem all that interested though, so at least there was that. Except he couldny really taunt him, which was the only fun he ever got.
