Hmm, I'm not sure. Maybe part of the castle got destroyed so they have to go to a vacation home or something? We could have the bed be smaller and prompt some of the romance between them a bit too if you'd like lol

Ella dragged her feet pretty much the whole walk back from the big hall where her meeting has taken place, dreading informing Sage of the news. She was shaking slightly- not because she was cold due to the weather outside, but because she had a slight scare. Part of the castle had been so badly destroyed that they were set to move to a vacation home for a while, while it was rebuilt. The only problem seemed to be, they didn't want Sage to go with her, apparently they were planning on just sticking him in a different part of the castle. Underground maybe? It had taken her much longer than she planned to beg for him to come with her, and eventually, they had given way. She crept through the door and shut it quietly behind her, smiling as she caught Sages eye. "Hey. Sorry I took so long" she said softly, not making an attempt to move away from the door just yet.

Sage and sort of just been laying around, though he looked over at her when he heard her come in. He waved her apology off. "Eh, I slept through most of it," he admitted with a slight chuckle. Then, he cocked his head slightly. "what's wrong," he asked, starting to get a bit nervous. She wasn't usually nervous or upset like this ...and he had to admit, it did scare him a little bit. Or....a lot. He had no idea what was going on, and he couldn't exactly do much even if he wanted to.

Ella shook her head, eventually pulling herself away from the door and settling on the bed. "Nothings wrong, i'm fine." She smiled, looking Sage in the eye. "It's not exactly bad news..just..i dunno. We have to leave the castle" She said bluntly, her gaze tearing from his to outside the window, out towards where the horses were kept. She didn't know why this was affecting her so much? After all it wouldn't be forever, plus it would definitely be safer at the house they were being moved to. But it also seemed more dangerous in a way. Sure, there would be a lot of guards but they wouldn't be able to stay 24/7, and then what? "Not for too long hopefully. I had to beg them to let you come though. Part of the castles too badly destroyed to stay here" she said, her words solemn.

Sage cocked his head slightly when she moved to come onto the bed and nodded with a sigh, taking a moment to process her words before shrugging. "well...it could be worse," he hummed. Then he looked at her with surprise and admittedly a bit of awe. "You managed to convince them to let me come with," he repeated, shaking his head and chuckling slightly. "you must be better at arguing than I have you credit for," he mused lightly, sort of hoping to use it as a bit of joke to lighten the mood. "When are we leaving," he asked curiously. The mice would be hard on him..he knew that. A fresh wound in a wagon wasn't fun. But he did want to stay with her.

Ella smiled at Sages small joke, settling herself down on the edge of the bed. "Well I didn't want you to be left here, i'd much rather you came" she replied, her tone low though it had picked up a little seeing as he didn't find the news too bad. "Tomorrow morning. I think pretty early so you'll have to be prepared for them to just be banging on the doors and shouting unnecessarily" she smiled, looking Sage in the eye. "Are you sure you're going to be okay coming with me? What with the wound and everything" she asked, her tone immediately back to slightly sad, with a hint of caution.

Sage felt admittedly a bit relieved when she smiled at his joke and seemed to relax. He hummed in response to her comment and bobbed his head up and down slightly. "well good for you, I'd rather tag along than lay here in bed all day," he noted lightly before wrinkling his nose. "My own alarm clock. Always wanted one of those," he grumbled in a rather sarcastic manner when she mentioned that the guards would most likely wake them. He cocked his head slightly at her last comment, and took a beep breath before shrugging. "It'll hurt like hell...but it already hurts like that," he grunted, eyes crinkling slightly as he clenched his jaw, rather determined to stay with her. "I'll manage," he said, reaching over to pat her hand gently before yawning. "Why don't you get ready for bed? Long day tomorrow," he pointed out after a few moment of silence. Rest would do them both well.
