Sage felt the tension in his shoulders relax as the Empress turned to go. Not completely, not yet...but they were leaving. He kept a wary eye on them until the turned the corner of the hallway, and were out of sight. He then turned his eyes to celeste, who had closed the door. He let out a sigh of relief once the door was closed and he could hear the vampires leaving the hotel's property, all the tension draining from his body. He leaned into the girl's hug, wrapping his arms around her tightly. "You're alright," he murmured, knowing she hadn't been hurt physically but...well, he was still worried. He figured that was acceptable after all of....whatever had happened the past few days. When she nodded, claiming she was fine, he sighed again, pulling back to give her a exhausted grin. "Then can we go to bed," he asked. "I feel like hell," he added with a sort of amused huff. She agreed readily, of course, as he knew she would, so he settled Liz down in the chair, but not before tugging it over to stand next to their bed. The vampires were gone for good, he knew that, but...he'd learned that it was better to be safe than sorry a long time ago. Living on the streets taught you that one pretty quickly. Once the baby was settled and had drifted off, Sage slid into the bed, collapsing next to Celest happily. They'd be alright. Whatever happened now...they'd get through it together. And he had to admit he was rather excited about it. He did recall the Empress's words....he wasn't sure who this Melissa was, and if she was his mother, then that could prove to be an issue. But he didn't put much thought into it....he just wanted to sleep. For a long time. As in....probably past noon tomorrow. Whatever. He passed out pretty quickly after settling under the covers, exhausted far beyond reason by then.

Sage had smiled at Celeste when she told him she loved him, chuckling softly in response to her kiss. "I love you too," he hummed tiredly, wrapping his arms around her and snuggling in, relaxing and passing out pretty much right away. He was really tired, so once the adrenaline had worn off, he'd passed out quickly. He stayed that way too, out cold for a while. When he woke up around three or so, Celeste was already awake. She hadn't moved though, so as far as he was concerned, they did not have to get up. He sort of groaned when the light hit him, and he shifted to slide under the covers a bit more, the morning air rather chilly. He buried his face into Celeste's chest to hide from the sun, relaxing again with a soft huff of air as he settled back down, really still half asleep. Drifting in and out of that half awake half asleep stage, really.

Sage had sort of just grunted in response to her comment, not really awake enough to actually, you know...talk. He wasn't exactly sure what she'd said, but he could guess at it, and he figured it was just a greeting of some kind. So, he did his best to respond, though he was still pretty well out of it. He sort of just settled in again, a smile drifting across his face when she moved to run her fingers through his hair. It felt nice ...her nails against his scalp were soothing. He wasn't sure why he liked it so much ...maybe the wolf in him liked to be petted or whatever....but he didn't really mind or care. He liked it and that was the end of it. Especially since he wasn't exactly in the thinking mood at the moment. He stayed that was for a while before he sort of woke up enough to sigh and shift slightly, so he could mumbled a sort of hello to Celeste, though he kept his eyes closed. His voice was still crackly with sleep, and he was definitely going to continue to lay about for a while, but whatever. It was just so, so nice to be able to rest, and then relax as he woke up. He wasn't cold, or wet, or hungry, and Liz was perfectly healthy and happy and safe...and he had Celeste there at his side. He really couldn't ask for anything better.

Sage sort of hummed happily when he felt the girl hook her leg around him, and he'd moved to shuffle in closer to her, mostly still groggy but knowing he was comfortable where he was, and safe. And he knew he didn't want to leave her side, not ever. His brain wasn't quite working yet, but he knew that for certain. There was no arguing with it. At her comment, he sort of took a deep breath and opened his eyes, squinting up at her before grunting. "My brains not awake enough for me to be hungry yet," he sort of grumbled, voice crackly with sleep. He wasn't grumbling for any reason...he just really, really wasn't a morning person. He got somewhat crabby..... probably because as a werewolf he liked the night, and when the moon was out he was strongest. But either way, it took him a while to wake up in the morning.

Sage sort of huffed out a breath of protest towards her comment, though of course he knew she was right. It wasn't like he was angry or annoyed or anything...he'd just never admit she was right. At least, about that. There were probably plenty of things she'd be right about hed admit later on. She was certainly right for them to stick together, he thought. He sort of laid around for a while longer, a smile drifting on his face when she squeezed him. He'd let out a sort of hum in response, just sort of relaxing for a while after that. Soon enough though, as he woke up he became more...active, of that was the right word. He was definitely still slightly groggy, but he moved to stretch and move to look up at her happily. "What were you doing," he asked, moving to peer at the phone she'd had. He noticed the houses there, and he chuckled softly. "I'll need land," he noted. "I have to hunt, and....be outdoors, in that environment." After a slight hesitation, he let out a slight breath. "and it cant be too close to a town. I don't want to hurt anyone. And a werewolf hide is something people strive for. I can't get caught by anyone during a full moon," he added with a shake of his head. "somewhere big enough I can morph inside and not destroy the place every month might be helpful too," he admitted with a sort of chuckle after a moment. "Hardwood floors. I'll make a mess. I'll bleed." He wrinkled his nose. "Maybe a concrete cell would work best," he muttered. "can't get out and cause chaos that way." He couldn't hurt anyone. "And no silver," he added after a moment. "It'll burn me, at best," he grumbled. Then he gave her a sheepish grin. "sorry, that's a lot of things to add on all of a sudden," he mused. "But that's all I care about....the rest is up to you, yeah?" He didn't care what it looked like. He'd probably spend most of his day outside in the woods either way. He did love to hunt...he'd never gotten much of a chance before. He was always busy, and no prey went anywhere near the tavern . But now ....maybe he could learn more about his powers. Use them a bit more. Figure out how to do things.
