Rose rolled her eyes and got up, walking out of the bedroom so she wouldn't say things she'd regret. She'd left her phone open and unlocked, but wasn't worried about it. If Caden found something suspicious, he'd probably just drink the thought away

Caden sighed,setting his phone down and rubbing his temples.He stood leaning over the balcony to where she could here him. "Did I fuck up or nah?" He asks,waiting

Rose sighed. "It's not your fault i'm upset." She said, thinking Not entirely... "I shouldn't have gotten upset over nothing. I've just really missed the old Caden who was carefree and happy. So much, that I feel like you'll never go back to that."

"Man,I miss him,too." He said quietly,retreating back into his study downstairs by taking the elevator to avoid farther conversation.He walked into his study,leaving the door cracked.Dust filtered through the air,the sun from the windows catching it.Gale went and stood infront of the window,feeling as he was when they first started dating,happy and carefree.Reality crashed down,though,and he sighed,mind crushing again.With a sigh he went and sat at his desk,holding his head in his hands.

Rose didn't want to upset him, so she walked upstairs and left him alone. She thought about him kissing her after both their games every week. She remembered the way he smiled at school and when he saw his friends. She remebered him falling asleep, holding her, with a smile. She sighed shakily as a tear rolled down her cheek

Caden noticed the sun lowering,him sighing and turning everything off.He treaded back upstairs,grabbing his clothes to shower.He showered,thinking the entire time about life.After Caden's shower,he went and layed in bed,scrolling through tiktoks again with his hood up.He was in a hoodie and sweats,not caring,really.

Rose hesitated, not moving at all as he took a shower and climbed into bed. She laid down next to him. Not touching him, but facing him. "I still love you" She murmured, closing her eyes

Caden put his phone up,facing Rose. "I love you to,babe." He said,reaching his hand out and brushing a lock of hair from her face.

Rose slowly relaxed into his touch, her love prominent in her reaction to his gesture

He slid his hand down to her cheek,moving his thumb across it as he softly smiled,feeling as he once had
