Celeste sniffled, slowly beginning to calm down.

Sage patted her back as she stopped crying. "Ok," he asked softly

Celeste just clung on. She shook her head. No of course she wasn't okay.

Sage knew she wasn't ok, but he was sort of just asking if she felt any better. He wasn't sure what the answer was, but he just tightened his hold on her, not really sure how to help. He hated seeing her like this....but he didn't know what to do.

Celeste buried herself into his chest, clinging on.

Sage knew she just wanted to sit there and not talk, so he kept his mouth shut. He honestly wasn't sure what to say anyway.

Celeste just curled into him, relaxing into him.

Sage smiled when she relaxed against him, running his fingers through her hair gently.

Celeste eventually fell asleep.

When she fell asleep, he smiled softly and moved to slide her down, pulling the blankets over her and then turned the lights off and slid out to check on the kids, letting her rest
