"No. But that's better." Temperance shrugged, watching him in a rather unamused manner. "I don't wanna give him the satisfaction of thinking I report to him. If he thinks I'm dead, all the better. I'd love for him to feel the guilt he should." She huffed, running her fingers through her hair quietly. "Mmmm. You go do that, Zeph. I'm gonna go make myself look less like a drunk, blind hag." She nodded, giving him a pat on the back and walking back to her cabin, trying to look friendly enough.

Zephyr sighed slightly, shutting his mouth. He obviously wasn't helping. "Okay then." He answered quietly, watching her walk away before not going near Chiron and instead disappearing to his cabin. Back in the familiar, cool area, he relaxed slightly, sitting on the stiff bed and staring at the skull on the wall. It was his temper skull. It had marks all over it from being thrown against the floor and smashed with hammers and stabbed with knives, but it was unbreakable- one of two gifts he had ever gotten from his father. Funny that Hades somehow knew he'd need a temper tantrum friend. He cracked a small smile before collapsing into the bed and staring at the ceiling.

Temperance settled herself on her unfamiliar bed and gave a small sigh, pulling her silver bracelet from her wrist and watching it expand into her cloudy bow. She withdrew a dagger from her boot and curled up on her bed, carving delicate patterns into the material while she waited for dinner to start. Where she would, probably, be officially introduced to Camp. And either ridiculed, shoved off, forced to be an outcast- or solidly in the group of popularity.

She wasn't sure which was worse, honestly.

Zephyr reached behind his neck and unclasped the thin chain, bringing it around to look at it. This had been the other *gift* from his father. It was just a simple chain, made of small, delicate bones, although they never seemed to break, and had a small snake skull on the end with long fangs- he had guessed a Cottonmouth. He had figured out only a couple years ago that it did mean something, and actually, it was the reason he had always been so loyal to Hades. The bone chain enhanced his powers to bring up three different animals- Opal, Rex, and unlimited snakes. Snakes had always been his favorite animal. When he had found out that the chain did that he was confused at first, but he finally figured out the meaning. Hades couldn't be with him, so he had given Zeph this to have reliable friends that would always be there right below his fingertips.

Temperance only paused her angsty whittling when a knock came on her door. She tilted her head and stood, praying that it wasn't Chiron as she put her bow back on in the form of her bracelet. She opened her cabin door and stared at none other than Luke, son of Hermes, grinning at her in a charmingly abashed way. Both out of relief and slight surprise, she returned the easy smile. "Hey, Luke. What's up?" She asked lightly, stepping out and closing her door behind her to talk with him. He stayed where he was, bringing them closer than She had thought.

He shrugged and set his hands in his pockets, grinning down at her to reveal dimples. Truly, enough to give any girl butterflies- and while Temperance wasn't entirely human, she was, indeed, a girl. "This is gonna sound weird, but I saw you got back from your quest, and I figured I would congratulate you. Zephyr, too, but he seems less like he likes visitors. I was gonna invite you for a little tour around the camp, and maybe go tell Chiron you're not dead so he can do his little celebration for y'all." He offered politely, leaning back against one of the white, greek pillars that supported the overhang of the Zeus cabin. "But you're probably still tired, so, I don't wanna force your hand. But, still, the offer stands." He shrugged, rubbing at the back of his neck.

Zephyr's eyes has glazed over just slightly as he stared at the wall, but he finally whispered, "Hades, if you can hear me.. I'll give you another chance, but this is me being hopeful. Don't make me regret it." He knew the words were quite bold, but unlike Zeus and Posideon, Hades wasn't into smiting anyone he didn't like. Zephyr sighed and stood up, clipping the chain around his neck again and heading towards the door when he felt a small tingle. He glanced down to see the snake skull glowing. It was enough. "Thank you." He mumbled before exiting the cabin, feeling a little better about his sorry life. Against his brains will, his heart told his feet to go over to Tempe's cabin and check on her- that concussion had been BAD- but as he neared he saw her, smiling like that, and staring at Luke. His stomach immediately wrenched in a way he didn't want it to, and a couple feeling broiled in his mind and heart. Anger. Irritation. A bit of.. sadness? Jealously? Offff course. Stupid emotions. Feeling much less in control of his life now and more beaten down, Zeph veered away and disappeared into the woods, stuffing his hands in his pockets as he headed towards the darkest places.

As tempting as the offer was, to go with a boy who was giving her attention and the promise of friendship, she hesitated. She almost scolded herself for it, unsure why she felt guilty about accepting the offer without Zephyr nearby. She glanced toward his cabin, only to see his back to her as he stormed off. She stood straighter and offered Luke a quick, apologetic smile. "Sorry. Let me get Zeph, and maybe we can try then? I think he could use the company. If not, I'll see you around, Luke." She said, giving him a light pat on the shoulder as she ran off after Zephyr.

Luke looked utterly surprised as she jogged away from him, quite unaccustomed to people (girls, specifically) turning him down. With a slightly upset hum, he turned and walked off. "Yeah. Raincheck." He muttered.

Zephyr was still stalking into the forest, going to the most shadowy parts. He crouched down at a gnarled tree root, waiting for a moment before a long, thick Bull Snake emerged, immediately crawling onto his arm. "Hey Loki." He whispered, his head snapping up as he heard a stick Crack. The snake hissed a little as Zephyr turned to the noise, seeing Temperence and half relaxing half sighing. "Oh. Just you." He turned back to Loki. "What do you need?" He asked quietly, glancing at Tempe. Meanwhile the snake had slithered onto his shoulders and was staring at Tempe through slitted green eyes.

Temperance made her way through the woods after Zephyr on light feet, pausing only when she heard a hissing noise. She offered Zephyr a light smile and a wave, moving cautiously toward him and settling a foot away from his side. "Don't sound so excited to see me." She huffed, watching the snake curiously. If she wasn't cautious of a bite, she might've reached out to touch it.

"I don't need anything. I was just wondering why you skulked off into the forest." She shrugged, tilting her head at him with slight concern. "Luke invited us for a little celebration for completing our quest. And, also a tour, since I don't know my way around. I figured it would be fun to go to." She shrugged.

Zephyr snorted slightly. "Okay. Oh... it's just you..." He put on the most sad depressed tone ever, sighing heavily, then chuckling. "I can sound even LESS excited to see you, so take what you can get." He smiled faintly before focusing on her next words. And keeping an eye on Loki. The snake stared at Tempe, motionless, before slowly moving towards her and flicking its tongue out. "This is Loki. He won't bite, I promise- he's the most chill snake in the entire universe." Zeph commented, then tilted his head. "Oh... wellll.." He was glad he was saved from answering that when she continued. "Oh. Right. Because a celebration with a bunch of other individuals that will silently and loudly judge us sounds delightful! And I could give you a tour." He huffed slightly before seemingly trying to reconsider. Mostly because he was a little touched that she hadn't completely forgotten about him now that they didn't have to do stuff together anymore. "Okay. Okay okay. I'll come and I won't complain too terribly much. Sadly I can't bring Loki because 3/4ths of the kids at camp are deathly afraid of snakes and half the kids at camp are deathly afraid of me, so those two pit together might give em heart attacks." He snorted slightly before putting his arm on the ground, a gesture to have Loki get off. He could've sworn the snake glared at him before slithering off, booping Tempe's arm with his nose, then disappearing. "He likes you." Zephyr chuckled.
