Sage grunted with a nod, and then offered her a smile. "Well, as long as we're together, and I don't need to pay the orphanage any more....we should just pool the money we have with us," he noted. "Partners, if you think you could handle that," he added, the last bit a bit of a joke, though there was soem truth behind it. He wasn't sure she liked him enough to act like they were equals, though she'd been nice so far. |

"Eh, if we ever run out and need more that's when I'll ask him, if we have enough then we'll stay far away from here." She said, smiling back.Elara chuckled slightly when he said 'partners' but, she didn't complain. |

Sage grunted and shrugged. "I mean...stealing is also a thing," he pointed out. Maybe he wasn't the best influence, but he just didn't care. "Well get Liz early tomorrow and then be gone," he promised lightly, admittedly excited to get moving again. |

"It's not just a thing, it's a needed thing.Without it, I doubt we'd survive."
She mused, slightly joking. "Sounds good to me, get her, and then get the hell out of here." Elara said, adding a tone to the last words. |

Sage gave her a rather mischevious grin and a nod when she mentioned stealing was a necessity. "Oh, it's defintiely needed," he noted. "The riskier it is, the more fun," he added lightly. When she mentioned their plan, he nodded, glancing over his shoulder at the town, where he knew Liz was asleep. Was he making the right choice doing this? Was this best for her? Now he was doubting himself. She needed an education...something he couldn't give to her. And they had money for milk, but would they be able to keep it good if they kept travelling? He didn't know. He hoped he wouldn't just doom her. |

"Defanitly, the more risky it is the more fun, risk and fun are cousins, they both mean practically the same thing." She said, smiling back at him but that smile rather dropped when she saw him look back at the town. "Hey, this is a good descision.Liz will be safe and will survive, if she needs it I can give her a bit of the education I was tought.Life finds a way." |

Sage looked back at the girl when she spoke up, letting out a sort of breath and flopping onver onto his back, lacing his fingers over his stomach. "I don't know," he murmured. "I don't know anything about kids..other than what I've figured out with her so far. I mean...how will we keep milk good in the forest? How will you teach her without any supplies or books or anything? What if she gets sick? Or hurt? Or something happens to one of us and we're back down to rock bottom?" He was clearly working himself up about it, nails already going at his forearm....a habit he'd picked up as a kid and never gotten rid of. |

"Ooh,yeah the milk thing I didn't think of." Elara responded quietly, feeling kinda bad. "I can teach her with pigments on stones, you simply find something to make pigment out of then use your fingers, I can also buy a short book, practice with her with that but, I can assure you Sage, she'll be alright, and we'll be alrigt.If we hit rock bottom then we'll climb back up, and we won't stop until we're where we were." |

Sage sort of let out another sigh, shaking his head. He wanted to believe her ....he really did. But he was nervous. He was probably just worrying himself over nothing, but still. He forced himself to stop scratching when he felt blood under his nails, warm and sticky. He quickly moved to fidget with his jacket, in an attempt to calm his hands down. "I hope you're right," he murmured softly. |

"Me too," Elara said under her breath, shaking the thought and standing. "Im gonna go find something that we can take with us tomrrow, while there's still daylight.Don't overthink it, Sage." With that she turned and walked into the woods, figure blending in after a minute or two.The princess walked and walked, eventually stopping at a point where she couldn't see the fire.Elara sat on a stump and tossed her bow on the ground, head in her hands, mind pounding with doubt. What if he's right? What if we do hit rock bottom? Then what? Can't comeback here, that'd just be worse for poor Liz. Poor kid, never going to have a actual home if we're on the go so often, she might but, that's undetermanble. Eventually she shook off the thoughts and stood, grabbing her bow and shooting a fox before heading back to camp and tossing it to the side, sitting back in her original seat, still saying slient. |
