Hot) The elf bumped into someone while mingling in the booths, he apologized. Straightening up to look for Eris. He didn't pay too close attention the first time because she he doubted she would run, but it took a second beat for him to realize that the fae was out of sight. He turned around in a circle and started backtracking, a hint of embarrassment because of his crude adjustment in trajectory. Kin sighed quietly, almost relieved. He could've sworn she wasn't there a few seconds ago, but there she was. She didn't look done so he simply perused the other side more thoroughly.

Hot indeed And poor Kin didnt even get to see it)) Eris simply continued strolling, glancing around the market easily. As if she hadn't just threatened to dismember someone while they were still alive. She had no Elvin money, but it was a little fun looking. Lots of jewelry, very little food. Food that was within the expiration date, anyway. She glanced around and found Kindred with a quick sweep of her gaze, sidling through the crowd to his side. "I've seen enough." She said simply, glancing around. The saw no sign of the teenage elf. She figured the boy was simply hiding in the alley, or had found some other way out.

Kin moved slightly as she came by, analyzing her and then slipping onto a sidestreet toward the stable. They saddled up, left and then traveled. They traveled a lot, it was quite a ways from where they had been, and yet no deviation of the path. The bear knew where it was going. After about a week of clear skies, crisp weather and passive conversation- if they had any- they finally approached a much larger city. It had no walls surrounding the tarry buildings, it was a very diverse place in the middle of almost nowhere. It had a large bulldozed path and still wreaked of death from where they walked in. "Welcome to the Skir." He looked over at Eris, narrowing his eyes for a split second. These buildings were taller, with many guards, casting lengthy and tall shadows over the streets. The town had an erieness, not just the darker look, the people felt secretive and shielded, yet like they all held the same secret. This elf had been here many times. Once not of his own accord, but of course, that was history. The city was vast, miles long. Imedal is a large place. He rode up to an inn. This was a proper one, not a homely tavern- though he may prefer one over the other. It had a stable beside it and sconces lit before the sun had gone down. He dismounted, his form had improved at least after a week and a half of the torture. Leading his horse in, it had a guard as well, who did not stop them. The elf lead his horse into an open stall and began untacking him. They seemed to be alone in this part of the barn. Save for the many horses stalled up. He brought his important items out, shouldering his saddlebags as usual. "Lets get a room, but after, there's a place we should go." He stated, he expressionlessly watching her. He didn't particularly want to go, of course. With ..history and all.

Eris glanced around with interest as they made their way into Skir. Signifigantly less cottage-y than the last town- eerie. Ominous. It felt almost ghetto-ish. She felt both more in place here and at the same time more out of place. Secretive, shadowy streets were that of her kind. Not Fae, but assassins. Shadows. Like calls to like, as it is. Yet the entire town had a sort of aura around it that reeked of warning. She glanced up at Kindred as they approached an Inn, tilting her head up at the building. She slid easily off of her horse, guiding him into the barn and looking around with narrowed eyes. Her leg had gotten signifigantly better, but still ached after too much strenuous activity. She got unready rather quickly, the white cat from earlier winding about her feet. She followed him lightly toward the inn, some of her feline grace returning in force. "Very well." She said, dipping her head in acknowledgement.

The elf looked vigilant as they left the barn, far more than usual. The colors of the inn were more homey. The similar charcoal look, with a rich sandy wood and red banners. Buildings around seemed to have their own color schemes. The blacksmith had steel and copper hanging on its walls, the tavern with an orange haze. They walked into the arched doors that led inside. A fancy look, his leather heels met with wooden floorboards. His eyes rose to the unthreatening sticky man who weilded the keys. At first appearance it looked like an elf, and with the flash of a smile, were tipped teeth. "How do you do?" The Vampire greeted, speaking in common and curiously eyeing the pair. He obviously didn't think much of it. More about the limping the fae was doimg than anything. "I'm sharp, how about yourself? Do you think we could catch a room?" Kin greeted, he seemed nonchalant despite the fuzzy feline friend roaming ontop on his feet. "Surely." The innkeeper assured and fetched a certain key and mentioned a price. They received a second story room. "Any questions?" He inquired quickly while Kin looked for the appropriate amount of currency.

The Fae simply strode in line with her Elven companion, glancing around discreetly. Little One was trotting between them, slick white fur neatly groomed. Not a hair out of place on his furry little body. Eris stayed silent as they entered the Inn, clasping her hands behind her back. Her eyes narrowed in a slightly intimidating manner- not hostile, but strong. She couldn't risk looking weak with a bad leg in a place... like this. She looked over the vampire with vague interest. They were uncommon where she was from, but not rare. Vampires and Fae were like opposite ends of the same stick. Both slick, conniving. One stuck to back alleys and the other to thrones, but the principle was there. Eris glanced boredly around at the mention of questions. "Anything interesting around here? Events, entertainment. Things to watch for." She asked, glancing back at the innkeeper with her head slightly tilted.

The elf observed his companion. She was playing tough. Which was arguably a fine idea but she looked a little suspicious. His casual appearance was not a facade. While true he could have cared less if they got murdered on the street, most wouldn't stain the floor of this fine establishment. IK "There's a gypsy band in town, playing at the nearest saloon for the next few days. To help keep the town's spirit up after that harbinger killed so many of us. If you're interested in that. Theres a festival coming in a few weeks but I don't think you travelers are staying long." He stammered to think of anything else. For a city it didn't have a whole lot of entertainment. "Uhh, you might check out the archery contest tomorrow." Finally he offered, taking the appropriate coins, quickly re-counting and putting them safely in a money box. He shifted the key closer and brightly surveyed the pair to see if there was anything further.

Eris let her eyes drag from head to toe of the Vampire as he spoke- surveying. She nodded along as he spoke, reaching forward and taking the keys from the counter with her index finger. She slid them back off the counter and into her hand, dipping her head slightly in acknowledgement. "Sounds interesting." She said simply, turning and making her way toward their room, Little One winding around Kindred's legs and then trotting after her to follow at her heels. Thank you was customary in Greenbriar- at least, not at a certain status. Manners and pleasantries were reserved for those above or equal to your status. Otherwise, it could be misconstrued as a sign of weakness, to use them with someone below you in rank. She wasn't fond of it, but when in a place she'd never see again, and waiting out a sentence, she didn't have the energy to spare niceties.

Kin blinked somewhat judgingly, though he should be used to that by now. He followed up her statement a "Thank you." And strode behind her, his coins stuffed in his bag. The lobby was small and had two others, friends, seated. They seemed to be waiting for someone. They weren't interested in them. He watched the feline weave at Eris' side as they turned a corner. Which lead to a staircase. He had caught up with her and made it to the landing first, eyeing a room number and then taking a hard left. To the second door down. He opportunely tried opening the door before she came into sight, and then inconspicuously leaned against the wall when the door turned out to be locked.

Eris made her way through the hotel with light steps, minus the slight limp, glancing over the people in the lobby. They seemed nonthreatening. She blew out the smallest of sighs when she saw the stairs, forcing herself to take them on. It burned, but she made it to the landing alive. Just in enough time for the twisting of a door handle to reach her ears. Soft. Rushed. Her eyebrows lifted coolly as she took the hard left he had, her ear flicking at the almost inaudible scuffing of a boot- turning. She gave Kindred a harsh up down and walked to his side easily. "What are you doing?" She asked flatly, peering up at him and crossing her arms. The statement didnt pitch upwards at the end, like most questions- just a light raise to intone that it was a question. Still, made it sound declarative- a little order-ish.
