She looked him over but he was covered in blood. "Ugh I can't tell. Your scrubs are soaked" she tried to look around but the ash and dirt that was caked on made it hard to pinpoint any spot. She bit her lip, frustrated. She finally saw a spot on his side. "I think one of the bombs threw something at you" she said, gently touching the area around the torn fabric of his scrubs. "Its a rock" she gasped, moving a little closer

Sage sort of groaned in response to her comment. His scrubs were soaked? So he had lost more blood than he'd realized. He sort of shifted to try and prop himself up and see what she was talking about, but then his vision went fuzzy and the next thing he knew he was flat on his back strugglign to breathe. "A rock," he repeated, mind struggling to work. "Did it break a rib," he asked after a moment. That was the likely option....if he'd been hit and ribs had been broken, it would have punctred a lung and collapsed it. That would make sense.

She jumped back when he fell back onto the ground. "Sage are you alright?" She moved his arm. "I dont have a clue... I just know a rock is sticking out of you. How did you do all of this? How did I not notice?" She asked, her voice fading as she spoke. She was blaming herself for everything now. If she had actually looked at him like a normal erson would after he kissed her she would have noticed. "i'm sorry" she mumbled, her hands ripping a larger hole in his scrubs. "Do I pull it out? I can grab it"

Sage sort of just blinked up at the girl, doing his best to understand what she was saying. His hearing and vision had gone sort of funky by then, but he really was trying. "I'm fine. Just got dizzy," he sort of breathed, nodding slightly when said she wasn't aure if the rib was broken. "Probably did," he wheezed. "probably nicked my lung which is why I can't breathe," he added, reaching over to weakly oat her leg. "to be fair I didn't notice either," he mused, and would have been amused if he wasn't currently bleeding out in the ground. "No...let's try to get me inside first," he reasoned. "Ill bleed moreince it's out and if I pass out halfway through instructing you it won't help," he added, attempting to get to his feet.

She nodded a little, heling him up. She held him, wobbling as she moved forward. "Lordy i need to workout more" she let out a dry laugh. Blood was getting her side wet because of the hole in his body. "Ahh okay gross sorry" she rambled before pushing the door open and leading him in. She set him down on a bed "okay... what first?"

Sage couldn't help but wheeze out a sort of laugh at her small joke, flopping onto the bed with a grunt once they finally reached a room. "Pour some of the disinfectant over it, then pull it out," he said after a moment of struggling to think. "If the bones broken we might have to realign it, then stitch it up," he added. "then I'll walk you through how to manage with the funky lung if it's actually punctured."

She grimaced but wet to work, dumping some disinfectant over his wound. "ahh sorry..." she wiped her hands off then gripped the rock with her fingers, pulling it out easily. "Ahhh eww" she dropped it on the floor. "That was in you... eww"

Sage winced slightly when the liquid was poured over the wound, hissing slightly. "That's colder than I expected," he grumbled, focusing more on that than the pain threatening to knock him out. He let out a grunt of pain and curse when the rock was removed, blinking sweat out of his eyes and moving to feel the wound. It was definitely broken. He took a steadying breath before moving to reduce it quickly, a sharp snap sounding as it moved back into place. He must have passed out for a few seconds, before coming too again and pointing to a tube on the table. "that needs to go in my chest. Reinflates the lung," he wheezed, by now nearing passing out. "just stab it through, here, until you hear a pop," he instructed. "Then tape it there and stitch up the rock area," he added, eyes starting to flutter closed despite his attempts to keep them open.

She gagged when he popped his bone back in place. She grabbed the tube, Pushing it through where he instructed. She winced when it popped, jerking her ever so slightly. She taped it in place then grabbed the sitches and began trying to stitch it up. "I'm going to warn you... I have only seen vet shows stitching animals up so I don't know how to do this. I just know It's individual stitches, not one big line like for clothes" she said

Sage nodded when he felt the tube go in, relieved to be able to take a deep breath. It meant the tube had done it's job. Good. He'd take it out in a few hours, once he was sure he was alright. "just take it later by later," he noted groggily. "Doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to not be bleeding much," he added, patting her hand in a sort of thanks. She got to work though, it wasn't very far into it when he finally passed out. He welcomed it, by then...she had things under control and he was glad to not be in pain.
