"well not better, exactly, but he'll live to see tomorrow." Sam said, letting a breath out and smiling faintly. "but he still has a long path to total recovery. whatever plant he ate must've been nasty." Sam said, relaxing back into the hay. "we still have about an hour to wait though."

Ellies smile, while the news wasn't saying he was in the clear, was uncontrollable. Even if he was just a little bit better, it made her over joyed. "Well, at least hes even that bit better." She said with a grin. She settled back down while she felt like jumping around. "I'm not sure that I could wait that hour," She said with a short laugh.

"yeaj same." Said Sam, grinning manially back. it was so good to hear the littly guy was doing well in the makeshift theatre that was the foaling stall. Sam close his eyes again, pulling out his AirPods to pass the time. He switched on his Ipod and began to listen to some music, drifting in and out of a happy sleep.

Ellie was glad to see him as happy as she was about little Ruin, so a small smile just lingered on her face for a short while, letting herself relax again and get comfortable against him and the hay bale again. She could slightly hear the music after a while, and it started to lull her into sleep, but she seemed to wake up at every louder sound. After a while of not being able to get back to sleep, grumbled a little and sat up again, stretching her arms out and flopping on the hay bale again, just sitting there until she heard the faintest of whinnies and she instantly sat up, eyes suddenly very much awake. "Sam," She whispered softly, though it was clear that there was excitement in her voice, "Sam, wake up!" She repeated swiftly.

"whazzgoinon." Sammumbled, jolting awake and putting his music stuff back in his pocket. "what happened?is Ruin OK?" Then he heard the faint neigh and leapt up from his comfy resting place. "lets go!" He said and bounded out of the barn.

Ellie chuckled lightly and followed him out of the barn, attempting to keep up with him, but she lost her flip flops like three times. When they came to the stables, there was still a team of vets, but they were giving him pain relief and bandaging him up. One of them gave her relived look, telling her that the old little pony would be fine for now. She gave a smile, stroking the ponies muzzle lightly and her went to rest his chin on the stable door quietly.

Sam came up beside Ellie, smiling. That was all over and it was great to see that Ruin was ok. but now they were faced with another problem: "i need 6k by the end of the week." The vet said, sharp and to-the-point. "if you can't get that im afraid Ruin would need to be handed over." Sam exchanged an anxious gkace with Ellie then said "ok, sir. itt'l be with you by monday."

Ellie almost didn't manage to hear what the vet said, she was far to occupied by the little pony before her, but when she did, she went still, taking her hand away from the ponies soft muzzle. She repeated the words of the vet to herself before looking suddenly very worried. She watched as the vet started to leave, her head feeling a little wobbly. "We can't get that money together..." She said, almost to herself before turning back to the little pony. She looked nervous once again, and she didn't know what to do.

"oh yes we can." Said Sam determindly. then suddenly an idea struck him- "lets do a pony camp! like for kids! it can be spread out over a day and f we get enough people paying the enty fee it could just stretch. plus its my birthday tomorrow so ill put in the money my dad gives me." he said. it could work. it needed to work.

"Yes, but that needs staffing and instructors and whatnot.... And lots of preparation." She said with her brows slightly furrowed. "But it's always worth a try," Her voice was quiet and skeptical. "And I could always put a penny in." She said turning away from the pony again. She gave him a funny look when he said it'd be his birthday, "You never said anything!" She exclaimed, almost looking angry at the fact she was never told.
