Kai gasped. "Heyyy, I can't be sweet now?"

Cam grinned and shook her head at his gasp. "Nope! You're the big scary king of the night kingdom," she started very matter of fact. "You've never been sweet," she mused. He was always kind, but he never really did the whole sweet thing - she didn't mind, but it was nice all the same.

Kai gasped again, pouting, giving her his puppy eyes.

Cam grinned at him, although she just poured at his puppy dog eyes. "Awe, hubs, that doesn't work for you." He was a lot of things - he knew he was handsome, and she thought he was rather cute every now and then, but he just want one of those sweet guys.

"Why can't I be sweet?" he asked, grumpily.

Cam hummed in thought for a moment, sort of moving to run her hand up and down his side playfully. "Oh, you can be sweet. You can be very sweet, it's just not normal for you," she told him with a chuckle. "You know I think you're amazing, but you're just not one of those sweet people, you know?" She didn't realllyyy know how to put it, but she hoped it sort of made sense.

"Okay..." he accepted it slowly.

Cam’s smile lingered as she let her hand drift along his side, fingertips tracing absent patterns. She leaned in, pressing a light kiss to his cheek before pulling back just enough to meet his eyes. “Doesn’t mean you can’t tryyy to be sweet, though,” she teased, her voice lilting with amusement. Not that he needed to try, really—because, to her, that goofy little pep talk had been just about the sweetest thing.

Kai smiled and chuckled. "Alright, alright,"

Cam smiled, leaning up to peck his cheeks softly. It was getting late... and trying to fly had been exhausting. "You know what is adorable, though?" She asked with a chuckle. "When you're close. When I wake up in the middle of the night and your clinging to me like a lifeline. That's adorable," she chirped.
