Kai kissed her goodbye before moving along to his work, going to meetings throughout the day and checking on things in town and such.

Camery wandered around the halls happily, finding her mother - the woman looked hard in thought, and when Cam asked, she just shrugged. Something to do with the Day Kingdom. Apparently her father wasn't doing well on his own. She couldn't help but feel bad about the whole thing. She knew her father had... well, he'd gone insane, but he was still her had. She wanted to go and see him. Maybe if she just spoke to him about it all it'd be better? She'd ask Kai about it later. After lunch, though, she wandered off to find his mother, hoping for some sort of reassurance on the whole giving birth to a baby with wings - who knew the baby may not even have wings. It wasn't just that, though. It was the whole concept of it. The traditions... she wanted to know more, was all.

Kais mother was in the gardens, sipping on her afternoon tea.

Camery wandered around for a little while until she spotted Kais mother. She smiled lightly to her, inviting herself to sit down in a pretty chair next to her. "Good afternoon," she chirped happily to her.

"Hello, darling," Kais mother smiled at the girl. "How are you this morning?"

Cam smiled happily as she settled down, and offered the woman a little shrug. "I'm doing just fine, thank you," she chirped lightly. She looked thoughtful for a moment, a light smile across her face as she noticed the light golden lines on her skin reflect the sun. She missed that feeling - she'd have to come out here more often. "How are you gettin on? Is Alora doing okay?" She asked with a smile.

"I'm good, thank you," the woman smiled. "Aloras doing well, she's very excited for the birth, even though its months away," she chuckled. "Well, what has brought you here today?"

Camery smiled happily to her. She was happy for the girl - it had to be scary telling her family about it all. She must have waited a long time to say anything too... she and Kai had only been gone two months, and she'd hidden it fairly well. "That's good. Not many people would handle all this the way she is," she chirped lightly. Her face scrunched up a little and gave a sheepish smile. "Me being one of them - which is why I'm here," she mused. She bit her lip slightly as she thought her wording over, then sighed. "Kai and I have been talking about having a baby," she started slowly, her brows pinching together. "But I was hoping to talk to you about it before it goes too much further. The traditions, the birth itself - would it be any different to having a baby without wings?" She asked with furrowed brows.

Kais mother listened thoughtfully. She shook her head. "No, darling, its not any different whether they have wings or not. The baby will tuck them around themselves during the birth and the sharp edges don't come in until their toddler years," she reassured the girl.

Camery looked up at her and nodded slightly after a moment. "So it's no different from any other baby?" She asked curiously. "Kai said the same thing but I wasn't... I just wanted to hear it from someone who'd been through it," she mumbled quietly. Her brows furrowed slightly. "And the traditions - Kai said we were the only ones allowed to touch the baby for it to be considered royalty," she breathed softly, her brows pinching together. "He said it was common for things to go wrong... what if it goes wrong and we cant fix it?" She asked curiously. Edited at April 6, 2025 09:19 PM by Belle
