Anya nodded in agreement with the boy. It'd definitely be smart to have him fully weaned by the time he went to his new home. Well, Sage said they had a few more weeks until he needed to start weaning him, and it'd maybe take another weeks or so for him to be even nearly used to the food. They might be able to do that. They still had about a week and a bit until the formal, and any family that was remotely interested in giving the child a good home would want to come and see him a few times before taking him home... so they might be able to make it happen. Whatever, thinking too hard about it would just make her head hurt more. She glanced up at Sage, who by now had his eyes closed... and she could see he looked tired too. After a moment she wrapped her arms around his head and flopped down against the pillow, pulling him with her with a small, slightly weary chuckle.

Sage let out a tiny squeak when they girl yanked him down onto the the bed, though as soon as his head his the pillow he could feel himself getting even more tired ...no doubt the girl had noticed, even if she was sick. He stifled a yawn and curled up against the girl wearily, wishing he could relax enough to let himself sleep. But Att was alone, so he couldn't stay her for more than an hour or so, and Anya was sick....maybe if the girl let him know she was alright, and could convince him if that, maybe then he could let himself sleep. But he wasn't sure that would happen.... something inside him was keeping him awake...forcing him awake. It was even more tiring to try and figure out what was wrong with him now, though, so he decided to just focus on staying awake.

Anya gave a small smile at his little squeak, but curled around him anyway. She knew he wouldn't stay for long, so she did want to get herself back to sleep before he left... though, she did notice that Sage was still awake... or, trying to stay awake. She couldn't understand why he was trying to stay up, not when he looked to tired... but no doubt he had something on his mind. "Sage," she whispered softly, though a slight shiver ran through her as she shifted the blankets up a little so that they could stay plenty warm enough... and mainly because Anya was freezing. "What's up?" He would have gone to sleep if everything was alright... and while Anya was feeling ill, she wasn't going to get herself to sleep if he wasn't alright.

Sage looked over at the girl for a moment, trying to process what she'd said before sighing and shaking his head. "I just...what if you need me and I'm out cold? I can't stay long, Atts alone...and if you take a turn for the worse or..." He trailed off and sighed. He was silent for a moment before speaking up again, though it was barely a whisper. "The last time I fell asleep when someone I loved was sick, she died," he admitted. "I don't want that to happen again...even if I know it's stupid and you're probably just fine."

Anya gave the boy a soft sigh, though closed her eyes and rested her head lightly on his shoulder. "Look, you don't need to worry about me," she started quietly before shifting slightly. "We're not in the slums, and I'm not too ill," she promised gently, reaching a hand up and gently playing with his hair... but she wasn't sure if that was for him or for her. "Go to sleep for a little while. Promise I'll wake you up if I need anything," the girl whispered quietly, tucking her head into the crook of his neck as she tried to hide from the light? Which definitely wasn't helping her head.

Sage sighed and nodded, too tired to argue by then. "I know," he muttered. He was going to say something else, too, but by then he had already practically fallen asleep. Maybe he was more tired than he'd thought.

Anya gave a small smile to the boy, though curled back up into him as she felt herself slip back to sleep. She did hope he was alright, though... that he wasn't going to work himself too hard. Not with her, of Charlotte, or Atticus... he deserved some time to himself.

Sage felt a small smile when the girl curled up into him again as he fell asleep. He ended up falling into a deeper sleep than he originally wanted, but he really was tired. Probably too tired, if he really wanted to stay healthy....then again, he'd never really be perfectly healthy, not with all the underlying health issues from the slums and from his father. And really, he didn't mind getting a cold if it meant being with Anya and helping her. Though, so far she'd been helping him, too. He ended up just curling up into the girl, seeking out her warmth, just because it was cozy under there with her. But they could sleep for a while... Att was probably good for a few hours.

The two managed to sleep for a couple of hours... soundlessly, which was nice for a change. And she hadn't woken up with a fever or anything, though, she was very worried that Sage would end up getting ill and then Att would have no one to look after him. Well, maybe Charlottes parents would look after him for a little while, or even the doctor, but they were all very busy and she wouldn't put her money on it. When she did wake up, though, she felt slightly better... her head still hurt, and she was maybe a bit warm, but she was definitely not quite so weary. A couple of days of good rest and she would be alright, she was sure. Sage, though, was still flat out, and while he should probably go and see to Att, she didn't have the heart to wake him.

Admittedly, the rest was needed..Sage hadn't really realized how tired or run-down he'd gotten himself, probably making sure Att was alright. But the nice, deep sleep he'd needed...and he didn't want to get up. Att could manage for a little while longer, surely. He'd cleaned the room, so Att wouldn't get hurt even if he got out of his crib. Besides, the boy would most likely just play with his hippo toy, and chew on that, so really he would be fine. He might get hungry, but he'd live. And Sage was really tired.
