Sage looked over at her in surprise and then smiled. "Well you didn't leave me there, and I think that really all that matters," he told her happily, looking back to Annie. "We thought we were going to loose you too," he hummed.

Annie said " I know but mom won't let me be kidnap " cass smiles before nodding and said " she right I won't let her be kidnap even staying at her friends house"

Sage chuckled lightly and nodded. "Well, we learned that today for sure," he hummed. Then he looked over to check dinner. "Dinner's ready," he told them, divinding the now done meat evenly among them and moving the rest to dry out for jerky. They may need it later.

Cassandra smiles as she eats it and said " this is good " as Maddie nods and smiles as she eats and looks around Cassandra continues before tensing at a sound placing her stuff down she got up walks over and grabs the gun that she stole and point it in the direction she heard it

sage agreed that dinner was good happily. It was good...and hopefully, they'd be able to get game like this every day, or at least every other day. He tense at the sound too, alert and intelligent eyes scanning the forest around them. He stayed crouched down next to Annie, but it would take him no time at all to leap and kill whatever it was if that's what needed to happen.

Cassandra yells " show yourself " when a young man came out and points the gun at her before Cass said " drop you gun solder " the guy smiles before dropping it and said " I didn't think I ever see you again captain " Cass laughs and they hug before saying " what are you doing here " he said " just looking around what about you " as he eyes sage then looks back at Cass before moving her away from sage ear shot and said " he is very dangerous " Cass rolls her eyes and said " don't worry "

Sage was about ready to attack the man, though he stopped when Cass and the man hugged. He was still struggling to understand that she had lots of friends....and that sometimes she trusted people not to give them away. He kept an eye on the man, and on Cass and Annie. Which was a lot all at once, but he wasn't as trusting as Cass was.

Cass looks back at sage before saying " you know my daughter Annie and this is sage " as she looks at them and sighed noticed sage was eying them before she walks over to sage and said " is okay sage I know him even if you don't "

Sage sort of waved tensely at the guy and then grunted and nodded when Cass came over and said it was ok. "I know...but sometimes people you know betray you," he hummed, thinking about his own past. "But I trust you....so if you trust him then I'll respect him even if I don't like him," he told her.

Cass smiles Slightly before placing a hand on his shoulder then looks at the other guy and walks over opening a map and said " want to use that gun better soldier " he nods and they ran through about how to get through the enemy's land
