Sage helped hide some of them as well, and then moved to clean himself off in the river a bit before they headed back to the truck

Celeste rinsed off her face and hands, and then headed back to the truck, getting in.

Sage helped her out the bones in a bag once they were in the truck, driving back to Odessa's after that. It did strike him all of a sudden how much he missed home. Being able to hunt without worrying about humans seeing and freaking out, labelling him as a monster that needed to be out down. He missed the room to rome, their house, the little shed to morph in. He missed it all. Even the smells and noises of home....it was too much here. He didn't like it much. But it was what they had now, and he always grateful for it....but he really wanted to go home. He needed out of the city.

Celeste watched out the windows as they drove back to Odessas place. The two of them were thinking the same thing, both of them wanted out of this city.

Once they were back, he parked and let out a long breath. "We need to figure this out," he murmured, meaning the whole empress thing. "I want our home back," he added, fingers tightening on the steering wheel. She'd taken too much from them already. He would not let her take anything more.

Celeste nodded and sighed. "I know... me too..."

Sage stayed silent for a moment longer, just reaching over to take her hand and squeeze, as much for his own benefit as hers. Eventually though, he did take a breath and move to get out of the truck and grab the bag of bones for the kids

Sage offered Celeste a small grin when she moved to help, now feeling rather guilty about ruining their good mood. "Lets get these in to the kids," he hummed with a grunt as he picked up the bag and locked the truck up.
