"I didn't know if you liked espresso or not, so I just made you coffee,"
"I'm not too picky. I'm just thankful to have whatever's made," she said gratefully as she finished off her muffin before drinking some more coffee.

Luca nodded, slipping on his shoes when he had finished his breakfast.

Once she finished her coffee, Laurel put on her shoes as well and waited for Luca to be ready before they left.

Luca walked with her down to his personal car, a Ferrari, and got into the drivers seat.

Laurel knew she shouldn't be surprised, but she still was whenever she saw the Ferrari. Regardless, she got into the passenger seat.

Luca drove the two of them down to the hospital. It wasn't actually visiting hours, but the nurses took one look at him and let him in. He was very well known.

Laurel had been nervous they wouldn't be let in, but thanks to Luca they were. She guided them to her father's room and stepped inside, hesitating slightly when she saw him laying there. In truth, he looked terrible. The nurses had informed them that his condition hadn't improved, but it still hurt to see him like that.

Luca stayed by her side, just a few steps back though, letting her visit.

Laurel went to his bedside, taking her father's hand and running her free hand over his salt and pepper hair. His fingers twitched, but that was about it. "Hey dad.. Everything's gonna be alright. I know you probably can't hear me, but it's all okay. Luca's here with me.. the one I told you about.." she murmured, her words extremely soft. She shuddered a little, a hand covering her mouth as she felt tears rising again.
