Iris flushed as Caden flicked away the bit of lettuce, thanking him quietly. "Yeah I guess we should," she agreed, though not passionate about it. She didn't really want to leave. The rooftop was so welcoming and she was in the perfect position... But she had classes tomorrow and should probably get a good night's sleep. Still, it was hard for her to find the will to stand up. |

"Or... we could just stay up here? I'm pretty comfy just like this," He mused, readjusting his arm on her shoulders. |

Iris considered his offer for a moment before sighing. "No, we should probably go. It's getting late." She forced herself to stand up, reluctant to leave her position. She brushed herself off and helped Caden take the champagne and glasses back down to the kitchen. |

Caden reluctantly stood, grabbing the glasses. The glass faintly clinked together as he walked, holding the door for Iris before stepping into the elevator. It carried them down swiftly, Caden savoring the silence before the bustling chaos. |

Iris thanked him for holding the door and breathed in the quiet hum of the elevator. There'd been so much stillness up on the roof and she knew inside the restaurant would be the exact opposite, so she was preparing herself for the noise. It wasn't that she didn't like noise-- though that was half true-- she had just gotten so used to the quiet that she knew it would be a little shocking at first. The elevator doors slid open and the sounds washed over them. The clinkling of glasses, stilverware, and dishes, the chatter of people at the tables, and the bustle of the waiters and servers. |

Caden went and returned the bottle and glasses, clasping his hand around Iris's as the two walked out. "Y'know, really had fun tonight." He murmured, glancing over at her as he brushed his thumb over her knuckles. The cool breeze blew lightly through his hair, scattering it in a few directions as the chill settled over him like a wave. The valet drove the Corvette up, hopping out and handing the keys to Caden. |

Iris's hand tingled at his touch as they walked out into the cold night air. She shivered and wrapped her jacket around her a little tighter, sticking her free hand in her pocket to keep it warm. "I did, too," she agreed, smiling. She let go of his hand and slid into the passenger seat. "I'd suggest doing something tomorrow, but I have classes until 7:00 with half-hour breaks in between..." |

Caden pulled out of the lot, the radio quietly playing softly. "I've got classes until 8:30, biggest break I have is an hour which I use for lunch." He explained, stopping at a red light and waiting for the bulb to turn green. The man had made sure to turn the heat up, as he had noted both of them were cold even in the sports car. |

Iris nodded. She'd probably bump into him in the halls but she did want to spend more time with him. "When do you want to do the next tutoring session? I only have three classes the day after tomorrow so that could work," she mused, the seat warmer and air from the vents making her smile. |

"That'll work then, maybe grab some dinner or something afterwards." He noted, smiling just a smidge as he took her hand once more. Caden looked over at her, grinning lazily before turning into the parking lot. It broke him that their night had come to an end, after becoming at peace it had to end. "Well, here we are.." He muttered, turning off the ignition before stepping out back into the cool air. |
