Sage had snickered slightly in response to her comments, throwing her an amused glance. "A pillow, huh," he mused, really just amused at the thought. "Could be worse I suppose," he chuckled softly, really just messing around in a comfortable, lazy way. It was still morning, and neither of them had really done very much yet. Which was perfectly fine with him. (Short were getting ready for Thanksgiving dinner lol)

Jora couldn't help but roll her eyes, a small grin tugging at her lips as she watched Sage's amused reaction. His chuckle was light, easy—like he wasn't exactly taking her seriously, but that was just Sage for you. Always with the laid-back attitude, like nothing could really get under his skin. "Yeah, could be worse," she replied, leaning back slightly, folding her arms across her chest. She raised an eyebrow, eyes glinting with playful mischief. "But don't get too comfortable, Sage. I’ve seen the way you snuggle up to your pillow—might not be so much different from what you’d do to a person." She could feel the teasing air between them, and it was… comfortable. Nothing forced, nothing too serious. Just the way mornings should be, she thought, as she allowed herself to relax into the easy rhythm of the moment. "Anyway," she added, shifting slightly, "we've got the whole day ahead of us. No rush." She knew he’d take it however he wanted, but something told her he wasn’t in any hurry to get up either. They were both still a little wrapped in that sleepy haze, and for once, it was nice not to feel like the world was moving too fast.

Sage rolled his eyes in response to her comment, shaking his head in amusement. "I probably cuddle you the same way anyway," he pointed out. He didn't exactly know how he snuggled the pillow, as she'd said, but he did know how he tended to wrap around her, and it couldn't be all that different. Of course, she was more comfortable than a pillow anyway. "Yeah," he sort of mused lightly, setting the apple core down on the side table with a sigh, settling back down after a moment or so. "There's nothing super important to do right now," he hummed lightly.

(Jora's always ready for round... uh lost track, lol) Jora rolled her eyes, but there was a smile tugging at the corners of her lips. "You’re probably right," she said, looking over at him. She couldn’t help but imagine him wrapped around her in the same way he would with a pillow—though she was far more comfortable, she was certain. "You definitely know how to make things cozy." She leaned back into the cushions, stretching out her legs. "Nothing super important, huh?" she repeated, tapping her fingers on the mattress absently. "Guess we’re free for now. But you know, that doesn’t mean we should just sit around. There’s always something to do, even if it's just... distracting each other." She raised an eyebrow, a playful glint in her eyes as she glanced over at him. Edited at November 28, 2024 09:00 PM by Hudie

(lolll....so is sage. Bros in over his head and he loves it xD) Sage hummed softly as if in thought and nodded along to her comment in agreement, though at her next comment, he felt his eyebrows raise in surprise. "I really am the first thing you think of, huh," he teased after a moment or so. He sort of slid down to lounge next to her, eyes glittering. "Distract me? From what," he mused lightly. "You're quite the sight, especially without clothes on," he added. Sometimes he surprised himself, the way he could flirt and not care at all that he was saying such crude things. But it generally got him in a spot he quite liked, so he was fine with that. He wasn't really in the mood for a whole lot of teasing, but he did enjoy a bit of banter.

Jora smirked as Sage’s words hit her, her eyes flicking to him as he slid down beside her. She let out a small, amused chuckle, her fingers tracing a delicate pattern on the surface between them. "Oh, you’re not the first thing on my mind," she replied, her voice teasingly light, but with a hint of something mischievous beneath. "Just the most persistent," she added, raising an eyebrow in challenge. His next comment about her being a sight made her roll her eyes, though there was a glimmer of appreciation in the way she leaned into him. "Flattering," she murmured, though her expression remained playful. "But it’s not me who’s distracted, is it? I think it’s you." Jora wasn’t one to back down from a verbal sparring match, especially when she could enjoy a little fun along the way. Her tone held a casual, almost nonchalant air, but her gaze lingered on him, assessing.

Sage chuckled softly in response to her comment, shrugging slightly. "Well I'll take that," he mused, lips twitching upwards lazily. "I can certainly be persistent. Long as it's not annoying you I'll be fine," he chirped, though he supposed there was a bit of truth behind it. He hummed when she spoke up again, shrugging in response, grinning over at her lightly. "I suppose so," he mused. "It's rather hard not to be distracted by your pretty face," he noted lightly, letting his gaze flicker down her body. "Or the rest of you," he added with a chuckle. He could flirt, and mess around, but really he just liked the fact that they could love each other and not have to worry about.... anything else. No one was here to interrupt them, or control them. And she wouldn't hurt him. They did love each other, and he was desperate for her touch. He did like his creature comforts ...but this was a little different. But it was just as wonderful.

Jora's eyes softened as she listened to Sage's words, a playful smile tugging at her lips. His voice was light and teasing, but there was something in the way he looked at her that made her heart skip. She rolled her eyes at his compliment, though the warmth in her chest betrayed her. "You always know just what to say," she replied, her tone a mix of affection and teasing. But behind the laughter, something deeper stirred in her. She didn't need the words or the flirtation to know what he meant. It was the way he looked at her, the way he held her attention so completely, as if nothing else mattered in the world. And honestly, she couldn't think of anything she’d rather have than this – their moments of simplicity, without the weight of the outside world pressing down on them. No one could touch them here. No one could steal this. It was just them, together, and that was enough. She leaned in closer, her voice low and soft, "You know, it’s not just your persistence that I enjoy..." she whispered, her hand grazing his arm gently. "It’s everything about you." The words hung between them, quiet and sincere. There was no need for grand gestures or anything flashy. What they had was different, and she wouldn’t trade it for anything. Not now, not ever.

Sage hummed softly in response to her first comment, shrugging slightly. "I just say the first thing that pops into my head," he noted with a laugh. "I'm just lucky it sounds so nice to you," he noted lightly, grinning over at her. Though, his gaze softened slightly at her next comment, turning from mischievous to just....longing. Longing for her. Not just for her to bed him, or him her, or however they would describe that.....but just her. Her voice, the gentle way her hand brushed against his arm, the way she looked at him. Made him feel so worthy. Of course, making love to her was pretty great, and he was definitely up for that this morning. He was admittedly a little impatient. But he did appreciate her comments, and it just made him appreciate her even more. He leaned forward to press his lips against hers softly, humming. "I love you, you know that," he sort of murmured against her, just all of a sudden really, really glad to have her. To have someone who loved him. Wanted to care for him. And who thought he was worthy of it, because he was still trying to figure it all out himself.

Jora’s breath caught in her throat as Sage leaned forward, pressing his lips to hers. It was a soft, tender kiss, one that held more meaning than just the heat of the moment. He murmured against her lips, his words brushing over her skin like a whisper of something precious. I love you. She pulled back just enough to look at him, her eyes softening. For a second, she couldn’t quite place the swell of emotion that stirred in her chest. It wasn’t just the familiar warmth that came with being with him, not just the excitement of the connection between them. It was... something deeper. Something that spoke to all the quiet, tender moments between them that made everything else feel like it paled in comparison. She gave a soft laugh, reaching out to touch his arm, her fingers brushing lightly over his skin. “I don’t think I’ve ever felt more like I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be than when I’m with you" she admits. "I love you, to the moon and back” she adds. Her eyes flickered to his lips, then back up to his eyes, searching his face. Worthy… care for him... She could hear the longing in his voice, the quiet uncertainty that never fully left him. She could feel it too, sometimes—like a knot in the pit of her stomach, that unspoken weight. But there was no doubt in her mind about him, about them.
