Rose sighed. "No. I'm not alright." She started quietly. "I don't have a future planned, i'm getting worse at volleyball, I don't remember to get up on time for practice, I don't have any real friends left since Katie ghosted me and I left you."

Caden fell silent as she vented, his arm wrapping around her waste. "Rose,I don't even know. Thanks for being honest but, honestly?Neither of us have friends.Either they all turned on us or are dead." He spat, turning and looking deep into her eyes. "Listen to me.You're not geting worse at volleyball, you're just unsure about if you're going to continue it or not.Not getting up for practice?Go to bed early and set a alarm.Your a really good player, just, unsure of the path time will take you on.Make sense?" Caden asks, tone soft and stern.

Rose listened to him, unable to understand why she felt like this when she had everything she'd ever wanted right here with her. Him. She wouldn't ever forgive herself for leaving him, but she'd found her way back to him and played professional volleyball with games nearly every weekend. She wouldn't be playing the night he was in the Super Bowl -obviously- but she would try to play in other games and stumble or yell at her teammates that were trying just as hard as she was. She didn't speak to Caden in that moment, not wanting to upset him or say anything more that would trigger her to start arguing with him. She had so much going through her head, but she couldn't define what was making her think or feel this.

Caden gazed into her eyes for another moment, brushing his lips against hers before his hand slid off her waist. "I'll leave you to your own thoughts now." He said softly, turning and walking back inside. His mind pounded with thoughts, such as a rapid river flushing through his head but instead of sticks and stones, they were thoughts and the voices.Oh how he hated the voices. The medicene helped a smidge, just enough to take the edge off things, atleast.Caden slid under the covers after taking a quick shower and stretchd out, finding a comfotable position before slowly falling asleep.

Rose didn't respond as he left, listening to him shower. She sighed after a while, changing and climbing into bed. She sat beside his head and played with his hair gently, running her hands through it and playing with a lock of sorts

Caden slept peacefully through another dreamless sleep, almost fully asleep but still slightly awake. He could feel Rose playing with his hair,he could also feel her sit next to him.The faintest of faintest smiles showed on his face, shifting slightly as he rested.

Rose was unable to sleep, a bad thing since she had a game the very next morning, but she just was worried about where her mind would go if she slept

Caden eventually awoke to the star struck sky and Rose, something to smile about.A soft smile etched itself on his face, him turning and spotting her.Caden sat up and wrapped a arm around her shoulder, being able to tell she hadn't slept. "Hey,can't sleep?"
|
| |
|
|
|
"Yeah, but it's fine. You should sleep." She said quietly

"No,I can't sleep.Body won't let me." He explains, squeezing her shoulder gently. brb in like,30-35 minutes, keep this tab open and i'll be back lol)
