Mercy promptly grabbed him by the feet and gave him a 'Try Me' glare. Her wings sprouted into existence, and she flapped them hard enough to drag him where she wanted him to go. She huffed and folded her wings stubbornly. "Now hug the dog, or I swear to heaven, Ajax." She huffed.

Ajax glared at Mercy at first, but when her wings flared he got that *uh oh* look on his face. He let out a yelp as he started getting dragged along the ground, flipping over and clawing himself out of her reach the best he could. Whiiich was getting himself free, but not moving more then an inch. He went limp with a groan, staying right beside Rex and definitely NOT moving. "I thought your end goal was to heal me, not tear my back to pieces dragging it along the ground." He muttered with a low breath of air, letting his head drop back against the ground and staring up at the sky. "Ow." Ajax said mournfully. "Fine, swear to heaven if you want. I'll laugh miss Angel." He grunted

Mercy glared at him, then promptly sat down beside him. "I hate you, I hope you know that." She huffed, flicking him on the side of the head before leaning over him to pet Rex. "If you want to be grumpy and forlorn, go right on ahead." She huffed.

Ajax stayed still on the ground, letting out a slow, wheezing breath and staring at the sky. "Oh, I know." He half groaned, flopping out an arm to stroke Rex's smooth fur. "I'm sorry but that hurt.." He snorted, gently petting Rex and looking like he was thinking about something

Mercy sighed and stretched out a little more. "...sorry." She huffed moodily, rubbing Rex's ears gently. Eventually, she pulled her hand back and flopped on the ground, curling up with her arm touching Ajax. She closed her eyes and then opened them again with a small sigh, staring at the sky.

"Ah, the Magnificent Mercy apologized? I'm in awe." Ajax decided to pull a little stunt of his own, letting out a disguised laugh that sounded like a cough. The truth... it was disguised terribly. He continued to stroke Rex, knowing it was good for him... even if he didn't want it to be. He didn't have the energy to move an inch away when Mercy flopped down beside him, so he did the latter and stayed still like a sack of potatoes. Much less strenuous.

(If this ever turns out to be a romace (knowing Ajax... millions of years later), then it might go something like this: *Ajax musters of all his courage and puts an arm around Mercy, holding his breath* *Mercy was amazed he would ever do something like that, going into shock* XD))

"Mm, yes, I do that at times, if you hadn't noticed. And Magnificent? I can get by with magnificent." Mercy chuckled. Rolling her eyes at his ill diguised cough, tilting her head at him with a small smile, watching him pet Rex. She closed her eyes with a small, tired sigh.

"At times? Like, before I knew you?" Ajax scoffed, but he was completely joking... he had to be. Mercy did apologize, and even though Ajax acted like he had no brain sometimes, he had an incredible memory. "Oh I'm sure you can." He snorted. Rex took this as a cue to try and murder Ajax's bones, so the big dog attempted to half crawl onto the man and lick his face. "Pfft... Rex... Ow... Hey.." Ajax spat muffled words, pushing he dog off and sitting up, spitting dog fur out of his mouth. "Reeeex." He complained, swiping a hand over his face. "That huuuurt." Ajax blew out a breath of air, grabbing Rex's head and shaking it back and forth playfully. The dog woofed and wagged his tail, pressing his head against Ajax.

"Ha-ha." Mercy quipped sarcastically, glaring at him playfully. She sat up suddenly as Rex tried ti clamber on top of him. "Rex, no-" She went to push him off and found that Ajax was moving him. Too late to backtrack, she landed with her hands on the ground on the other side of Ajax, leaning over him slightly. She huffed and lifted her hands, crossing her arms. Her glare turned into a playful look as she watched Rex and Ajax, making her smile.

"Ha, so you DO care if I get hurt! Score!" Ajax laughed, though he did wince slightly as Rex put a paw on him. He really didn

t have any energy to move now, so he focused on Rex when Mercy attempted to help and failed miserably. "My cuddling with the dog usually looks more like playing, but I do spend time with him, believe it or not." Ajax stifled a snort, ruffling Rex's fur. The dog cocked an ear and looked at Mercy before looking at Ajax again, giving the man a whine. "Don't even." He commanded the dog sternly.
