08:16:40 Geek @Hummer
Oof. I'm sorry for you, and your mom's friend. |
08:15:53 Hummer @Penta, she has and for that I am sorry, but I donÂ’t know this woman at all and suddenly being trauma dumped onto by a stranger makes me feel awkward and frustrated. |
08:14:52 Penta - KNNs Sounds like the friend has been severely traumatized and needs to vent. Leave the room if you don't want to listen to it anymore. |
08:14:44 Bluey I'm just going through my barns and putting some for sale when I came across a EPS mare I apparently caught? |
08:12:51 Hummer @Greek, my family is 100% of my drama. My momÂ’s friend just moved in with us. The friend is going through a terrible divorce with an an abusive husband so I feel bad for her, but thus far I am already tired of listening to her complain and vent for the past 2 hours about the terrible things she has been through. |
08:10:41 Bluey Hummer sounds like high school lol |
08:10:29 Geek @Hummer
Idk, but that is SO relatable. My family is 80/95% pure drama. |
08:09:34 Hummer Why is it whenever I try to remove drama from my life somehow more drama finds me? |

Oakwood Barn said: KPH Equestrian said: ideas: maybe we drop a little eye-opener on Tom passing through poor villages that hey, some of your people ain't so well off? And then later on, it turns out King Winsire's been kidnapped or smth, forcing Tom and Lukas far north(or whatever direction lol) to rather uncharted territories to rescue Winsire *cue fantasy creatures that have otherwise been hunted to extinction, then epic battle*
YES OMLLLL- Also, I'll try to respond tomorrow- I'm on my phone rn so it's slow lol

(just minimizing scrolling bc I'm lazy af lmao) Thomas d'Malvane "Well... to Peklonstan?" Tom said. "My father's had issues with them for quite some time, though he never paid them any visits to sort it out that I'm aware of. Now that they've tried to assassinate them, and I'm technically king, I think that should be the first order of business." Was it reckless? Yes. Peklonstan was hostile territory, but they could try to talk Lord Brinsin out of taking Oumas' land, and perhaps he'd be satisfied with just Herer, as it was currently without a ruler. Or, worst case scenario, they kill Brinsin, take his land, and unite Peklonstan and Oumas in a show of power and prowess. But... Tom didn't really care for world domination. His kingdom had resources and his people were well cared for, and all was fairly good in Oumas. The only problem was his mother... his current - and rather poor - plan was to just up and leave, maybe leave her a note. Lady Thelia could handle the kingdom by herself for a time, right? (lol you're good xD)

Lukas Rin +-------------------------------------+ Lukas gave him an unimpressed look. "... Are you sure you don't have any faeries infecting your brain, prince?" He said blandly. He sighed, shushing Iris to a stop. She snorted in disdain, but stopped, lowering her head to nibble on some grass. Lukas turned to Thomas. "That is a horrid idea. Especially since you are no temporary king. You'd be dead the moment you set foot inside there... Trust me, I would know." He muttered, shifting in his saddle. He looked away. "Come on... We can walk and talk." Lukas suggested, pushing Iris to the side with his leg. Iris complied, a bit reluctantly. But she did. She began walking the trail that led them to the back of the palace... Lukas turned to Thomas. "Thomas, that would be a death wish for you. You're too recognizable. Everything about you screams royal. Even the way you sit on a horse screams proper." He pointed out. He shook his head. "Why would you even want to go?" He grunted, letting his hips move with Iris's steps. (Mind out of the gutter 0:))

Thomas d'Malvane "Mostly sure," Tom said only half convincingly. He held Nox back a few feet from Iris, lest the stallion get overzealous about the mare. "Well- ouch. But that's why we should go. Besides, it's not like I'm an only child, Thalia's been drilled on royal matters since she could talk. If I die, it's not like it's the end of the world," Thomas said, partly indignantly, then added quietly, "My mother would probably cheer." He'd always been the lesser child in his mother's eyes, though part of that could be blamed on the fact Thalia was basically every parent's dream daughter, never seeming to struggle at anything. Tom just nodded and let Nox walk with Iris, who seemed somewhat happier at moving rather than standing still. Tom sighed as Lukas spoke again, though he was right. Part of that was just because that was how Nox was used to being ridden, but one couldn't blame the horse for Tom's childhood riding instructor's teachings. "Yeah yeah," He mumbled, then fell silent. It sort of felt like he needed to prove himself to his parents, particularly the queen. "It just... feels important, that's all." Tom let Nox drop his head a bit, and he promptly sneezed on Iris's neck and part of her face. (Oh hush you, my mind wasn't in the gutter to begin with xD) Edited at October 17, 2024 01:48 PM by KPH Equestrian

Lukas Rin +-------------------------------------+ Lukas shook his head. "We both know Queen Thelia doesn't want Thalia to rule. She's dead set on you taking the throne." He sighed. He continued letting Iris make her way along to path. "Look, I don't have any control over you, but I'm not lying here. You aren't... fit for that city. Take that how you please." Lukas said firmly. "All I'm saying is think about it. If you give me an actual plan on what you are going to do I won't tell the Queen." He stated, voice firm. "I am your friend, but I won't let you throw yourself into danger for whatever reason." He grunted. Lukas glanced to his side, eyes trained on the forest beside him. His eyes darted to a rustling bush and his eyes narrowed. Weird... The horses made their way by the bush and Lukas twisted to stare at it while they passed. Hm... Weird. He turned back to watch the path. (Sure it wasn't 🙄🤥😇)

Thomas d'Malvane "Ye-es... true... but Thalia would probably be better than me..." Tom said slowly. Sure, Thelia did want her son to rule so she wouldn't have to marry off her daughter and possibly have to deal with treaties with another kingdom and whatnot, but Tom figured Thelia could suck it up and deal with it. "What's so terrible about it- bounty hunters or prostitutes? Because I think I could handle either of them," Thomas said with a small, wry smile, leaving out the fact that he probably couldn't fend off bounty hunters without Lu. Tom sighed and said, "Alright fine, deal. Though I have to admit, you're far better at planning than me." That was rather true, though Tom did have access to a different sort of solution if need be—throwing money at a problem and hoping it goes away. It was definitely not his favorite solution, but it was handy. "Yeah... I appreciate that," Tom said softly. Nox stopped suddenly, head high and ears pricked at a suspiciously rustly bush. "Just a bush, Nox," Tom said to the horse, who didn't seem to believe him, instead snorting at it and dancing around back and forth, not wanting to walk past it. "You little shit," Tom huffed, though Nox paid him no mind. (I literally wouldn't have thought anything of it had you not said something xD) Edited at October 17, 2024 02:20 PM by KPH Equestrian

Lukas Rin Iris' ears perked up, she slowed to a stop, head held high as she looked around. Lukas was also on high alert. Yeah, no... Something wasn't right here. Lukas looked around, eyes trailing over Nox and Thomas. Nox was refusing to pass that push... What the Hell? Lukas let go of Iris' reins, pushing the mare around with his legs as his arms went up, grabbing a tree branch above his head. He pulled himself up as quietly as possible. Iris was still on high alert, she was prancing now. Not tauntingly though. Lukas crawled through the trees, he noticed Thomas following him with his eyes and made a "cut it out" motion. He didn't exactly want the prince dead at the moment. He scooted forward further in the trees, peering down near the bush. Nothing... That was... Offputting. Lukas frowned, gripping a tree branch over the path tightly and swinging down from it. The bark scraped at his palms. "Iris-" He called, waiting impatiently as the mare moved over, swinging her butt and allowing him to set himself down on her back. He hummed. "Odd. Eugh. Today is just giving me a weird feeling." He sighed, shaking his head. He gathered Iris' reins once more. The mare seemed a bit less alert now. "Whatever it was it's gone now. Come on. I don't want you dying." He murmured, nodding his head toward the path. (Oopsies- Guess I'm the one with the dirty mind. 🤓)

Thomas d'Malvane Tom let out a small, amused snort as Lukas hauled himself up into a tree, looking away when Lu mutely instructed him to. Judging by the lack of any sort of reaction from Lu, Tom figured it was just a big ol' rabbit or something, and Nox was just a whiney baby. Well, he already knew the latter. Iris, he noted, was decidedly better behaved for Lukas than Nox was for Tom, given Nox would probably bolt if given a chance, though not before kicking at Tom. "Tell me about it. It was just a fat-ass rabbit trying to get a better look at you," Tom chirped cheekily, though in that case, he sure as hell wouldn't blame the critter. Nox finally worked up the courage to pass the big bad evil bush monster, seemingly because a 'silly little mare' did it just fine. Though Nox was not leaving without getting the last word in and kicked at the bush. Only when it didn't grunt and keel over in pain did the stallion decide he'd totally saved the day, all on his own. "Aww, somebody cares," Tom said overly sappily. (yup it's you xD)

Lukas Rin Lukas rolled his eyes. "I don't have a choice to care- but yes. I care about you." He said, him and Iris continued down the trail. They walked for a bit in silence, the hoofbeats thudded against the dirt trail. "Do not leave on a wim. Or without me." He said firmly, glancing at him with a glare. "I know how your brain works." He grunted. His glare softened. "I'm not joking. Don't." Lukas said, looking forward as he ran a thumb along Iris' reins. (Sorry it's short lol- should we do a time skip?)

Thomas d'Malvane "Well you do have a choice, you'd just have to pretend to tolerate me," Tom countered. Tom just watched Nox's mane moving against his neck in a mesmerizing rhythm until Lukas spoke again. "Hmkay, fine," Tom relented, though he'd really, really rather have Lu with him than not. At the very least he was good company, far better than Nox. Thomas had already decided that Animus would be staying behind, as her crystalline white coat was too flashy and recognizable. "All too well you do, my friend." - A few hours later, at the castle Tom was in his father's sickeningly-ornate packing clothes for the trip, having decided sooner was better than later. He gathered up anything he could find that wasn't exquisitely decorated and came up with mainly the king's traveling clothes, conveniently. King Winsire was a rather sensible man, so it made sense that he'd have a plenty large collection of less gaudy clothing. Rolling everything together neatly to save space, Tom tied it and slung it over his shoulder, stopping to grab an assorted pouch of coins containing roughly 5 or 6 tesu and fixed it securely to his belt. Better safe than sorry. The prince made his way outside to the stables where he'd asked Lu to meet him after grabbing food provisions from the expansive kitchens. Tom had already stopped at the queen's apartments and dropped off a letter explaining his plan, being too big of a chicken to face her in person.
