Celeste Harlow - Celeste felt well rested and in a much better mood. That was good she was better mood, it made her less likely to kill someone. She laughed a bit at the boys joke, giving him a sweet smile "Yes, black as my soul" she joked as well. Celeste found herself actually liking the boy. He was actually decent compared to most humans, and she had actually enjoyed their time together. Though she didn't get exactly what she payed for, she was fine with how they'd spent their time. She was happy, the boy looked much more rested and content as well, and the boy didn't feel violated. Celeste was perfectly fine with that. Maybe even happy for the boy, and grateful that she could give him that time off to get some real rest.

Sage just hummed lightly and nodded when the girl joked back, flashing her a sort of friendly smile and wandered over to work the machine, pouring her the cup of coffee and then back to her, handong the cul over alongside the small bowls they had cream, sugar, and spoons and such in. "Have at it," he chirped, sliding past her to give some other customers their drinks. Once that was done, he moved back to the kitchen to grab some more food orders and pass those out, continuing the cycle as time passed. It seemed to go slowly, but whatever. He felt....ok for once. And it was quite nice. (Bit short I'm heading out)

( Its fine, don't worry abt it :) ) Celeste Harlow - Celeste smiled at the boy and took the cup of coffee in her hand. "Thanks" she said politely and took a sip of the black coffee. Celeste didn't bother to add any sugar or cream to her drink. She actually enjoyed the bitterness. Most people didn't but she also wasn't 'most people'. As she continued to sip her coffee slowly, she watched the boy run around the tavern, taking and delivering orders to his customers. He seemed much more calm and relaxed than he did last night, and she took pride in the thought that she was the reason for that. Although, she never did quite catch the boys name... After a bit, when her coffee was about half empty, she caught the boy, and quickly said "Hey, I never caught your name." Celeste made sure to be quick in her short conversation with the boy, as he was working and he did have many many tables to tend to.

Sage had fallen into the pattern he always did...kitchen, food, checkin, orders, and then back around again. Over and over again. Of course, when the girl stopped him, he sort of cocked his head before realizing he didn't know who she was either. "I'm sage," he noted lightly. "And you?" Once she told him he simply nodded and offered her a friendly smile. "Nice to meet you," he hummed. "stop by anytime," he added before sweeping off again to tend to someone who had already passed put on the table in the corner of the room. He never really understood why people drank.... especially to the point where they passed out. It just caused so many issues, and even though he wished something would take all his pain away, a drink certainly wasn't going to do it for him. Besides serving them, he made a point to stay as far away from it as possible....the way his father drank and treated him along with how the customers at the tavern acted made sure of that.

( Btw, whts his last name? I need it for Celestes assignment name ) Celeste Harlow - "Celeste" she said, answering Sage. "Will do" she commented, flashing him a sweet smile and then turned back to her cup of bitter coffee as the boy left. Taking the last sip of her coffee, she set twenty dollars down next to her empty cup and got up to leave. She was already checked out of her room, so she was all set to leave. As she was on her way out she managed to catch Sages eye one last time. She threw him a soft smile and gave a little wave, before turning and leaving. Celeste quite enjoyed the time she'd spent with the boy, but to be perfectly honest, her work took her all over the world, killing many different types of people and creatures for the Empress. Doing this work meant never knowing where you were off to next. It could be years before she came back to this town, years before she saw Sage again. But it also could be a matter of days. She really had no clue. As Celeste walked down the crowded streets of the small town, she followed the signs to the train station. The streets where still heavily littered due to the Festival last night, but Celeste paid no mind to it.

Sage nodded lightly when she responded, tucking the name and her face into the back of his mind. He didn't know her well .. and they certainly weren't what either of them would call friends....but she was nice to him, and he could talk with her for a bit if he ever saw her again. It seemed like she was just visiting, as he'd never seen her around before, but he found himself hoping she'd be back. He wasn't sure why....but he was. It was strange, to be honest, but soon enough the thoughts left his mind as he just worked at doing his job. The hours went by quickly, and soon enough everyone had left the tavern, and he went about wiping off tables and such as he cleaned up everyone's mess. - That took a few hours, and then he had some time before he had to be in the next morning, so he went home. Liz was already asleep, but it was nice to just be able to settle down nearby his daughter and see her. Especially to see her happily resting in her pile of blankets. He missed her while he was working, he really did. Edited at August 20, 2024 10:32 AM by NightClan

Celeste Harlow - Celestes heels tapped on the black marble palace floors as she made her way into the throne room, where the Empress Morticia was sitting in her black and silver throne, her thorny crown upon her head. Celeste made her way to the Empress, stopping about 6 feet in front of her throne and bowing respectfully. When Celeste rose, she folded her hands behind her back. "Mission Completed" Celeste said evenly and simply. "Awaiting my new assignment" she said eagerly dipping her head respectfully. "Well done, my little demon." The Empress said proudly, and snapped her fingers. A skinny vampire servant rushed up to Celeste, handing her new black assignment envelope. "Lucky you, not much travel nessacary for this one." The Empress mused. "Thank you, your majesty." Celeste said dipping her head once again. "You are dismissed." The Empress commanded. Celeste bowed again before turning and walking away, out the same door she entered, holding the envelope in her hand.

Sage had settled down for the night, and had wound up falling asleep where he was sitting in the corner. He was only out for a few hours, and was woken when Liz crawled into his lap... apparently she'd woken briefly and wanted to crawl come over. He didn't blame her ....he was almost never home, and he did feel and about it but he didn't have much of a choice. He simply wrapped his arms around her, soft smile on his face as she went back to sleep on his chest. She was barely a year old, and despite him never really being around, she always seemed to be happy. Forgive whatever he may have done wrong. It was certainly nice to know how much she still loved him. - He stayed with her the rest of the night, and took the time in the morning to get her ready for the day and off to class. Well, it was more like a daycare since she was so young, but they taught some things. And it kept her away from his drunk father. A lot of his money went to that....mostly tips from rooms, really. But he'd never gotten a good education, and he couldn't teach her anything himself even if he had the time to do so. So, this gave her the best chance of having a good life. He had to hurry in to work after that, and went back to his normal schedule of taking orders, getting food, and trying to avoid anyone flirting with him or hitting or throwing food or ... basically any communication with people he didn't need to have.

Celeste Harlow - Celeste didn't need to sleep tonight, as she had slept last night, so she might as well find out who she was after today and get going. As she exited the throne room she ripped open the black envelope. Taking the peice of black paper out of the black envelope and unfolding it. Her victims information was all on this paper, and on the very top of the paper was their name written in very formal and fancy calligraphy, glistening gold ink. On the top of her paper was written 'Sage (idk his last name)'. Shit. Wait, it could be a different Sage... Nope. Most papers had a mugshot of the victim underneath their name, and Celestes paper did. And all of his information on the paper, his age, height, looks, last seen, proffession, current home adress, and creature type all checked out. She was clearly killing Sage. Celeste normally wouldn't have any sympathy for her victims, as normally the victims had always done something to anger the Empress and get a severe enough punishment such as death. But what could Sage have done? What could that sweet, handsome boy ever do to anger the Empress?

Sage had started to go about his day on the tavern, handing out plates and making sure customers all got what they wanted to get. As in, mostly drinks. The bar was full the entire day, which wasn't abnormal but still rather annoying in his opinion....people didn't need to get that drunk all the time, did they? Apparently, they thought so. - The day went by slower than normal....maybe it was because he knew he'd been assigned to a room that night, and he really wasn't pleased with it. He knew what was coming, and he was trying to make everything take as long as possible. Without making customers mad, that was. That never ended well for him. Of course, the owner obviously felt he was going to slow, since he now bore a nasty bruise and cut on his cheek bone from his cane. Which was really just a big stick, but either way it hurt. And he figured it would hurt for a while.
