Josephine's expression softened as she looked at him. "I'm sorry to hear that.. You could say I have issues with trust," she said vaguely, not yet comfortable enough to tell him what had happened. She didn't even talk about it with her parents.

was finishing an art order, sorry) Caleb nodded, respecting her privacy. He understood it better than she realized, having grown up with a hateful mother and brother. He sighed. "I should probably head to bed." He commented, glancing at the now dark sky

That's okay!) Josephine nodded, clearing her throat quietly as if it would rid her of the bad thoughts. "Of course, as should I." Her parents were likely to come looking for her soon if they didn't see her. "Maybe we will take that ride tomorrow? I can show you around the property if you'd like," she offered, making sure Tobias' stall was closed up properly.

"Sure" He said, nodding and smiling at her. "Night" He added, striding off to his new room. He changed into sweatpants before climbing into his bed and laying there for a second. He grabbed his phone and opened tiktok, just doomscrolling to fall asleep

"Goodnight," she responded before heading back into the main house. She went to her room and changed into an oversized t-shirt and a pair of shorts before climbing into bed. The next morning Josephine found herself a little excited as well. She was still nervous, but the excitement outweighed that. She got dressed, pulling on her boots as she headed down to the barn to get Tobias out. She led him away to get him tacked up, seeing that Caleb was already there. "Good morning," she greeted, smiling faintly.

"Morning" He said, grinning as he tightened the latigo. He put the bridle on his mare before walking her out of the barn and mounting up

Josephine finished tacking up Tobias, tightening what ever needed more attention before putting the bridle on. She led the gelding out of the barn before mounting. It felt weird but also good to be in the saddle, her body melting in comfortably as she looked over at Caleb. "Alright. You wanna just pick a direction and go?"
