Elara could read his body language, the glance he cast adding more to what she thought. "Hey, we'll be alright. If I can't defend you, i'm sure he can." She ressured, gesturing to Varys's large frame hulking in the shadows of the street. |

Sage glanced back at her, and then at the wolf, shoulders relaxing slightly as he noted the animal. "Let's just get out of here," he managed to get out after a moment or so, hoping he wasn't visibly shaking. It sure felt like he was....but he also didn't want to get into the details of his life for the past month very much. And Amy could be back any second....which terrified him. |

Elara nodded, knowing he was scared terrified as they went. She guided him through the crowd, eventually coming to a well hidden trail in complete forest, eventually turning up to the cabin where Elara ushered him towards the fire, starting one up to cook something for him. |

Sage followed Elara, clutching Liz against his chest, only relaxing once they were back to the cabin. He sat down by the fire slowly, mostly just sinking to the ground as his legs slowly gave out under him. It seemed crazy he'd managed to get this far. He knew she'd hunt him down for this, but she didn't know they were here, so he did try to get his mind off of it, especially once he smelled something cooking. He turned his eyes to Elara, who was putting on food, eyeing the meat, a hungry gleam taking over his eyes. |

Elara took the fox off the fire and cut it, giving most to Sage, a large chunk to Varys, and only eating a strip, not needing anything more. She plated it and slid it to Sage. "Eat," The woman ordered, giving the rest to Liz. |

Sage took the food gratefully once it was done, shoving it into his mouth a quickly as possible. He wasn't sure the last time he'd had such a good meal. It was gone quickly, and he murmured a thank you to Elara before turning his gaze to Liz. "When did she start eating solid food," he asked softly, knowing he'd missed so much of his daughter's life. Important things. |

"Who knows, got no way to keep track of time. Probably a few months ago, maybe." Elara informed, tone the same. "Was going to teach her how to call you her dad but, realized at the time I couldn't don't have anything that looked like you." She mused, watching as Varys bolted over to Sage, jumping on to man. |

Sage nodded slowly, gaze fixed on the little girl. When Varys came over, he sort of just wrapped his arms around him, glad for the comfort the animal brought. "I am sorry I just...left her here with you," he noted softly after a moment. "I just...she would have killed her. She's nearly killed me a few times," he added, fingers straying to one of the many bruises his hair was hiding before dropping it again. He didn't want her to notice and worry or...anything. Or did he want her help? He really wasn't sure. |

Elara put a hand up when he started apologizing, waving it off. "Listen, you did what you had too, I don't blame you for it." When he said she'd kill Liz, she just looked at him in shock. "I don't know, sounds like a crazy person." She started, trailing off when she saw the bruises. "Put your hair up again," The woman asked, only catching a glimpse of them. |

Sage sort of snorted out a sort of laugh at her comment, though it wasn't really an amused one. It was just...yeah, she was pretty crazy. He stilled when she told him to put his hair up again, fear flashing through his eyes for a split second. "Why," he asked after a moment, trying to get out of the situation. Though, if she could help him...no, why would she want to? Honestly he wasn't sure what he wanted. He wanted a friend, someone he could trust and talk to. He wanted to keep all this to himself. It was confusing, to say the least. |
