Caelan eventually pulled himself together and walked down to the dungeon. He laid a blanket over Adele and propped her head onto a pillow. He kissed her cheek and left without saying another word. Just kill yourself. It'll be better for her. She doesn't want you. Get out of the picture. His mind urged him as he walked to his study |

Adele felt something warm being draped over her, and opened her eyes to see who it was. She saw Caelan disappear out the cell door, and something about how he was walking terrified her. It looked almost... Hopeless? Like there was no point in life anymore. In fact, now that she thought about it, her Caelan, the Caelan she loved, would act just like that if Adele left his life. Heart pounding, and hardly thinking about what she was doing or why she was doing it, Adele jumped up and raced after the king. She didn't care that everyone she ran past looked at her in confusion and distaste. She needed to reach Caelan. Seeing the door to his study close out of the corner of her eye, she quickly made her way to the room and, not thinking that intruding on Caelan could be a bad idea, flung open the door. |

Caelan quickly wiped the tear from his eyes and stood, hardly able to think. "Adele?" He breathed, relaxing. "I-I'm sorry, I didn't ask for you to be kidnapped. I would never ask that. I-" He stopped talking and looked at the floor, barely keeping his tears in-check as he hid his face out of shame. "I know you hate me. Just tell me to die." Caelan muttered, his voice breaking |

Adele made her way to him, letting him talk. When he finished, she put his hands on his shoulders, looking him in the eye. She spoke firmly but with compassion. "Don't be ridiculous. One, I don't hate you and never have, two, why in the world would I tell you to die? If I did that I'd have to die myself. And I believe you about not asking for me to be kidnapped. I shouldn't have listened to your mother. I don't even know what happened, but I know you'd never do that and I'll love you forever no matter what." She pulled her hands to herself and looked down in shame. "I'm sorry if I scared you. I should've talked to you right away and sorted it out, but I was so confused... And hurt, at the same time. I thought you had ordered me thrown in prison, and was so worried I'd done something wrong. I didn't want to lose you, but I'm an heir and need to be safe... I'm sorry..." Her voice broke, and she stared at her hands, waiting for Caelan to do something. She hoped he wasn't too mad... But then again, he had the right to be. |

Caelan took her into his arms and began silently crying. "I love you more than you can ever imagine" He breathed, holding her close |

Adele let him embrace her, stunned that he wasn't angry. Though it made sense. She knew him well enough that he likely couldn't survive without her, and having her his again was so relieving that he couldn't be mad. She smiled a little, and tilted her head to peck his cheek. "I love you, too." She felt a tear slide down her own cheek, this time from relief and happiness. Adele was happy to stay there in his arms forever, surrounded and protected by his love and care. |

"I'm sorry that happened to you. How can you not hate me?" Caelan breathed, burying his face into her neck. "I love you so much" He said, kissing her neck over and over. "Stay with me? Please? Just tonight at least." |

"I'm sorry it happened as well. But it taught me that I can always trust you, no matter what. And I couldn't hate you, you didn't do anything except stand up for me." Adele nodded, happy to do whatever he wanted. "Of course." She pulled away from him and sat on his study chair. Suddenly, she remembered why she was here in the first place. "Oh, Caelan!" She said excitedly, jumping up again. "This morning my mother said the Prince August's family is cancelling the betrothal!" |

So sorry, writer's block is starting to hit me :( "So...we can get married in the future? Not right now, seeing as I have quite a few things to clear up with the entire kingdom, but maybe in the future?" He said. He'd been planning on getting a ring and asking for her father's blessing sometime that week. |

(No problem! For our other RP I'm having trouble deciding what my character's personality should be like, so we've both got it.) . Adele shrugged, smiling. "Probably? I have no idea how any of that stuff works." She admitted. She went silent again. Something was on the edge of her mind, but she couldn't quite grasp it... "Oh!" She exclaimed, remembering. "Calvin is still out in the woods somewhere, with all his tack on. Poor guy. Do you want to go out to find him with me?" She asked Caelan. |
