Zephyr smiled faintly at her .. weirdly comforting words. He then lowered himself to the ground beside her, staring at the sky for a second before glancing at her ankle with a worried look. "It's more swollen than before. I wish I could just wave a hand and all your pain would just... disappear. Poof." He huffed quietly, snorting as she told him he could go. "Weren't you the one that said you weren't leaving my side because some crazy person was going to do a big dramatic thing that might end in me dying?" He asked, his tone drily sarcastic. He flopped back on the grass to stare at the sky again, the light blue making his dark blue eyes twinkle. "I'm not going anywhere. Unless you're going somewhere. Then I'll move." He said, stretching slightly, wincing as his stomach sent a bolt of pain through his body. He pushed himself back to a sit, trying not to move, as he had already aggravated the wound.

Tempe offered him a faint smile for his sweet comment. "I wish it worked like that. But that's adorable." She grinned, reaching over to rub his arm momentarily. She snickered softly at him and went back to rubbing ointment on her ankle, wincing faintly before she moved to put on the brace. "That was me. On second thought, you're sticking with me." She chuckled, strapping up the brace and then laying back next to him. She grinned at his comment, watching his eyes for a moment, tracing the little flecks of gold she saw. She blew out a breath at his wince, watching him sit up. "Let's just stay here for a while, then. How are you doing?" She asked quietly, rubbing her hand in small circles on his back.

Zephyr cast a frown her way. "Not adorable." He said stubbornly. "But I wish it worked like that too. Pain sucks." He huffed quietly, glancing at her with a small smile. "I knew you'd say that." He commented lightly, hoping the brace helped with her penguin limping problem. "Yeah, staying here sounds like a good idea. I'm fine- as always- I just learned stretching is a bad idea." He answered, glaring at the wound hidden under his shirt, hoping if he glared at it long enough it'd just leave. Of course, it didn't, but he kind of figured it wouldn't. His skin tingled under her gentle touch, making his brain again flit to how he had changed so much in the course of a few days. He had different problems now, like being too much of a worrier, but at least some of his other problems were fixed. Needless to say, he'd always enjoy hugs from now on.

"Adorable." Tempe confirmed teasingly, smiling at his words. "Am I that predictable?" She teased, shifting her legs to get more comfortable. It hurt considerably less with the brace, but still stung. She moved to sit up, shifting closer to him so she could set her head against his shoulder. "Most things are a bad idea when in pain." She teased softly, continuing to rub gentle circles over his back. "Do you think someone will be angry that we aren't participating?" She asked quietly.

Zephyr scowled slightly, but it disappeared rather swiftly as well. "You are rather predictable. If you're not talking about stabbing things it's usually cuddling." he smiled faintly, snorting softly at her next words. Of course, everything just had to hurt, making everything he did painful and unhelpful and everything. At her question, he made a face. "Probably. But if anyone dares ask, I WILL smack them so hard they see stars. No one is going to get more hurt because they play a game with ONE rule- NO KILLING." He huffed irritably, glancing around the camp, which had gone oddly silent. The game must've started. Without really realizing it, he leaned into her just slightly, thinking. "How's your ankle feeling?" he finally asked, glancing at her.

"Fair enough." Tempe giggled, grinning at his temporary scowl. She shifted into him slightly at his semi-protective huff, chuckling. "Well, let's hope for their sake that no one asks." She smiled, closing her eyes as he leaned into her. She shrugged at his question. "Fine. It's better now, because of you, but it still hurts." She said simply.

Zephyr looked slightly amused at her grinning smiling chuckling self. At least someone was happy. "Let's hope." He repeated, casting a glare into the world before letting his eyes drift partway shut, trying to regain some energy he had lost. He then glanced at her as she answered, smiling. Not because of what she said, but because of what she said. His smile grew wider as he thought. "Sorry- I'm not grinning like a maniac because you said it still hurts, but because you said it still hurts." He grinned, chuckling lightly. "It's not good that it hurts, but THANK YOU for actually admitting it. Now do that with every wound you get and we'll be good to go!" He elaborated with a slightly amused smile, glancing up at the sky. Quite a bit of time had already passed. Hopefully tomorrow would be a better day for pain-related things.

"Agh, you suck. Don't rub my nose in it." Tempe huffed, pressing a light kiss to his cheek. "I'm never admitting it again." She huffed, shifting to lay her head in his lap and close her eyes. "You're not welcome." She grumbled quietly, shifting to get more comfortable.

"I'm not rubbing you're nose in it! I'm saying you should continue doing it!! Nooooo don't never admit it again you cruel person!" Zephyr groaned, huffing. "You're rude." He answered haughtily. He absent-mindedly grabbed a couple strands of her hair and started braiding it, then moving on and doing another and another until there were 14 little thin braids in her blonde hair. His eyes then focused and he realized what he had been doing, but he didn't stop- because after they were made, he could unwind them all, and still not be bored. Two birds with one stone. Tempe rolled her eyes at him, crossing her arms over her midriff. "Nope. Never, ever, ever again." She teased, grinning at his comment. "Who, me? No way! I had no idea." She grinned sarcastically, opening her eyes in surprise as he began braiding her hair. She gave a soft, appreciative hum and relaxed against his legs, watching him braid happily. "Where did you learn to braid?" She asked softly, reaching to fiddle gently with the hem of his shirt. She closed her eyes after, content to let him do whatever he wanted with her hair.
